Really well. On time, helped with installing the double oven, which is very heavy, and was fun to talk with. I would hire him again. Very experienced, knew his craft and did a great job!

Jim is an experienced electrician. We hired him to install an 220 line to our garage for the purpose of charging our new EV. Experienced in this type of job, Jim arrived with everything needed to complete the work (i.e. running the electrical line from the Box - which need a bit of modification - through the basement ceiling to the garage, and installing the 220 receptacle in the garage.) Only slight hitch was the the actual 220 outlet which was mounted in such a way that I could not mount the actual vehicle charger in the best location on the garage wall. Everything worked fine, I just have to come up with a fixture to permanently mount the charger. Jim did all the work within a 2 hour window. I think the cost was a bit on the pricey side (though Jim said that his price would be among the cheapest around. I'm not so sure of that). Bottom line however, I chose Jim because he impressed me that he was fully capable of doing a quality job, which he did. So I am a satisfied customer.

it was odd, the problem seemed to have corrected itself while James was here...

He came out said he’d call me that night with estimate . Talked to him about a week later when i called him . He gave me estimate for what i assumed was new fixtures . I agreed to estimate . He came out i went to garage to check on how job was going . He said he was almost done . The only new things he put up were the long lights . There were no new boxes … nothing else new !! He had not even brought any new fixtures ! He said he just wired things differently so old boxes would work ? He was only here for about one hour and 15 minutes to replace six old fixtures which he did not do !!! I ask him when I was done what did I owe him . He ask what i quoted him and i told him and he said that’s what you owe me . He didn’t even know what he quoted me !!! I ask him if he was kidding about price . He said no why ? I said since the only new things he put up were bulbs and he was only here for 1.25 hours that it wouldn’t be that much . Each fixture had two long lights and he said he could not get one of them to work and asked me if i wanted him to come back to fix that . I asked what that would cost me . He said he’d have to work me up an estimate for that ! Excuse me but the first estimate was to fix all six of lights and sixth fixture was only half fixed ??? And he wanted more money to come back ????? I feel that being that I am 71 year old woman that he could take advantage of me and i feel that he did . He also saw that I had checkbook to pay him and said if you are paying by check I’m going to have to charge you tax which i thought was included . I said why is that ? He said because if you give me a check then he will have to claim it . But if i paid him cash he could pass the savings of $51. To me . Who’s to say he would even claim it with the tax ??? I did make him write out receipt for money since it was paid with cash . Very unprofessional ! I did pay him even though i am not happy about it because I am honest and I pay my bills ! Beware !

My job went very smoothly. The costs were upfront and materials were all new and as specified by my request. He even largely honored a year-old job estimate he had written & signed himself (see picture). The only reason for the higher final price was the parts upgrades from Square D Homeline to Square D QO components. Jim is a Master Electrician and an active duty military veteran: it showed in his knowledge of the job and his overall work ethic. He's a very punctual and honest guy. Great conversation as well! You won't be oversold or outright lied to about what you *really* need for your job. Would definitely hire Jim Manges again.

Jim is the only electrician who returned my call out of the three places I tried. He showed up on time, was courteous, and got right to business. He quickly identified the potential problem and gave me a quick quote. I agreed and he fixed the issue within 15 minutes. Super easy. Great guy. Will definitely go to him first with any electrical work in the future.

Jim was our electrician, kept us informed as to arrival, and was even early, rather than a few minutes late. Did great work and terrific clean up before he left, leaving me nothing to do. On a personal note, Jim is a veteran, and as a veteran myself it was great to see such attention to detail and work ethic that followed him from his service to this career.

There was good communication, Jim arrived on time and completed the work very timely. He did a good job of cleaning up afterwards, was spot on with the estimate and so far seems to have done an exemplary job of replacing our outdated panel box.

Jim was efficient and professional. When needed, Jim made adjustments in quote as he found ways to cut costs for items needed. He will be back for one more project in a couple of weeks. We are waiting for the parts to arrive via UPS or FedEx. We are very happy with Jim, and designated him our new Electrician for future projects.
