One of the overhead springs on our garage door snapped and needed replacement. On Tuesday, February 5 I checked on a number of listings on Angie's List and contacted a few of them and either had to leave messages or spoke to owner's about pricing for replacement and included labor. Two company owners that I spoke to told me that I could replace 1 spring but that I should probably replace both even though only one spring had snapped. Both company owners told me that replacing one spring including labor would cost anywhere from $200 to $225 and replacement of both springs would cost from $250 to $270. The owners that I spoke to all said they could come to our home the following day or two days later. I called my final company, Shamrock Overhead Door and immediately the owner, Scott Linninger answered. He was very polite and informed me that he was already in our area working on another garage door. This was 4 p.m. and Scott told me that when he had completed the job he was currently on, he would call me about possibly coming to our home. At 5p.m. (when most people call it a day and go home from their job) Scott called and said he would be glad to come over to repair our garage door spring. At 5:15p.m., Scott arrived and upon looking at our door problem he informed me that it would cost $165 to the broken spring. Within 40 minutes, our garage door spring was replaced and Scott also cleaned and calibrated our garage door workings. Scott opened and closed the garage door and it was smoother running and quieter than it has ever been since we moved in over 3 years ago! I was so pleased that I paid him a few bucks more than he charged us! Scott Linninger from Shamrock Overhead door was polite, professional and did incredible work. I would recommend him to everyone for garage door issues.

They did a very good job. The owner of the company actually was the person that met with me and discussed what I wanted. He was very prompt and I felt like he was very honest. He delivered what he said he was going to deliver. His installers did a really good job. The door is perfect. The price was reasonable.

Scott installed our door and spring setup 15 years ago. Called him again when one of the tortion springs broke. Set up a date and time and he arrived on time, had it replaced promptly, and later dropped off some rubber weather strip for the door so I could repair some minor damage myself (my request). Gave me reminders on routine maintenance of the new springs and the door system in general as well as on installing the weather strip fix and using dowel rods to expand the stripping to accounft for the garage floor crown at the edges. As always he's professional, curteous, affable and punctual. No question we'll call on him again if any other issues wiht the door system crop up. Highly recommended!

Closed the garage door on my bumper which cause the guide wires to come off. In trying to replace it myself, the other side came off. I used Scott before so called him up and he was out within a couple hours. Great service.

Garage door would not go up. Called and he arrived the next day. He arrived on time and fixed the door very quickly. I would definitely use this provider again.

We emailed him very late Friday night and Scott called early Saturday morning and was at our home in less than 2hours. He was able to immediately diagnose the problem and was up front about the cost to repair. He also noticed that the garage door handle was in the wrong place and moved it and also adjusted the the travel on the door opener so that the door closed with a better seal against the ground. He was extremely professional, worked quickly to solve the problem, and seemed very honest. We would highly recommend him and would definitely use him again.

I have used Scott / Shamrock door for the last 15 years, there is NO ONE else that I would use or recommend to perform any type of service when it comes to a situation involving a garage door. #1.) Prompt / Responsiveness is Best you could imagine. #2.) Pricing - Fair beyond compare. #3.) Knowledge - Knows everything that there is when it comes to garage doors. #4.) Professionalism - Far exceeds what you would expect, and treats everyone like GOLD. There is no one else that I would Ever use for this type of work, and had Scott come out a few years ago to my elderly parents home. My father had called another company, they could not be out till the next afternoon, over 24 hours later! Scott was there within 1 hour and his price was 50% less than the other company!!!! Our experience with Scott from Shamrock Overhead Door was excellent! Less than an hour after my call, Scott was at our home. Talk about prompt service! An hour! He quickly assessed the situation, explained the problem, and proceeded to repair the track and door. He was extremely thorough and efficient completing the job quickly. I appreciate his honesty regarding alternatives (i.e., panel only replacement) and assessment of costs, and possible long term issues including loss of warranty. His price was reasonable. This is the second time we called Scott. The first time, he responded when our garage door was cracked by an electrician trying to replace a garage door opener. On the prior occasion, he was also extremely prompt and responsive squeezing us in between appointments. His service, like today, was outstanding.

Everything went very well. He was thorough and efficient. He also provided a very reasonable price. He is honest and provides good solutions to problems where you don't have to spend an arm and a leg.

Shamrock was my second call for service and I wish it had been my first. I first phoned Expert Garage Doors for service and was told during the service call that a new Liftmaster garage door open was needed because our unit had burned out. Total cost would be around $600.00 for the opener, installation, the repair of two brackets, plus some maintenance. I paid $69.00 for this initial service call. Finding it hard to believe that a newer garage door opener could suddenly need replacing, so I phoned Shamrock. Shamrock quickly identified that some new trim work recently installed around the garage doors was causing interference during the opening process. In addition, there as a short in the electrical wiring so the Liftmaster unit was not functioning correctly. Shamrock rewired our unit, removed some of the tirm work , replaced two brackets and did an over all maintenance service on our garage door system for $100.00. How great is that...to have someone be so good and so wonderful in price. Thanks to Shamrock, we saved $500.00 and the garage doors works great!

