NORTH SHORE RESIDENTIAL DOOR

They were on time. The price was fair and what they quoted. They were good.

I researched the opener remote that needed to be repaced and realized I needed to replace it with exactly the same item. It was available on line but I would have to wait for it to be delivered or I could order it from a couple of local companies but they were much more expensive, plus the item was out of stock. I called NorthCoast Commercial Door Company (they also do residental doors) and they said they had them on hand. They have a large variety of items in stock. The price was great, and they would also ship for a reasonable cost. Because I needed it quickly, I chose to go and pick up the item. When I arrived the people were very polite, went into the stock area and pulled the items. They were helpful and friendly. The only reason I didn't give them all "A"s was about my inquiry about the garage door itself. Although the representative had an office onsite I believe this may be a separate contractor. This person was gone for the day, and never responded to the message from me. Overall my experience was positive; the company was very knowledgable and responsive on the phone, they gave me correct advice, their price on the remote control was very competitive, and they were friendly when I went to pick up the item. I actually bought two.

It went very well. They installed the door (with one guy!) on time and on budget, starting late morning and finishing by the end of the day. Based on the position of the support beam that is in the middle of the garage, the person who did the estimate (Matt) had told me that the opener would fit, but it would be close. It did fit with less than two inches to spare. The garage door works well and looks good. This is the third time I've used the company and have been pleased with each job they have done. They are easy to work with.

THEY ARE NOT VERY INTERESTED IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY'VE BEEN GONE EARLY ON A FRIDAY & WERE SUPPOSED TO CALL TODAY WITH THE TIME THEY WOULD COME TO REPAIR THE OPENER. NO ONE CALLED OR SHOWED UP BY 4. THEY APOLOGIZED BUT SAID THEY DON'T WORK PAST 4 OR IT GETS INTO OVERTIME, BUT THEY COULD RESCHEDULE FOR THE NEXT MORNING. SOMEONE STAYED HOME ALL DAY TODAY. THEY WOULD NOT MAKE A LATE AFTERNOON APPOINTMENT. I CALLED GENIE. YOU SHOULD, TOO. THEY GAVE ME SEVERAL THINGS TO TRY TO MAKE SURE I REALLY NEEDED TO PAY FOR A SERVICE CALL. MUCH BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
