Waibel Electric

The light above the kitchen sink hasn't been working for a number of years. I tried a new fixture, new bulbs and a new switch. Nothing that I was able to do worked. Steve came in, he listened to what I had tried and he checked the amount of power coming through the wires. He found that the neutral was not strong enough and ran a wire to correct the problem. He was in and out within 1/2 hour. I was so pleased that I have my light above my sink working again. This is the second time that I have used Waibel Electric for different situations and whenever I have any other electrical problems or concerns, I will be calling Waibel again! I highly recommend them to anyone with electrical concerns. Thank you Waibel Electric!

The 3" riser pipe feeding power to the house settled and detached from the electrical panel attached to the house. This exposed about 3" of 3 wires coming out of the ground. Waibel gave me a best- to worst-case estimate over the phone since it would depend on what the wires looked like inside the panel. I had to call AEP to make an appointment for them to shut off the power to my house and another appointment 2 hours later to connect it back. This cost was added to my AEP bill ($153). This cost was not included in the above cost charged by Waibel. AEP arrived about 10 minutes before 9:00 appt. Waibel technician was about 15 minutes late. That's why I rated B on punctuality. Perhaps it was due to him coming from east side to west side during rush hour. Tech. was very nice and professional. No damage was done in the repair and the panel did not have to be moved, which could have been an aesthetic problem. The cost of the repair was as much as $400 lower than the highest estimate I got.

Professionalism all around--office manager helpful, courteous, pleasant. Electrician, Steve, was running a little late (I was the first job of the day and he traveled from the other side of Columbus, running into traffic nightmares) and called me from his cell phone twice to keep me updated about his estimated arrival time. He reported that he'd not worked with an alarm system before (I called them because the alarm company was going to charge nearly twice as much per half-hour increment as a general electrician), but the work got done without a hitch and I was able to have two small jobs done for significantly less than the estimate given by the security company to simply reattach the wires. I will definitely call them again when the need for electrical work arises.

It went very well. Our service professional fixed the problem in a little over an hour.

I called to have someone come out and give me an estimate on a small job. The person who answered the phone was very friendly and professional. After explaining what I needed to have done, she told me that because it was an electric revision situation, they couldn't give me an estimate because they didn't know what they were going to run into until they actually got started. I couldn't decide whether or not to have someone out to do the job so she suggested that their service manager could call me Monday which would give me a little time to think it over. He did call, was very nice and said he had a man in my area today if I wanted to go ahead with the work. I told him I'd go look closer at the job and call him back which I did. I decided to do it myself. Both people I talked to were very helpful and not the slightest bit pushy.

Steve was very through and kept me updated the entire time. While it took a while to locate the faulty outlet, but he kept at it until located and fixed. Would highly recommend - although not an "emergency" - I called in the morning and they were there that same afternoon.

They gave us an estimate that we thought was kind of high, but we with with them anyway, because they had a good rating on Angie's List. After the job was done, they called us and let us know that the estimate was wrong and they gave us a refund. We liked that they were honest with us in the payment, because they refunded over a third of the bill. They also showed up on time and did the job that they said they were going to do.

Steve, the electrician was great. He did an excellent job and was very pleasant. He cleaned up when the job was completed. And the job was completed in good time. I would use Waibel Electric again.

Working with Waibel Electric was a pleasure. I spoke to 4 different people in the process all with the last name of Waibel, so this is a very nice family business. I had several projects for them and they did everything on time and on budget. They were friendly, courteous, and clean, and they were always very professional. I am so happy with their work and the way they treated me.

We had work done them 10 year ago and it was great so we went back to them for this.

Excellent service. Called this morning at 8:15 and they had someone here by 10:30. An hour later everything was back to normal.

have used Waibel Electric since 1989... will continue to use them. I don't have to worry about a thing,,,just call and schedule a time for them to come to the house. Work is always done promptly and professionally.

Person was knowlegdable but price was higher than other quote. They suggested adding a 2nd subpanel, which would have been an additional $1,500.

They provided a thorough explanation of what they would do and how much it would cost..

The electrician arrived on time, promptly identified the problem with the light fixture in the guest bedroom and fixed it. The connection kept failing when the light switch was turned on, so the electrician had to remove and replace the light fixture's ceiling cover several times before it was adjusted properly. The exhaust fan problem was fixed promptly when the electrician identified the problem with the light switch connections not being properly secured.

I am very pleased with the service. I called the service line around 9am and was greeted by a very pleasant dispatcher who took all of my information and informed me of the pricing structure ($78 for the service call which includes the first half hour and then a labor cost of $68 for each hour thereafter, billed in 15 minute increments). I thought the pricing was very fair and straight forward. She told me to expect a call soon to set up an appointment. Within a half hour I got a call to schedule the appointment. They had a technician in the area that would be able to make it within a couple hours. I am having exterior siding replaced this week and was very happy that someone was able to make it so fast. The technician was able to remove the exterior conduits and wiring, as well as remove wiring from a lighting fixture that had been removed previously. The work took around 1 hour and 15 minutes, and the bill total was $122.55. Overall I am extremely happy with the service that Waibel Electric has provided. I will definitely call them in the future and recommend them to friends and family.