After coming home on Friday night to find that both of my older springs on my garage door were broke, I reviewed providers on Angies List who had weekend hours. After perusing websites and associated videos, I decided on Shamrock Overhead Door. I called Saturday morning, and reached Scott. Although he said that he was on his way out of town at that moment, Scott said that he could come out that afternoon (in a few hours) to look at the situation and correct the problem; he would call me when he on his way. Early in the afternoon, Scott called to let me know that he was on his way. Scott introduced himself to my wife and I, and proceeded to survey my garage door problem. He gave me a quote, and I said please proceed. As Scott repaired the door, I asked him a lot of questions (I like to know how things are done) - he didn't mind at all, and in fact, was very forthcoming in letting me know what he was doing and how he was doing it (with what tools, etc.). Scott replaced the 2 springs, and also, replaced the rubber weathergard at the bottom. Throughout the job, Scott was very professional and personable. In fact, my wife and I was impressed with the job Scott did, that we had Scott come back later in the week and replace the 15 year old garage door opener whose associated light no longer functioned and could not be easily and/or cheaply repaired. We scheduled that appointment, and Scott and a colleague came back and replaced the garage door opener; Scott again was very helpful in reviewing the functions of the new opener with my wife and I. My wife was very happy that with the new opener and the fact that she no longer had to walk into a dark garage... I would definitely recommend Scott and Shamrock Overhead Door to others.

The coil on my garage door broke Monday evening and called Shamrock the following morning. Scott called me right back and was able to come out that very morning and replace the coils. He worked very quickly, was very professional, and very pleasant. When I talked with others afterwards I found out that the cost of the repairs was very inexpensive compared to what others had paid other companies. I would certainly call him again.

Service was great! We were told by other companies that we needed a whole new garage door and that it couldn't be repaired. Shamrock told us that they would be able to repair the door for less than 1/6 of the cost of replacing the door. They came and gave us a free estimate and were able to come out right away and fix the door once we called them back. We were very happy with Shamrock!!

Garage door broke late at night, first thing next morning called several companies. Other companies I left a message, Scott answered the phone himself and was the only person that was able to come out in a couple hours. Other places couldn't be out till late afternoon, or didn't even call me back until that afternoon. Scott was out within a couple hours and showed me where one of the cables had broken. The door is very old so figured while he was there to have him go ahead and update the springs and cables so won't have any problems in the future. He was polite, prompt, courteous, and seemed to love his work. His prices were great and consider finding him a blessing! The spring broke on my double garage door the morning of Memorial Day (5/28). I didn't look for anyone to repair on the holiday. On 5/29 (about 8:30am), I called Shamrock. Mike (the owner) not only said he could fix it, but that he could be out that morning. He was out within the hour, replaced the broken spring. Additionally, he lubricated the mechanisms--the garage door hasn't sounded this good in years! Excellent service! Excellent price! Shamrock is the only company I'll call when it's time to do any repair/replacement on my garage door or the opener!

Shamrock is, hands down, one of the most committed and conscientious companies out there today, with regard to garage door repairs and/or replacement. Scott is the type of person that will not walk away from a job until everything meets not only the customer?s satisfaction, but his own high standards of quality, as well. I called Scott and told him about our garage door spring breaking and needing it to be replaced. He was able to replace the spring the same day and was very professional and quick. Within 15 minutes of his arrival, the spring was replaced and we had an operating garage door once again. I was very pleased with his promptness, expertise, and demeanor during the installation. Pricing was competitive and fair. I could not have asked for better service and am very happy I called Shamrock Overhead Door. Ken was a little late but worked around my work schedule coming to our house EARLY before I left for work! He was very friendly and fixed our door fast. He even told us another problem he saw (it needed reinforced) and it only cost an extra 15 dollars. Even though he was a little late, I still got to work on time because of his fast work.

The lock on my exterior garage door broke. I did not have a way to secure my home. I searched Angie's List and called the company with the most positive reviews and a name I've heard of. I got an answering machine. After reviewing the glowing reviews about Shamrock Overhead Door, I decided to give them a try. Scott, the owner, answered the call, came to my house within an hour, gave me some options to fix the problem, and installed a new lock on my garage door on the spot. He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and fair. I would highly recommend this guy.

The garage door spring broke when leaving for work in the morning. Based on Angie's List, I called at 11:00am and spoke with Scott regarding the issue. He was finishing a job in Hilliard and met me at the house at Noon and completed all of the repairs by 12:pm. Scott was very polite and explained what he was doing, and was completely professional. The prompt service was exceptional.
