Tony and I made an appointment almost immediately after my message through this site. He arrived on time. He was exceptionally kind, professional, and honest. I knew from the moment we met that he would do me right. We made a plan, and he and his crew came out and did the job the following week. Tony and his two crew members removed a dangerous, enormous tree on my property. I t was a tough situation. They took great care in removing it and the debris left over from the tree. Tony identified the "junk" trees on my property, mainly messy mulberry trees which in my past homeowners experience are a fast growing nuisance; and also applied a formula which would prevent those trees from growing back. We also worked to enhance my view of the pretty areas outside of my home. After the major issues were cleared and removed quickly and neatly, Tony identified shrubs (lilacs and others) that I did not realize were there. So, he neatened them up and trimmed some of them where needed. After all of the work was compiete, his crew did a fantastic job of cleaning up my property of any all messes. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. A++++ They will be coming back in the Fall to see if any more work needs to be done once the trees and shrubs green-up, and also a fall clean up for me. Overall, phenomenal service in every area. Hire them!!!

They were good. I didn't meet them actually. I made arrangements for them to come out and they did and I wasn't here at the time. They removed the tree and left the bill in the mailbox and I sent them a check.

Tony and his workers were fabulous! Tony immediately responded to my call, and came out and gave me an estimate on the work. They showed up when he said he would, and took three trees down, 2 of which had already fallen over, and a huge cottonwood. They did no damage to my yard, despite the fact they had to bring in a cherry picker to get the cottonwood cut down and removed. The cottonwood stump was grinded. They put down sheets of plywood, for the machines to travel over. Yard was left clean as can be.

Tony called before they came. He was very professional. He had come out earlier to give us an estimate and discussed what needed to be covered. He got right to work. He was very conscious of the safety measures needed to keep accidents from happening. The tree came down without any mishaps. They ground the stump and trimmed back the other trees we had agreed on. We were very satisfied with his work.

It went fantastic. They were fantastic all around.

Tony is great. The men working with him were very nice. They did an excellent job. Also on time.

He came out before the service and walked around to get a estimate and idea of the tree work to be done. The normal cost was 3,000 and said if I paid cash I would get a discount and not have to pay taxes. Then when he came he took down a Bradford Pear and ground up the stump and left the shavings which the contract said. He trimmed several other trees and did not trim them very well. He said to me that you don't want to have one tree to touch another tree, even though he left a ton of trees touching. He was very sarcastic with me when he was out trimming the trees and I had him adjust. I have a big tree in the front that I needed trim and one side looks nice and rounded and the other side has branches about 4-8 ft up that are sticking out everywhere and don't look good at all. He trimmed a tree over the deck that umbrella-ed over the deck. He trimmed a big branch off the tree that went over the deck, I wanted that branch left there because it created the heat from coming in the house. It is noticeably hotter in the house now. I have a sun allergy and can't get too much sunlight. It took all the shading away from the backyard and the shade to take care of my other flowers. Now I can't be in the back yard without being fully covered with a hat. I even told him about my allergy when he came out for an estimate. He trimmed the branches too much on one of the front trees and now my flowers don't have enough shade and they need shade to live. I called him very upset about the trees because they did not look very good and he did not trim them like I had asked him to. He said the job was done and there was nothing he could do about it. My friend had to talk to him for me because I was so upset and he said that he would not talk to her, he had to talk to me even though I was standing right there next to her. I finally got on the phone and said hello a couple times and no one was on the other end. He finally called back and said that I could get any tree trimmer back and they will say I did a good job. Maybe he did do a good job on parts but not other parts, he did too little or too much. I take very good care of my yard and he even commented how nice it looked during the estimate. When he initially came out I thought he was very knowledgeable and friendly. This tree work has me very upset and I have cried over it and he knows and does not care. He has been very sarcastic to me. I would like the trees fixed and trimmed properly and a tree that has a branch that caused shading. I feel I paid a lot of money for what I got. He did not trim every tree.

They cleaned up all the branches and were very polite. They did a very good job. I didn't get other quotes to compare the price to.

Tony and his crew did great work. They were on time and did all of their work in a professional and quality manner. Tony is a very nice guy and I wouldn't hesitate to use him and his crew again.

Amazing! I'm having a fence installed soon. But that couldn't happen until the property line was cleared. I never got the opportunity to meet Tony due to my work schedule. But I didn't need to. Tony was amazingly prompt with his quote. He clearly paid close attention to our conversation on the telephone because when I got home from work, he had tagged everything I wanted removed and left everything else as it should be. The first day the weather cleared, he came in with his crew and went to work. They removed all the trees and shrubbery lining the entire property line. They also removed a tree planted too close to the house. All of these trees were surrounded by a lot of wires. This was not an easy job. Not only did they remove the trees, but they chopped up the trunks and left them neatly stacked for my future fire pit. I asked if I could keep the trunks. They didn't have to cut it and stack it for me. That was so nice. All the other stuff was hauled away. There isn't a stray twin in my yard! Seriously! And to top it all off, the fencing company installed a temporary pen in the back yard so that I can let my dogs out until the fence is up. The rough winter has made the pen start to sag and I had it propped up with some brick I found in the yard. But Tony and clearly noticed it was not working out and re-staked the pen into the ground so that it isn't sagging anymore. Unique Tree Service went above and beyond on this job. I never had to worry about a thing. I was never kept waiting or wondering what was going to happen. Tony was always polite and informative. I didn't budget this into my house purchase. So I was stressing about this unplanned expenditure. But the minute I walked home today, I can see it was worth every single penny. I don't have any regrets about this at all.

