GT Painting

This is the second time we have had Greg Thomas do work for us. He is excellent in every category: Hard working, efficient, on time, very professional and easy to get along with. Keeps things as clean as possible while work is going on and cleaned very well after the job was done. The price was very reasonable. He knows what he is doing an made some good suggestions about colors. I will have him back in a heartbeat the next time I need interior painting.

Update: April 16 2014, I spoke with Greg about returning to correct the paint drips and other issues related to walls not being covered. He informed me he would not be back to fix the white paint drips and brush marks on my green walls. All I got from him were excuses. He didn't care, as he informed me. Update: April 17 2014 In response to his comments on here: Say's to "cancel the check," But cashed the check anyways. " He doesn't work for free" As he so wrote below. So I should pay you more money to fix your screw up? Typical character attribute of a "low end painter" Of course he won't refund me or reduce cost nor accept any responsibility. Blame the customer, good business practice. I have no interest in you returning to fix your "glorious work." In hind sight, I should of just turned you away after one look of you getting out of your cadillac to give an estimate. Good luck in your future endeavors. Member Beware! I had Greg from GT painting fixed my bathroom ceiling. I had areas that were peeling and needed to re-textured. I asked for the ceiling to be carefully painted as to not get paint or materials on the walls. I wanted only to have to touch up where the walls meet the ceiling. I have white ceiling paint drips and cast off on my green walls, he never wiped up these drips. I have paint over my light fixtures, walls, floor, bathroom enclosure and carpet in the bedroom. I had to wipe off the drywall joint compound sanding residue off the walls to prep for painting. You need to be more aware. I had to bring to his attention that the edges of the ceiling were not textured and it was obviously not going to blend in as he stated. He left 2-3 inch areas along the side of non-textured ceiling. He went back up and corrected the issue after I brought it up. I am extremely disappointed in the overall work. Sure, the ceiling texturing went well, but I should not have to repaint the whole bathroom walls due your poor prepping and lack of protecting the walls.Your work is overshadowed by the work needed to fix the walls. When Greg showed me the work, I was only looking at the ceiling work not the walls. I made the mistake and assumed they were cleaned. It wasn't until I went up to look again after he left, that I saw the mess. Your carelessness is causing a simple touch up job into a bigger deal to correct your painting. I should not have to go back over your work when I payed you to do a job correctly. I paid you to do a professional job, not a short cut job that you slap paint on the walls as you would do renovating an apartment Due to my experience with GT painting, I could not in good conscience recommend him to anyone.

I called Gregory on short notice over the weekend and he was very accommodating, calling me back right away and we scheduled a job for Tuesday. He and his team were punctual and did a wonderful job painting our nursery. They were so polite and a pleasure to do business with. Will definitely be calling him if I need more painting done in the future!

Greg and Leon did a fantastic job! They were extremely professional and personable! I have other projects that need to be done in my house, and I will most definitely be contacting them! Once you find a contractor you can trust, you've hit the jackpot. Happy to say, my husband and I have hit the jackpot! I highly recommend GT Painting!

Painters were professional and kept the work areas clean. Additional costs for overtime work were reasonable.

Prompt- came out for an estimate the day I called and came to paint the next week. Courteous and efficient, cleaned up well, great price, and the the paint looks beautiful. Would definitely use again! Thanks Greg!

When I described the job to him he said he would not move any of the furniture despite what the Big Deal stated. He also said he wouldn’t paint any closets even though they are within the square footage of the deal. He complained that he has to turn a profit in order to do these deals. He should know the deals he is doing, and not complain to the customer.

work done very quickly with no supervision needed. excellent job done. only about6 a week passed between estimate and work completed. complete clean-up done afterwards, including replacing vents, etc., that had been removed by others. offered to paint two additional large rooms at a very reasonable price. would certainly recommend to others, and would use again without doubt.l

We had an old wallpaper mural on one wall in the living room we needed to remove, and then repaint. It did not come off easily - needed to be steamed, peeled and scraped. Greg was very professional, and provided great overall quality. Hard worker, nice guy. Would definitely use again. Not the low price guy, not the highest price guy, but overall good value for the money.

It was extremely difficult with a lot challenges. It went extremely well, they were very professional, and put down drop clothes and were neat, clean. They showed up on time, were extremely quiet working, and the work was done perfectly.

Patched all holes. Very neat and completely cleaned up after finished.

I called because of the offer for 8 hours of painting for $199. Greg called me immediately and discussed the details of the job on the phone. He then showed up exactly when he said!!!! I could not be happier with the work that Greg and his partner did. He is definitely a perfectionist and incredibly professional. Not a drop of paint anywhere, insisted on cleaning up - even wiping down the floor, and even though I didn't see it, applied a third coat - like I said, definitely a perfectionist. They did such a great job, they are coming back in two weeks to do more!!!!! Thank you Greg for a fabulous job.

Greg was great! He was a total pro. He contacted us immediately and set up the job recommending the paint, while giving a solid estimate of what he could accomplish in a day. He was very thorough and didn't take a break until the job was complete. The rooms look awesome and it was like he had never been there after he was done. Greg was very personable and pleasure to have come into our home to do the work. I would recommend him highly.

Greg called me the day after I bought his promotion ($199 for 8 hours of painting). We were able to set a date quickly. Greg called me about a half hour before he was supposed to arrive to let me know he was on his way. When Greg came into our house he was neat and careful with his shoes/snow. He took a look at the work to be done and quickly gathered his supplies and got straight to work. He was courteous, neat and hardworking. Greg worked 8 straight hours, completed the job and cleaned up well. I was very pleased with paint job he did, the room looks fabulous and the old beat up wood trim looks like new!

It went pretty well. Greg and his assistants were very punctual, communicated well with me, and worked on a weekend to finish the job. His pricing was competitive and they did a fairly neat job. I was a little shocked, however, at the final cost when it was time to write the check because it was a decent amount higher than the estimate I received. He justified the increase and he was correct - however I told him that next time I'd like to know this before it's time to remit payment. He apologized and said he would.

Greg was great. The quoted price was very reasonable. He was on time, efficient, very clean and very concerned that I was satisfied with the work. When he packed up after finishing the job, the work area was so clean you couldn't even tell he was there. I cannot recommend him highly enough. In fact, I have given his name and number to several friends in need of interior and exterior paining. He gets my highest rating!

They were fine. They were prompt and finished within the time frame that they gave us. They painted the first floor trim on the outside of the home. First they scraped and repaired; then they painted. The color was white and we discussed the brand of paint that we wanted to use and they picked that up and brought it with them. It was less than a week for them to finish the job. Just two painters came out. They were very nice and they knew what they came out to do.

Greg had painted the exterior of my house 10 years ago and did a great job. I was glad to see him on Angie's list when I was needing my living room/dining room & hallway painted. Greg did a great job painting and cleaning up as well. My house is apartment size and having any work done in it can be an inconvenience but Greg is fast and efficient.

They were great, very professional and did fantastic work. We will use them again.

Greg was promt with an estimate and was able to start work right away. Very professional, nice to deal with. Cleaned up everything, not a speck of material left. I'm very picky about even minor details, especially clean ups, and was very happy with his work. I would use him again, and would highly recommend him.

Greg did a great job. He on was on-time and cleaned up what was a messy job 10-20 feet in the air. He even went out of his way to paint another portion of the exterior that needed touched up for free. I will be using him again in the future.

Greg was extremely professional. He covered all exposed parts in and around what he was painting to avoid touching them with the paint. He was pleasant and efficient. I was extremely satisfied with his work and will use him again if I have another painting job.
