Maxim Roofing Company

Overall the entire process went well. We received quotes from 3 different companies. Steve represented Maxim. Overall he was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Maxim Roofing was not the cheapest, but they were not the most expensive. They were on par with other companies that use quality products and shingles. About 3-4 weeks after I agreed to have the work done the crew came out. The majority of the job took about 3 days. The did their best to clean up the job site at the end of each day. We had some fairly complex flashing and counter flashing around 2 chimneys and 2 shed dormers. All look fantastic, professional, and I feel confident they won't leak. A few items worth noting: 1) There are literally thousands of nails holding a roof on. When you remove a roof there are bound to be some nails that don't make it onto the tarps and don't get picked up by the magnet they run around the yard at the end of the day. I purchased my own magnet and ran it around the yard. I picked up lots of nails. I don't blame the crew for this at all. I would suggest that any home owner do this several times over a couple weeks to pickup the majority of the nails. 2) We had several nails that were shot below the nailing strip and were exposed on the top of the shingles. The crew moves so quick with the nailing gun that I can understand how easy that is to do. I contacted Maxim Roofing and they came out and repaired the problems without any argument whatsoever. Overall I would recommend this company.

I called for an inspection appointment and received a call back from Kevin in a few hours. He was available the next morning to come out and look at our gutters and give an estimate on their leaf relief installation. We bought a house a few months ago and had leaks from our gutters, so we were wondering how badly they were clogged with leaves. Kevin arrived promptly at the appointment time. He walked around our entire roof and checked all of the gutters. He found 3 paper clips, a tennis ball, 2 parts of shingles that the roofers had left, a toad, and 1 leaf, all of which he removed from the gutters. The tennis ball had clogged one of the downspouts and was keeping the water from draining. Otherwise, our gutters were clean. Kevin didn't tell me our gutters needed to be replaced. He did point out a couple of gutter spikes that need to be pushed back in. He didn't try to push me into buying the leaf relief. He didn't charge me for unclogging the drain or removing the items from the gutters. Kevin was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. When we need a new roof or gutters, we will certainly call him to do the job. His honesty was appreciated, and his willingness to take care of the customer was apparent in how he handled the visit today. I will be recommending him to our friends and neighbors.

They came promptly. It was just a problem and they fixed it at no cost.

Kevin from Maxim was an outstanding professional in every way. The work was done well and the clean-up was reasonable; some sealant was splashed on my neighbors house, and they cleaned it up as soon as they were notified about it. There was trash left in the backyard, but it was small. I told Kevin that the backyard had to stay clean for my two dogs, and there were never any loose nails or debris. Once we have the house painted this spring, they will comeback and install the new guttering.

My house is 170 years old with many add on additions over the years. It is two story with 2 covered porches, a bay window and a garage that was attached to one of the porches. There are many angles and 2 failing chimneys. Because of the asbestos an abatement team was needed for part of the removal. The crews worked well together and at no time was I concerned about having any exposure if rain was coming. The crews consulted with me concerning issues on the chimneys which were failing on 2 unusable fireplaces. They snapped pics on their cell phones so I could see the damage. I chose to have them removed. They cleaned up the areas and at no time were they disruptive to my activities. I was very well satisfied and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again. Their bid for the project was also about $3,000 lower than a bid from another company from last year for the same scope of work.

They were the most expensive. They were okay I guess. The quote was fine. It was the highest and that is why I chose not to go with them.

Their prices were in line with the other companies. It was a big job and it took him all afternoon. They cleaned up very well after completion. They did a good job with the work.

Installation was fine except for downspout which is placed incorrectly. have been calling to get it resolved but has not been fixed yet.

I needed roof done quickly for insurance need. Maxim was very helpful in scheduling to get roof done as soon as possible. The crew did a fantastic job. They worked from 8AM to 7PM and were finished in 2 days. Everyone in this company was very helpful/friendly/ and professional. They were here 2 days and cleaned up after both days. I was very impressed and would recommend them to anyone.

Our neighbors were impressed with the workers. They were very friendly, worked hard and finished quick. The area was cleaned up and all debris was hauled away at the end of each day. It took two days to complete the work.

The technician was very courteous and professional. He climbed into the attic to take a look at our leak and took pictures with his cell phone to show me what the problem was. He alerted me that our bathroom exhaust vent was not working which was causing moisture to be trapped in the attic, which was starting to cause mildew. We had him replace that also.

Responded quickly for qoute. Staff seemed experienced and knowledgable. Some delays getting us started, says because of weather throwing them off schedule. Workmanship seems good. Staff clened up nicely. Responsive to question during work.