Provider was extremely prompt in getting back to me and in scheduling service. They were able to easily take the tree down and they cleaned up after themselves nicely. Very impressed.

They are really good. They are very resonable. They showed up quickly and they cleaned-up after they were done. They even did some extra work.

Mr. George came out to give advice on whether to save our blue spruce tree or remove it. He determined the tree was sturdy and that it was worth saving. Three days later, he and his crew came out, trimmed the tree and cabled it. They were quick and professional. The tree is an important part of our front landscaping and the trimming was very natural-looking. We were very happy with the end results.The crew cleaned up everything. Mr. George is very friendly and personable and very knowledgeable. He supervised the work being done and made sure we were pleased with the results. We felt confident in our choice to use Unique Trees and will be using them again.

I called the day after a storm took my neighbors tree down. His very tall tree landed in my back yard. Quickly I recieved a return call and Tony was in the area so he came by to take a look. The total job was removal of the fallen tree (branches, tree and remains); 2 huge tree stumps left from last years storm (Sandy) and prune two trees in our front yard. He said that they would not be able to get to us until Oct. but I was fine with that. On Oct. 3rd they called to say that they would be out the next day - they were there on Friday and did a great job. Everything was cleaned up from the fallen tree, the stumps are gone and 2 front trees trimmed. Very pleased with the job.

This is the 3rd or 4th time I have had Unique Tree Service perform work on my property. I live on the top of a heavily wooded hill and the trees and bushes are critical to the stability and erosion prevention. Years ago the owner of Unique Tree Service, Tony, advised on multiple plantings which have done well. His team has also provided skillful pruning to ensure the health of the trees. It is a balance to provide sun while keeping the trees. Tony helped bring a near-dead Dogwood back to life which I appreciate each Spring. I have recommended Unique Tree Service to my friends and family.

They were here for 3 days. They were careful not to destroy things that needed to stay. Soil (snd seed ) were put down in areas that had deep indentations in the tree lawn made by the trucks that were used. The trucks were parked in an area behind the cultivated yard (the back 40, as we call it). The purpose of such a large job was to remove only ash trees.

I called Tony and he called me back the very same day at a given time. He came out the next day to give me an estimate, which I had already previously gotten estimates, and he was very much in line with the others I had gotten. I signed the agreement, he told me he would be out on a specific day at a certain time, and was here on that day and early. They put down the plywood to protect my grass, covered my bushes that were below the tree and proceeded to trim the tree. When they were done cutting, they raked all the small branches, cleaned off the roof of any branches, and left everything as though they had never been here. Upon meeting him, he informed me he would do a good job but that he was not cheap, however, I found that his price was very much in line with others I had gotten. In fact, the guy that initially was supposed to trim this tree was about $150 more than him and he was extremely unprofessional. I've put in a review about him too. That would be Terry Hupp for anyone who cares to see what he's all about. My neighbor is an arborist for the Metro Parks and upon talking to him to check what kind of job he did, since he would be a much better source than me, he informed me that he had watched him work and was impressed by the fact that he only could go up so far in the bucket and then got out and climbed the tree to get the top branches. That is something he said most tree people will not do since they figure no one would know the difference. So in terms of the actual trimming, he did a good job. However, he did leave a lot of scuff marks on the limbs that are caused by the chain saw getting away from him that could have been avoided by using a smaller saw. He also did not make some cuts correctly, that my neighbor said could have been and should have been done better, but that they would not necessarily hurt anything. Neither of these things will hurt the tree due to it being a very healthy tree but could have been and should have been avoided had he taken extra time and used a smaller saw for some of the cuts. Overall, he did an okay job and certainly did not "botch" the job but it could have been better. I'm very picky so I always want the very best job and might not use him again, but if you're looking for a reliable person that does a good job, or you just need at tree cut down, I would definitely recommend him. I have updated this review from my initial submission due to the fact that I had not previously gotten this additional information on the kind of job he did and wanted to set the record straight.

The next day I got another estimate also from an Angie's List provider for $900.00 for the same job. Did not use. Called and came promptly for estimate.

I e-mailed my request of the work we wanted done. The same day, Tony got back with me and set up a time within the next couple of days to come out and give me an estimate. We met and I agreed to his estimate. He asked about underground lines and said he would have someone come out before the work started to mark where the gas and water lines were located. He called me the following Monday to say they would be out the next day to do the work. They arrived exactly at the time he told me they would be there and began working until the job was completed, all in one day. I had complete confidence in Tony and his company that the job would be done RIGHT.

Did a wonderful job in very little time. Asked if I was satisfied. I am more than satisfied with their work.

Very well. Had large windows in room overlooking it all and they even leveled the piece of debris from the grinding from the tree stump & roots.

In 2012, came after storm Sandy and removed 2 large spruce (35 feet) and dogwood trees that had fallen onto the house at $250. Fit us into his tight schedule since one tree had fallen on to the house. Very good work at a fair price, he follows through and does what he says he will do!
