Description of Work: They renailed some shingles that had slipped on my roof. I wanted to be there when they arrived. However their appointment was on a Monday and they |showed up and did the repair earlier on a Friday when it was raining. Had other things that I wanted to ask them about but never got an opportunity. |Thought price was a bit high even with the Angies list discount.

Description of Work: Daugherty Construction did some roof repairs that I needed done - including replacing some roof shingles, replacing the chimney flashing, and replacing the vent pipe collar. I also had them clean my gutters and re-connect a downspout. I was very pleased with Daugherty Construction and plan to have them install new downspouts and new gutters with leaf covers on my house this year.

Description of Work: Had a water leak in my hallway ceiling during the winter, only to find out from one of Daugherty's service people it was from my chimney. They covered it with plastic until warm weather. They had to grind out all mortar joints on 2 chimneys & install mortar with acrylic hardener. Seal both with masonry sealer. Haul away all job related debris & clean up job site. Very professional. Worked out fine. No more leaks. Back in 1996 they also put a new roof on my house and did a great job.

Description of Work: Jason from Daugherty Construction came to my house to establish the work to be done and also the price. I had several leeks to my plaster and was in need of a new roof. I also had a large area of wood around a bay window that had rotted through due to mosture . There were two large areas of copper that had become deteriorated. I also need a new man door in my garage. This company has experts in so many areas that they were able to take care of all of these problems. I chose the top grade of roofing (the Landmark TL) and it is beautiful. I had researched what to look for in new roofing and Daugherty Construction met them all. Because there reputation is impeccable, they are in great demand and I had to wait a couple of months for the work to be done although I first contacted them in March, 2012. I am so pleased with the work that they performed, the wonderful group of workers that were here, Rich, the supervisor of the roofing and the carpentry that was performed. I highly recommend this company to everyone who desires a meticulous, high quality workforce. Many of the workers said how proud they were to work for this company because they did everything right. I had other estimates for roofing and they were right in line. My house is large (3875 sq. ft.) and had several very deep pitches.I paid additional charges for the copper and rather complex carpentry around the bay window.

Description of Work: My home is exactly 1 mile from the Daugherty office. I've lived in this neighborhood 27 years and have driven by their office and construction signs daily. I phoned office to get an appointment for a quote on a entrance repair and roof repair. My first call was taken by a gal in the office who said someone would call me back in a few hours. I phoned again in the afternoon and got a different gal who I had to go through the same half dozen questions and was told someone would call me back. No return call. The next day I phoned and they said they needed a carpenter to look at the job as the general quoter person was unable to give an estimate. Based on lack of response from the company I sought out other sources to complete the work which totaled approximately $8k. My final comment on Daugherty is that I had to pick something up at the local Home Depot and a Daugherty truck pulled in next to me. which was ironic timing. The person moved at a snails pace and the thought I had as I watched the person enter the store and roam the isles of the store --Thank Goodness they did not follow through with getting a quote to me. An old friend told me many years ago - watch what they do and NOT what they say.
