Description of Work: I called the Screen Man (Todd)on 10/1/14 and spoke with him about what we needed done at our home. He came out on 10/3/14 and picked up/removed all of our screens (16 of them). He said he should have them done by 10/6/14 and that is exactly when he delivered them. He was very nice, thorough, cautious about what he was doing and very professional. I would highly recommend him to anyone and definitely use him in the future, should the need arise.

Description of Work: Installed new screen on screened porch. Was quoted $700 and when they were finished he gave me the bill for $752.50, saying he forgot to add tax on the quote. I can understand tax on the screen supply but didn't think there should be tax on their labor.

Description of Work: He replaced a screen on a door that my dog had damaged beyond repair. This gentleman always does superior work--he had previously replaced my screens on my back porch--including making new frames for the screens.

Description of Work: The sliding screen door on the porch was destroyed after a dog ran through it. Todd, returned the message I left on Angie's List within 48 hrs and was able to quote me the job over the phone. The work was completed within a few days. I couldn't remove the sliding screen door, so it was really a pleasure to have Todd come to remove it & fix it in his truck, and then reinstall it. Sure beats trying to remove it & take it to a hardware store.

Description of Work: The Screen Man completely re-screened our back screened-in porch, which had the original 1979 screens, and did it very professionally. He also found that some of the original baseboards on the porch were rotted, and a stair to the porch was also in bad shape, so he replaced all those timbers with good treated lumber, painted to match the rest,so it should all look and function well for many years. It really makes a huge difference in our porch area, and we enjoy it every day.

Description of Work: I contacted John online and he got back to me the next day. We set up a time for him to look at my screens the next evening after work. He arrived right on time. He is a very friendly and personable man. All of the screens in my house had holes caused by hail or were rotting due to age. Several frames were missing screens altogether. One window didn't have a screen or frame at all. John took his time going from room to room pricing each screen based on it's size. He also mentioned that he sometimes works with another gentleman to repair the actual windows, which would be cheaper than replacing them. For instance, one of my windows has a broken seal so it is full of condensation. A few others won't stay open. We agreed that I will probably have him back out at some point to address those issues. Because of his fair pricing and good references on Angie's List, I decided to do my whole house. That consisted of a front and two patio doors, 15 windows, plus the missing frame that he had to replace. He agreed to do the whole thing for $400.00. I agreed and he took the screens out and took them with him, except for one patio door screen. He thoughtfully didn't want to leave me unable to open any door or window to get fresh air. I hadn't thought of that but appreciated that he had. He said he could repair that one onsite when he brought the rest of the screens back. He did not ask for any money down. Shortly after he took the screens I decided to totally replace my 4 bedroom windows (meaning I no longer needed those 4 screens repairedl). I called him and, since he hadn't repaired the bedroom screens yet, he was able to deduct the cost of those from what we had agreed upon. My final total was $375.00 plus tax. John returned the screens a few weeks later and took his time intalling them. He is very courteous and I enjoyed talking to him while he worked. The quality of his work was wonderful. My patio screen door frames were old and somewhat bent and he spent considerable time trying to get them to glide smoothly (above and beyond the call of duty!). He takes great pride in the finished product. The absolutely only reason I'm giving John Bs for responsiveness and punctuality rather than As is to give you a heads up that, as is sometimes the case when dealing with a one man operation, he is not always prompt in returning telephone calls and the work may take a little bit longer than promised. I was in no hurry so that was fine with me. The quality and value were worth the wait so, as long as you're not on a tight deadline, John the Screen Man is your guy! :)

Description of Work: Before the actual work, on June 7, John came to our house and discussed the issue with our screen door. At that time, he also worked on the rollers on the door, and explained to me the problems / issues with the door. He told me the cost of a new door, and that he would call me with the cost of just new rollers and labor. He called with that information in a few days. I decided to have new rollers, so John came back to our house on June 7 to do the work. At that time, I also decided to have new screen material put on the door. John is very knowledgeable and professional. The screen door works fine now, probably better than it ever has.

Description of Work: Excellent customer experience! John initially gave me a quote to repair 3 screens and construct 1 screen. He also made me aware that he could fix 3 pesky windows that would not stay open without a stick for support. This quote was for around $225 which I felt was very reasonable for all of the work. Turns out that he was able to simply tighten the hardware within the windows rather then replacing so this saved me $90 from the initial quote (final price ended up at $145 which included tax). This type of honesty is hard to come by these days and it was great that he was up-front in making me aware that replacement of parts simply wasn't necessary. He even threw in a handle on the sliding screen door that he fixed at no cost to me. Without a doubt I will use him again and would recommend to anyone that has a need for these types of services
