They explained what they had to do and why and let me know how long it would take and approximate price. Everything was done well, within the timeframe promised and handled in a very professional manner. The rep's were polite and knowledgeable.

Overall, we got enough info to get a head start on building new files in the new hard drive. But we're typing this on a previous laptop the other laptop was supposed to replace, since it worked during the down time and now has the programs installed that we need to use. Bottom line, we need to take the sick hard drive to a more sophisticated provider, to have 0-1 data extracted and saved. PC MD couldn't provide that service but offered a service on the other side of Cleveland. We have another resource but appreciated the suggestion. Overall, this company knows a lot about fixing and even saving your data. They can address virus challenges as well as hardware failures. They just didn't have the expensive software to pull off data we still need from the BSOD hard drive.

Our computer was acting up and would not go on line. We took the computer to their store and PC MD did a diagnostic (for free) to see what was wrong. They then called us with a tune up estimate. The computer was ready in 2 days. The person at the shop plugged the computer in and showed us that everything worked before we took the computer home. The people at the shop were very friendly and nice. Overall, a very positive experience and the price was very reasonable. I would definitely use them again.

I assumed my video card was bad,was told it was the mother board(computer was home made 11 years ago) they charged me nothing to inspect, and I asked for and was given my hard drive to use as a separate external hard drive.

Their rates are very reasonable and they do a good job.

My computer stopped working 2 weeks ago. Out of the blue, the monitor went black and could nto get out of power save mode. I called to various computer service stores and was disappointed in the extraordinary costs and quite frankly frightening estimates I was given over the phone to even have my computer diagnosed. Eventually, I joined Angies List and got a few numbers for computer repair. PC MD was the third store I called. When I called and Mark Eggers answered the phone. He is onsite and performs much of the work. He asked what problem I was having and I explained that I could not get the monitor to function that it appeared to be in a self preservation shut down, only not that clearly because I am completely computer illiterate. He indicated it sounded like it might be a power source issue and that would run me about $67.00. I jumped on that since Geek Squad indicated it was $50 just to bring it in and them to look at the computer (not including service and parts) and Dell indicated it their service would start at $99.00. I brought the computer in on 10/19/10, staff was extremely friendly and helpful in setting up the service ticket and explaining approxiamate timeframes. The next day, I got a call from Mark by 1 PM telling me they resolved my computer issues and it was done ALREADY, not even 24 hours after dropping it off! He explained that I needed a new RAM stick which they replaced and increased my RAM so the computer would run faster and it would be a total of $55.00, for everything! When I picked up the computer they were busy and stated they usually hook up the computer before I leave to make sure its all running right. Both Mark and James were busy with customers and I was in a hurry and was told to call if I had any problems. I came home set it up and everything worked great except the keyboard. I called the store and spoke with staff who indicated that possibly the pins were bent from me dismantling and reassembling the computer. She walked me through a way to reboot the keyboard essentially and was extremely patient despite my clear and glaring ignorance of what she was directing me to do. I could not get the connection to work. James then got on the phone and stated that if I could not get it going by straightening the pins they would gladly give me a used keyboard. GLADLY GIVE me!!! Can you believe it?? I was totally blown away by my whole experience. It was superb!! The customer service at PC MD is beyond professional and friendly. It is remarkable. It was extraordinary and I could not be more pleased with the entire experience. I will absolutely return to PC MD for all my computer needs and I will definitely refer anyone I know who is having difficulties to PC MD as well. VERY VERY IMPRESSIVE!!!!

They were very timely and prompt with their repairs. They check the system very carefully before they make repairs. They are hands on and made sure I was able to understand the system. They made minor adjustments in my request. Price was reasonable.
