The entire process went very smoothly. I called Tom on Monday and we scheduled the installation for 8:30 Friday morning. He arrived exactly on time. Tom climbed into the attic, determined the location for the vent cap, and drilled a hole through the roof sheathing from inside the attic. Next he climbed onto the roof and used a saws-all to cut a hole through the roof for the vent pipe. He then pried up some shingles, inserted the vent cap flange underneath the shingles and made the required cuts to the surrounding shingles. Finally, he secured the roof cap with screws and sealed the edges to prevent any leakage. Tom's very nice and knows roofing. He was recommended to me by a roofing supply company from which I bought some materials for a different project. I was originally planning on installing the roof cap myself, but wasn't comfortable climbing on our steeply pitched roof. I highly recommend him.
Description of Work: Installation of a roof cap for a shower vent. The roof cap allows the shower vent fan to vent air outside through the roof. Previously the moist air was vented into the attic.
