JMD Hardwood Floors

Mike did an excellent job from start to finish. He refinished 100-year-old hardwood floors in our living room, dining room and front hall. He was extremely professional, answered all of our questions, offered good advice and was easy to work with. Mike arrived on time, worked hard, and completed the project on time. There was very little mess or dust; Mike cleaned up each day before he left our home. We felt that the price we paid was very fair. Best of all - our floors are absolutely beautiful! We highly recommend Mike and JMD Hardwood Floors.

Absolutely stunning work and a completely positive experience all around. Mike was super easy to work with along every step of the process-- from quickly scheduling a walk through of the house to provide a quote, to working with me to schedule the work in my somewhat tight schedule, to being extremely communicative and helpful throughout the entire actual process. This was a new house we were just moving into and we actually had a plumbing disaster a couple of days into the sanding process that required the plumbers to take up the floor boards on the 2nd floor to fix-- we thought this would be a complete disaster but Mike did such a superb job of sanding, repairing, and staining the floors that you can hardly even see that the floors boards were ever cut. My hardwood floors are absolutely stunning, all scratches were removed, and he was so careful with the sanding that we hardly had any dust debris to speak of. Truly this was an exceptional experience and I have been recommending Mike's work to all of my friends!

The team was knowledgeable courteous and timely. They also had good ideas for problem spaces in the closets. They use quality boards from Sheoga lumber which has sustainable harvesting standards. The new floor is just beautiful. The molding finish work around the baseboards is not part of what they offer so you have to plan for that separately.

We had someone else do some of our floors about 10 years ago. We gave them an "A" on Angie's List. If we had seen Mike's work, we would have known what "A" work really looks like. It was clean, smooth, and complete. They paid attention to even the smallest details, filling tiny nail holes and sanding the steps around some challenging banisters. Absolutely top-notch work.

Start to finish, in one word ... excellent! We researched a few contractors and JMD really exceeded our expectations. We had some damage in spots on a rental house we own and Michael worked magic and made them look new again. They are reasonably priced for such craftsmanship. Highly recommend and we will be using them again!

Mike and his crew were (are) totally professional. They showed up when they said they were going to, and did great work. I had some challenges with adhesives from old flooring but those were resolved and my floors look great.

Mike was great! Came sat at 9 am was finished w/everything by 6 pm Sunday evening. I was really worried about having wood dust everywhere. But Mike was clean And there was very little residue. We were originally going to put a light stain down before varnishing. But the floors were such a pretty natural color we just varnished them

It went amazing. It took longer than expected but Mike was open and honest about it needing extra time. Trust me it wasn't his fault our floors were in rough shape. Once he was done they looked like new. He did an amazing job. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat.