We saved money and we were very happy. Even though it didn't’t result in business for his company, he gave us a very good alternative.

He walked me through the steps to go past the breaker trip problem and explained about the new white button breaker system that was on that line , after it was determined which line went out. Problem solved, no service appointment needed and no charge for the time spent with me on the phone!

I really appreciated the time they spent with me for just an estimate. The representative was very nice and kind during the entire experience. He gave me a card so that I could contact them when I am ready for their services. As I stated above, I will be using them when I am able to replace the heater. I am retired and on a fixed income and the gentleman understood my situation.

Good experience overall. We've hired them numerous times over the years, both for personal and business as a Realtor. Only concern is we never get the same person twice. We bought a light and had them run wire to linen closet, as well as mount the light. Extremely happy with outcome and person they sent. Only minor disappointment is lack of offering to where shoe covers inside, and he seemed to bang his stuff on walls coming and going. But, we seem to run into this with most contractors. Very happy nonetheless. It didn't turn out to be as simple as hoped, and the tech spent a lot of time finding a proper way to connect to existing electric, including having to get into our attic.

t was He was prompt. He was professional. He answered several of my 'dumb' questions, without sneering or indicating he was being put upon. Also, my cost was about $50 less than the original estimate. I called another Angie's list Approved electrical and their estimate was more than twice what I paid for the actual work. I just had plumbing work done by another Angie's List approved service. I am going to rate them as soon as I finish this rating but I want to compare services and pricing with this company.. The job was to stop a leak of my shower faucet. First of all, he never showed up for the previous day's appointment. Secondly, the repairman looked at the faucet and came back from his truck with a plastic piece about the size of my thumb. He took out the screw holding the inside of the faucet in, took out the old plastic piece, reinserted the new one and put the screw back. For this he charged me $142. This was actually a 50% discount from their "Straight Forward Pricing" because he missed the previous day's appointment. All in all, he was in my front door, fixed the leak and drove off in his truck after payment in 15 minutes. So, admitedly with my limited experience with Angie's List Approved services as these are the only 2 I have used, it still is a hit or miss when you need to get work done. BTW, I called the main number of the company where I got plumbing services and explained I did not understand why I was charged so much. The woman who answered said she would look into it and give me a call back. It was not her who called but the actual serviceman who did the work. I told him I was not pleased with the pricing. He told me that he charged for the work done. I still do not understand why I was charged as I was. This is why I will give them less than a glowing rating for their services.

They two electricians arrived on time. They worked hard and it took several hours to complete the electrical connection of the hot tub and outlet. They were very thorough and did a great job. Everything works well and they cleaned up when they were finished. I would hire Weibel again.

I sent an email via Angie's list contact page. Was contacted by Sherry Waibel (I think) at first. Mark was out and unable to respond at first - no big deal. Mark called later on and we discussed my needs. We made an appointment and Mark came out to check out what I needed and get information for the estimate. Mark was very friendly and knowledgeable. He listened to my needs and took notes and sent a written estimate for all of it. I ended up separating the two jobs I needed done. Mark provided separate estimates and I went with just the bathroom work for now. The estimate was for $700. I asked for the GFI outlet, exhaust fan, and the light moved up and centered over the vanity. We scheduled an appointment for 11/12. Mark called a little while before the scheduled time and said they would not be able to make it out. That was no problem and we rescheduled for the following Monday 11/19. The electrician arrived a little earlier than scheduled. We did a quick rundown of the tasks at hand (GFI, fan, and move the light up and center over the vanity) and he began working right away. I did have to run to the local (blue, not orange) big box home improvement store to get vent hose for the exhaust fan. I didn't realize they wouldn't have that with them... no big deal. Once the job was complete, I assisted with the cleanup (the bath mat suffered a lot of drywall dust from cutting out the ceiling. I 'blessed' the work after a quick inspection, called the office to settle up the bill, and it was done. It wasn't until a couple days after that I noticed some things about the work - namely: - The fan itself isn't exactly square with the walls. This isn't a big deal as it is barely noticeable - The light is centered over the location of the old light, but it isn't centered over the new vanity (like I wanted). It's only a difference of an inch, which is probably only a big deal to me. - The replacement light switch isn't level. - The new GFI outlet isn't mounted evenly with the switch box. Overall, I really wish I had drew lines on the wall to map out the fixture locations prior to the installation day... but I guess I'm too picky. I figured things like square, level, centered, and even kinda go without saying in any sort of skilled trade. Bottom line, taken individually, each thing isn't too awful, but they are noticeable even for a novice like myself. Taken together, the overall job was just kinda so-so and the end result for me will mean re-work... moving the light to the left, moving the GFI outlet up, and leveling the new switch box. In Waibels defense, I have not complained to them directly, so they are not aware of the issues - although I did mention the light not being centered to the electrician who did the work. I didn't demand the he move it - I just told him it was off and asked about how to move it myself... too subtle I suppose - but he did knock $80 off the bill... final cost was $620.... not too bad for work that I have to tidy up a bit.

The electrician was professional and courteous. He installed the fixture in a tinmely manner. Just thought that $149.00 seemed a little expensive, but there was assembly of thefixture that was required. Over all pleased.

Flawlessly. Problem was a burnt aluminum neutral wire inside the breaker box.
