It took a while for an appointment due to demand from the special they ran on Angie's List. Despite 3 story house and a very steep roof, the service was performed quickly. He gave advice on sealing stone masonry when I asked, and he pointed out faulty roof repair I could not have seen likely saving us thousands in water damage. Thanks!

Very nice and professional people. I had raccoons in the attic and hired a trapper. They put a cage on the roof and a raccoon was trapped. It was cold and drizzly and the two men from QPS covered the cage with a tarp to protect the raccoon from suffering. I was very touched and impressed with their compassion for this poor animal. They did excellent work and my neighbor remarked that the new chimneys looked better than the originals. I was very satisfied with every aspect of this job and would highly recommend this company, I would not hesitate to use them again if needed.

Great. We burn a lot of wood and needed a thorough cleaning. It was done well and you couldn't beat the price.

The first part of it was okay but I have called and left a message to have him back to do the rest of the work. It has been like two weeks. It was probably sometime late September early November. I was just charged the $99. He didn't really do any work so he didn't address the other chimney. The one chimney was already clean enough I thought. So we haven't got a lot done at this point. I hate to give them a grade since they haven't finished. What he did was wonderful while he was there but it's the follow up were not connecting so I get the house sold chimney hood done before we sold the house. He was very thorough. His explanations were very clear. He checked everything and then some, you know, and he was like he could do this because we had not approved the work on top of the crowns so he was going to come back later if my husband wanted it done. He said while I'm here I can do that and you have more time and more money on your clock so he did everything he could. I would definitely rate him really well for what he had done. He was efficient. It was just one technician they sent. I think for the package deal and everything he did was very good.

We chose to have the minor repairs done, which cost $230 over and above the masonry credit that came with our service package. We elected not to do the major repairs or replace our stove insert, and just do not use it instead. This is a new house to us, and I wanted to ensure the chimneys were in good shape before lighting a fire in the fireplace or stove.

It worked out really well. I liked it. He was very nice, courteous and knew the whole deal about what I needed done. He was very nice and he got the work done. It is going to work out fine. The only thing I thought was hard is that I had a hard time getting hold of anybody there. When Angie's List did the deal, they didn't have anybody include their phone number and so I had to email. She didn't know me but I would call her back. She had a little trouble like I would call later in the day and apparently, she's not there later in the day. I would leave messages. She did allow me to schedule the appointment. The only draw back was she never returned my calls. I just always had to call her later in the day not in the morning which most people would do. Somebody cancelled and they worked me in and so, it was great. He inspected it and did a wonderful job. He showed me pictures and climbed on the roof. He was very responsive after I made the appointment and was very nice in person but in terms of her calling back to me, I would give them a C. He was a little late.

Update for 11/21/2015 Service: After communicating with Ethyl and her eagerness to make the situation right, I scheduled QPS back to replace the chimney flue. While the guys were about an hour late, they did call to let me know and they did have quite a long drive. Glenn and his buddy really worked their butts off from the time they got here until the time they left which was well after 6PM on a Saturday--even as it started to rain in the last hour or so. They also really worked well together and had a great rhythm each knowing what needed done. I am updating my earlier score based on the greater of this experience the guys doing the work and Ethyl's willingness to make things right. Now if it would just get cold enough so that I could test it out. July Inspection Initially all went well. Scheduled a time with Ethyl for Rob to come out inspect and clean the chimney. Rob was running late and gave me a call which I appreciated and did show up at the rescheduled time the same day. The "cleaning" and inspection was quick, because Rob had found significant damage to the crown and indicated I had had a chimney fire last season, showed me pictures of the weather damage to the crown and also damage to the flue and the indications of the flue fire. With that, Rob wrote up an estimate for each body of work, one at $2400 for the crown work and one for the approximately $3200 for the flue work and suggested I contact my insurance agent regarding the flue damage to see if I can claim it on my homeowners, which I did the same day. On Monday August 11, the insurance adjustor contacted me and asked for the quote and pictures. I requested copy of the estimate and pictures and immediately Ethyl forwarded a copy of the estimate because I was at work and didn't have it with me. She mentioned that Rob had a new phohad to learn to retrieve the pictures if I could give him a few days. Since then, I've made at least 3 additional requests in the two weeks since the inspection and still no photos, in fact no reply until yesterday when Ethyl responded to a voicemail by email apologizing for the delay. I was planning on using them for the work without question, based on my initial experience, but if it is this difficult to get me 2 or three pictures after waiting 2 weeks, I wonder I have to question the quality and timeliness of the work and will definitely be looking at others. If the pictures are received, I will amend this review accordingly.

The serviceman, sorry I cannot remember his name called saying he would be about to minutes late. Arrived on time and completed the work in an hour. Left everything clean and neat, and explained what we needed very well. I would call them again.

Great Service. Rob came out on time as scheduled previously. He looked at my fireplace, went over what he was going to do and asked if I had any questions. Laid out a drop cloth and cleaned the chimney from the roof, then scoped and vacuumed the inside fire box. In total it took about an hour, and Rob thoroughly reviewed a few issues that he saw and provided a quote for follow on masonry work. Would definitely use again.

The owner, Rob, came to my home and was very professional and helpful. He evaluated my chimney and sat down with me and explained what needed to be done now and what maintenance would be needed in the future. My home is over 100 years old and will need more work down the road, but he was not pushy and took time to explain things very well. I would definitely recommend this company for chimney needs.

2 men came out exactly at 10:00 a.m.(as was promised) and left at 4:30 p.m. They were polite. They were neat and cleaned up after themselves. When they were working in the house and grinding out the mortar they put up a plastic tarp to maintain the dust and also had a vacuum cleaner going all the while so they could catch any debris they might have created. They only took 1/2 hr. for lunch and informed me when they were leaving. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

Chimney was falling apart, another contractor recommended them to fix my chimney. Called for estimate was less than expected. He was out two days later with his crew, they did a fantastic job fixing everything and exceeded my expectations.

The work was excellent and they were very easy to work and deal with. I feel like they did a great job and recommend them highly.
