I liked everything about them. They were professional and did a lot of good work. They actually had to come back the second time to make it the way I wanted it. It just took a phone call and they were here and fixed it. They were good.

My husband actually is the board president and the board members are the ones who are responsible obviously for the budget and they are the ones who went over the bids from the companies that have submitted them. This company was the one that was chosen. They are contracted to our complex for the work as a whole, so the price would be based on their performance. The owners are paying part of the job and the association is paying the balance. This is a big job for them. I am pretty particular in trying to give somebody a perfect grade. It is hard for me to say about their price because I was not part of the process with negotiation, but I am sure that based on what I know about the bidding process, I would say that they must have been pretty reasonable and fair in their pricing. There quality is pretty good. There have been some issues where they have had to come back and they have come back in a timely manner and taken care of things. They responded to us within a reasonable amount of time and it depends on if it was something that could wait and obviously a lot of it is weather dependent as well because we had a very mild winter this time and the last winter would have been their first winter from getting their job started and we had a bad winter last year. They are always here on time. I do not know whether it is a fair assessment from one person for a whole complex, but everything has been topnotch. They respond in a timely manner. Their workmanship has been good. We have not had any issues yet that they have needed to come back and followup.

He sat down and talked with me, and he spent some time here. He was on time and I felt that he was thorough. He was willing to explain and go over any questions I had. We did not end up getting a roof because it was too late in the season, so we did not select anybody but I would probably call them back this spring. They were upfront with me as far as their work schedule, and even after he came, I had like a follow up call to find out if I had any other questions and whether to keep me on file. They were really the only people that followed up after the visit. He gave me the estimate and left, and they called back a few weeks later to see if I had made a decision or if I had any other concerns. They came in a timely fashion and they were upfront with me.

We had work done in 2007 and we just had a very small issue with the work they did. We called them; they came right up the next week and fixed it. We had our garage sided and five years later there was a little piece that was popping out when it was windy. When we called them, they came right up and they didn't say anything. The materials have a long warranty. I was really happy because I thought they were going to say since it's after five years it would cost us but they did it for no charge. They are just absolutely solid and their family is rooted in Euclid. Their father was a coach at Euclid for many years so it's not like they are going to be here and gone. They are here to stay. We had some roof work done in 2005 and when I tried to call him back we can't find them anywhere. There are places that will do things for cheaper but there is always a cost you have to wait a while or you may not find them ten years later. They are not the cheapest around.

What can I say, but they came and did a very efficient job on improving my home. They came at 8am to start the job. The crews worked quickly and quietly as you can pounding in nails. They took a lunch break from 11 to 12. The job was finished by 3, they were finished, cleaned up and left. If you need a job done right, done on time, and at a fair price, look no further than Daugherty Construction. I highly recommend them.

I called them in August for an estimate for a re-roof. I was told it would probably take them until mid-October to get to the job if I chose their company for the work, due to the large number of rainy days we've had. This was typical of the other roofers I called. Next I compared the pricing to other companies. I called Daughterty back and hired them to do the work. Within a week I was sent a contract to examine, which I signed and sent back along with the 10% down payment check. I was called by the company in late October to schedule the work. Since I was about to have surgery on my ankle, the salesman was willing to accomodate my schedule. We scheduled the work for November 3, 2011. The crew was prompt, and very courteous. Around lunch time one of the workers saw I was on crutches, and walked my 2 dogs for me around the yard to relieve themselves. Roofing tearoff produces a lot of loose nails, but the crew cleaned up all debris exceptionally well, and did not damage my shrubs and flower beds. The salesman called later to ask if I was pleased with the service or if I had any problems. When I sent in the final payment Daugherty sent me receipt and warranties for work and shingle supplies.

Arrived promptly, thoroughly checked roof, gave written estimate and pamphlet describing product to be used.

They did a very nice job. They cleaned up very nicely. However, they left a crack in the driveway. The sales guy came out to fix it because it looked bad and was black. He came back to fix it and he used a wire brush on his hands and knees to scrub it and made it look better. He couldn't be any nicer! He did it with a smile. He was pleasant. The black is all gone! They are a great company!

All work was completed in one day, on time and as scheduled. The workers were professional and courteous, the cleanup was excellent. Another roofing co. working in my neighborhood took almost a week to complete the work that Daugherty completed in one day. I'm pleased with the end result although the price was higher than I expected.

If I had to choose one word for the work completed, it would be "Incredible." The company representative, Jason Carroll, responded quickly to my request for a job inspection and written estimate. He answered all of my questions and addressed any concerns. Later, I was able to fully appreciate Jason's candor...no untruths or exaggerations. The price is a bit on the high end. However, I chose Daugherty Construction, because their employees are paid to have a career versus a job (i.e. 401K, healthcare, etc.). I believe this gives workers a great incentive to perform quality work, not to mention roofers face many potential job hazards on a daily basis. All things considered, I felt it was worth the project's higher cost. And, I think I was proven correct by the high degree of professional, conscientious, and enthusiastic work performance I observed. No detail was overlooked... from covering the house and landscaping to adherence of occupational safety standards. This company cares about it's customers and workers, alike. The crew foreman, Rich, remains on site, and tirelessly oversees work progress and maintains quality control. A week after the reroofing, the "gutter guys" workmanship and attention to detail was equally impressive. One final note, they ensure the customer understands to expect a quick and timely response to any calls for repairs, if needed. Kudos to everyone at Daugherty Construction for jobs well done and many thanks for your efforts!