I think there are 2 owners and Kevin is one of them, that's who I talked to. They did a very good job. They had different groups and they sent the same group every time and they were not Mexicans. Not that I'm against Mexicans, but I want to support American people. He did a very good job, the people did a good job in clean up. He did exactly what he said he was going to do and in timely fashion. We had an awful amount of rain at that time and it held him up a few days but he was right back on it when he could. They sent the same group and they finished up and were gone. It took about a week because of the rain. They tore it off and he put a vent at the top of my roof. He put in wood and covered where the other vents had been. Instead of 6 vents, you have one right at the top of your house which is where all the heat raises anyway. It seems to be cooler up in the attic, not as hot as it was. They filled the cracks in our cedar siding. They put in metal flashing around the chimney and it was all new stuff. He put water shield at the gutter line all the way around. They put an ice shield so that ice won't build up in there. He did a good job. If I had to use somebody again, I would consider him. I liked him. They took the gutter shields off and then put them back. They had a job foreman that watched everyone and made sure they did their jobs. They all worked all the time they were here. He charged me exactly what he said he would charge me.

I called to use my Big Deal in October - two appointments made, only one kept. Called again on 5/22 to schedule a repair estimate of a new issue, hoping to still use the value of my big deal. Showed up on time 5/23, spent a long time expecting damage, and stated the estimate for repairs would be emailed to my personal account. I'm still waiting for that estimate. I made it clear I needed to have the repairs done to maintain my homeowners insurance. Still waiting..........................Have called another company, NOT listed on Angies, List, but approved by the BBB

I did have to have the gutter ordered. Maxim got the gutter in, put it up and sent me a bill in the mail. It couldn't have been any easier! I highly recommend this company and will certainly use it again.

The service from them was excellent. I've had it for 2 years and it's still in really good shape and I haven't had to call them back or anything. I've recommended them to people.

I had been having problems with a water leak inside of my home in the kitchen every time it rained outside. I contacted the office after reading the reviews on Angie's List. The receptionist was very friendly and professional. She took my information and I received a phone call that evening to schedule an appointment. They sent an employee out the next morning to look at my roof. He arrived early and was very professional. I showed him the problem. He checked my roof and determined that the storm collars needed to be resealed. I also had loose gutters and fascia board that needed to be re-secured. He completed the repairs and the price was reasonable. It has rained since the repairs and I have not had any problems with water leaking into that area. I would definitely recommend this company for any roofing service.

Everything went well. They were very responsive when I called to schedule, they arrived on time, and they completed the work in a timely manner. Furthermore, they did a great job with the repairs, and I haven't had any problems with the roof.

They were prompt and knew the industry, giving me alternatives to pursue repair.

We decided to go with a complete replacement in September/October 2013. We got quotes from maxim, e&e, and bone dry (out of Cincinnati). When all the quotes came back, e&e and maxim were roughly the same, while bone dry was almost %20 higher. We signed a contract to complete the work, and while waiting, the government shutdown. Being a government contractor, if the shutdown lasted much longer than it did, I would have been laid off until they reopened. So I called Kevin with concern that I would not have money to pay him. Kevin said, "I would never want a customer to feel pressured, especially over financial matters. I can let you out of the contract if you like." I thought this was extremely professional, and is indicative of the type of company maxim is. Long story short, government got back to work, roof went on and looks great, gutters went up and look great. The crews were very good, took their time, and were respectful. I give maxim the highest recommendation possible.

Roof inspection and maintenance up to $600 value. Maxim was easy to reach, prompt, and worked hard and professionally to give my aging roof the service it needed. I like them!

The estimate for the work was given in a very prompt and professional manner. The price was very competitive. The work was completed in an extremely efficient and professional way. It there was not a new roof on my house I would not have known the crew had been here because the clean up was so thorough. Not a scrap of anything left in the yard. I cannot say enough good things about this company and their work.

Things went WELL overall. Kevin from Maxim was very thorough. He explained the issues I had and also explained why I wouldn't benefit from the "BIG DEAL" special, it was determined I had bigger issues that a simple maintenance and leak repair couldn't fix. I have no issues with Kevin nor Maxim Roofing. I couldn't have asked for a better company. After viewing other estimates we will likely have the work done by them, because I was VERY impressed with his professionalism. I appreciate it when service providers treat the consumer with respect and don't view them as just $$$$ signs. You have found a gem with Maxim Roofing being on your list !!!!!
