Scott evaluated the issue, tightened the main spring, and lubricated all moving parts. The stop block was missing from the chain, so Scott engineered a suitable replacement. He also left some useful maintenance tips. All complete within 30 min. or so and the price was very reasonable.

They were able to come out same day which was great. The quote was slightly less than what they ended up charging but it works well.

They diagnosed the problem over the phone, and came out and fixed it immediately. He adjusted it, and now it works better than before. I'm pleased.

This is the second time I have used Scott for a garage door problem. He is very prompt, professional and easy to deal with. I will call him again in the future.

I called Shamrock at 7:00pm on a Monday thinking that I would leave a message on a machine for the next morning. To my surprise, Scotty the owner answered the phone and said he was in the area and would be out within 30 minutes. He came out, said he could fix the current door, but due to it's age and obvious other repairs he recommended a new door. We agreed and he said the soonest he could do the work would be on Wednesday. That was fine for us as we were able to access our cars. To my further surprise, Scotty called the next morning and said he spoke with his client scheduled for that morning and rearranged the appt, so that he could replace our door that day. (the other client is a regular of his and that job was for a vacant rental property.) Even though Scotty didn't have to rearrange his schedule and his client's for us (by the way we did not ask for that!), he did of his own accord and we are very impressed! The new door is great and quiet and the work was fast, clean and professional. We are very impressed with Shamrock Overhead Door and will most definitely use them again.

Garage door came out of tracks at 6:15 am and we were leaving town. I called Scott expecting to leave a message and he answered! I explained that we needed to be out of town for a couple of days but couldn't close the garage door. He said he would be out that day and fix it so that it would be closed before dark and I didn't need to worry about it while we were gone. He called me when he was finished and let me know that the door was closed! I believe this was the third time I have had Scott fix the door. The first time was for a broken spring and he was here the same day. Scott came the day I called, when other providers indicated they could not get to me for a day or two. He also came back out to readjust the spring, same day I called. I would recommend Scott for any garage door problems. He is always friendly and he will get to you that day!

We were not able to open the garage door first thing in the morning, while trying to get to work. We called Scott around 8:30 that morning, talked to him in person, and he came over right away to replace the springs. We completed the work before 11:00 am. We've used Scott before to tune-up our garage door opener, and then replace it a couple years later. He has always been helpful and responsive.

I was unable to open my garage in the morning to get my van out. I called Scott at 930 am and he was at my house in less than an hour. He had the new spring on and my garage door working in about 20 minutes.

If I could give A+ for each category, I would. I called Scott Thursday night at 7:30, told him we found out about him through our stepdaughter and pulled his company up on Angie's List. I left a detailed voice mail message that I thought my garage door opener (I gave him the make/model), which I thought was installed around 1990, had finally bit the dust. It closed the door OK, but made a horrific grinding noise when trying to open it. When I disconnected it from the door, the door seemed well balanced so the door wasn't the problem. He returned my call within a few minutes, and we talked for about 10 minutes. He said that since it was a holiday week he was pretty slammed with business that week but could at least come out some time the next day (Friday) to take a look. I told him that we had tickets to the Memorial golf tournament on Friday and wanted to leave around 9:00 ( Also, we live in Muirfield and traffic in our area is terrible during the tournament). He said that he could come early and would call beforehand. He called the next morning and was at our house at 8:15. He quickly determined that our opener was repairable, and said that the opener that we had was a good one He had the foresight to have parts on hand for our opener, fixed it in a manner of minutes, and even sprayed the springs to quiet them. He could have easily sold us a new opener (I assumed that ours was shot) but fixed it instead. When he said that it was $74 for the service call, and $35 for the part, I was almost embarrassed to ask him he had applied the Angies List $10 discount. No problem, he said. FInal cost $99 - Much less than the $300-$400 that I was expecting for a new opener installed!

He called immediately and came out the very next day. Assessed what was needed and replaced the broken parts. Had some used parts and used those which saved me about $100.00. Door works great and he also reset my car transmitter. All works great again. I would use him again in a heart beat again. Plus I will refer him to others. Very professional, prompt and was here when promised. This guy and his company rock.

I got to deal directly with Scott. He was very responsive and professional but also not super formal. He was relaxed and easy to talk to. I did not feel like he was trying to sell me a bunch of extra stuff that I did not necessary need right now.

Scott showed up quickly and fixed the problem very well. Old garage door required heavy duty type springs. Nice guy and would call him again.

I was looking for a quote for new garage doors with openers. When he arrived I explained We were preparing to put the house up for sale and we thought new doors would add to the value of the house. To be fair the garage was full of stuff we were clearing out of the house and I explained the items would be gone by the time we would need him to do the work. He seemed very uninterested and never even offered to give me a quote. It was obvious he had some where else he'd rather be at as he hopped in his truck and left. He was probably there a total of 5 minutes. He suggested I give him a call when we were farther along in the process. The other two companies were both on site for at least 20 minutes and both left me quotes and told me they'd be ready to start as soon as I was ready. So I've never actually used them. Didn't seem interested enough to leave a quote. Won't recommend someone I've never used, but I won't be contacting them anymore either.

Super fast service. It took about an hour from the time I called to when my garage door was fixed.

Garage door opener quite working late afternoon. Called Shamrock and quickly scheduled a visit the next morning. Scott Lininger showed up promptly and confirmed that the unit should be replaced This was an original 1986 unit. Discussed all options for a replacement unit. Scott did not pressure any particular option. Decided to go ahead with a low-end Lift Master unit. Scott scheduled a return for the same afternoon to replace the lift. Work was done quickly later that afternoon. Very efficient anf professional service.

Scott (the owner) is very responsive and punctual. It was a clean job that is also completed in a timely manner. He didn't try to sell the most expensive door. His comments and suggestions were logical and honest, hence we purchased from him.

Found Shamrock on Angie's List and called them to look at a troubled garage door. Scott accommodated my schedule by showing at my requested time the next day (Saturday) and was on time. He first looked at the door to see if I really needed his services and then told me what the problem was. He replaced some rollers, greased and tuned up the door and was done in a very short time. Reasonably priced and very courteous. I would highly recommend Shamrock.