They did a good job of coming out. They were very professional. They were courteous and gave me a written estimate. Their price was higher than I wanted to spend. I didn’t use them.

Jason assessed the leak in my roof inside and outside up on the ladder. I thought the leak was due to chimney flashing. He thought the leak was due to failing mortar between bricks in the chimney. He did a test with the hose while I watched from inside. The water leaked in when run on the bricks, not on the flashing. Jason recommended I hire a mason to due a complete tuckpointing on the chimney. Jason cleared debris from my gutters while he was up there. What a great productive appointment! After several appointments with other roofers I finally have a definitive answer to my leaking problem.

They were very careful. I chose the high quality package. They did some good waterproofing. I have been happy with their work.

We have half a duplex; it is not a large home. I felt the quote was quite high, in my opinion, especially when compared to others nearby. (I even wondered if maybe they didn't wan the job and quoted it high on purpose, but that was just a passing thought and may not be true.) In the end I did not use their service. I will call them again for future quotes on work, however.

I called for an estimate and received a call back from the estimator the same day. A time was scheduled for him to come out and he arrived promptly, let us know he was there and began measuring the roof and gutters for the materials necessary so that the estimate would be accurate. There was no "eyeballing" of the roof - he went around and actually measured everything. While he was on the roof he actually cleaned out a blocked gutter downspout so that we wouldn't have water seeping into the walls. He was very clear on all charges including what additional charges applied for any wood that would need to be replaced. Once nice feature of this company is that they take digital pictures of all wood that is rotted/damaged and digital pictures of the repaired areas so that there can be no question of whether the additional charges were necessary or not. The company requests a 10% deposit when the contract is signed. It took about 4 weeks (due to the weather) before the crews could be scheduled, but once they were, they arrived promptly at 7:30 on the day scheduled (they tell you the arrival time up front) and immediately got to work. All landscaping is protected with tarps and plywood so that debris from the roof tear-off does not damage it. The crew moved statuary and pots before starting work and put it back at the end of the day (they wrap up about 4:30PM). The crew cleans up VERY carefully each day at the end of work so that there are no bits of shingle or roofing nails to damage cars going in and out. In general, putting a new roof on a house is a messy and somewhat noisy business so do not expect to be doing a lot of back and forth outside the house because you WILL have to duck under ladders and be concerned about falling debris. Understand this is not a criticism of the company - they are very good about clearing out of the way for you if you need to get outside for anything. The crew working on my house took a break for lunch 11:00-11:30 or so and another 2:00-2:30 so you might want to plan walking the dog or other outside activities for those periods. When the crew is on break they are so quiet you will not know they are there. The crew is courteous and I heard no obscenities the entire time they were working. It took 2 full days (7:30-4:30) to complete the roof on the house and detached garage. The gutters were installed about 2 weeks after the roof was done (again due to weather delays). The crew (different crews for roof and gutters) worked about 4 hours overall doing the garage one afternoon and the house the next. The only slight criticism of the roofing crew that I have is that they never really touched base with us when they came and went, they just appeared, did their work, and disappeared again.

Our architect recommended Daugherty construction. They worked very hard to design a system for the tapered insulation that would promote drainage from the roof (it has settled in such a way that water doesn't reach all of the drains any more). Their work was inspected by the manufacturer for compliance with their installation requirements, to secure the material warranty. They were prompt, finished the work quickly, and left our yard clean. We were very pleased and would work them again.

When I called for estimates, they were on time and very professional and courteous. When I signed the contract, they said they would call to perform the work at the first date that weather would allow. I got the call and we agreed on a date to start the work. On the designated date, they were there on time and in full number. I was in awe of the number of workers and trucks they had on the job. I was told the roof would be completed in one day and it was. I was also told that another crew would do the gutters and would be there in a day or two, and they were there and completed the gutters in a few hours or less. The roofers also reattached some siding that had fallen off of my house previously due to high winds. I was thankful for that. Everything was cleaned up. I didn't even have to be home for them to do the work (but I was). I was very pleased with the entire process --- from calling for someone to come out for an estimate to the finished product.

They were on time. They were tidy. They did a good job. They were accessible for questions. I was obviously satisfied. They were the most expensive of the estimates I got from three different companies but they did the most satisfactory work.

I've dealt with this company for the last twenty years. I've always been satisfied with their work and their prices are reasonable. They do excellent work and always clean up after themselves. Another company I received a quote from told me it would cost double what Daugherty did the work for.

They installed a whole new roof on a building I own. They are excellent and I would recommend them.

They were polite, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. They even came back out to fix an issue and I couldn't have asked for better service.

It was outstanding. They were punctual, neat, quiet, and they had great respect for our neighbors. They also finished when they said they would. The job is excellent.
