Description of Work: I’ve worked with them for carpet and it was a great experience. They replaced the carpet in the back bedroom and it was done very professionally. They are currently in the process of putting down vinyl planking in my condo. They have been very good about coming out when something needs attention.

Description of Work: We had our rental property carpeted in order to sell it. I was told that the carpet layers were licensed and bonded and I did not have to be there. When we went to inspect the job we found that one of the brand new six panel doors had a big chunk out of the bottom of it. In addition, the steps leading to the basement were not carpeted properly. The sides of the steps are open and they merely laid the paid and the carpet on top and cut a straight edge on both sides instead of wrapping it. Now when we vacuum it frays. The only response I got when I called customer service was that it was installed according to the salesman's instructions. The funny thing is that we had the same steps carpeted six years earlier and they wrapped the edges so they would not be exposed. I had no reason to believe this time would be any different. There only suggestion to me was to have a contractor build sides to the steps. But the way they laid the carpet on the steps is too short from side to side so it would make the steps really narrow. It's difficult to make sure the salesman is giving the correct instructions when we were counting on them to be the experts and install it correctly - even if it meant paying a little extra.

They take payments upfront and that was something I did not like. The people who they sent for installation did a very messy work and I had to paint every wall they got close to. The quality of their work was also not good. I had a terrible experience with them.
Description of Work: I bought the bathroom fittings from them. I also bought tiles and some carpets.

The guy that came out was really nice. They gave us a really good estimate. He wasn't pressuring at all. They found an old carpet pattern for us.
Description of Work: We have purchased carpet and they will install it. Price per square foot is $1.99.

I wanted an oversized remnant to cover a large living area which had hard wood floors. They helped me select one that was to be longer lasting, and suggested a nice thick pad to keep it in place and protect the wood underneath. I ended up removing the rug and pad just last month. The carpet didn't wear particularly well. It was Ok, but had become worn in spots, matted down. The pad did, however, protect the hardwood. They did not to any installation or delivery.
Description of Work: In 2006, I purchased a large remnant plus pad to cover hard floor in children's play area.

This didn't go so well. The sales center was nicely appointed and had many samples of carpet, however, the estimate was the highest of the three I received for a lower quality product. We weren't ready to commit to purchasing, so the sales person wouldn't let us keep the full estimate sheet where he did some of his calculations. I probably won't return.

They had a great price during one of their many sales for $1/square foot installed, though the upgraded pad was extra. They had a crew of subcontractors do the work who were fast but not the best. Several spots have something underneath that was carpeted over, I'm not sure what is under there. Also, several of the edges have strings sticking out. If you're looking for speed and price, this is your place. If you want high quality work, you should probably try somewhere else.

These men did not speak English. They damaged my wall. My closet doors needed to be taken off to install the carpet and the doors were installed incorrectly. The carpet on my stair case was not put on properly. The carpet in my bedroom is now rippling; It took me 3 times to get someone to come out and install the carpet correctly on the stairs. The final man who came out did a great job. I would never use this company again.
Description of Work: Installed carpet in my bedroom, sitting room, hallway and a winding stair case with a landing.

The carpet has buckled since installation. I called customer service and two of the original installers came to check it and said that the sub-floor was bad. I called customer service back and they sent Sam to look at it. He said the same thing. I asked if they were experienced carpet installers would they not have known that the sub-floor needed to be replaced first or the carpet would not lay properly? He said he would get back to me in two days. He never did. I have since made four more calls to customer service which have never been returned.
Description of Work: On July 21 of this year, Rite Rug installed indoor/outdoor carpeting on our back porch.

Within a couple of years after purchasing our carpet we started seeing gray spots. They sent someone out and he agreed that it shouldn't be happening. This was in November, and we decided to wait until after the holidays to have work done. Soon after the holiday season we received a letter saying that they were not responsible for the problem! We called to try and figure this out and they were very unresponsive. We did finally talk with someone who told us the gentleman who had come out had been in an accident and his calls weren't being returned. They sent somebody else out who agreed with the first guy about the problem. 3 days later they sent us a letter telling us they would refund 2850 dollars. They removed the carpet for free, which was nice (although they were late). We also bought hardwood flooring from them and they matched a competitor's price ($4.28/sq.ft.), but were not willing to take back two left over bundles. Things did end alright, but it was difficult.
Description of Work: Had a problem with gray spots showing up on a carpet we purchased from them.

The crew was on time and worked quickly and confidently. The quality and workmanship of their work was top-notch. The only problem was that they made no attempt to contain the cement and tile dust produced when they removed the floor tile (hanging plastic at both ends of the foyer would have effectively trapped the dust), so the dust made a big mess and coated everything on both floors of the house. I talked to several people at the Dublin store and at the main office who made no effort to help. It took many phone calls and much aggravation before I finally reached the right person, and she arranged to pay for cleaning the carpet and furniture. There was still a big mess everywhere else that I had to clean.
Description of Work: Remove tile floor from entrance foyer and hallway and replace with new vinyl flooring. Remove existing vinyl flooring from kitchen and eat-in area and replace with new vinyl flooring.

THE QUALITY WAS FINE, BUT THE SERVICE STUNK. THEY WERE COMING BACK TO FINISH UP WHAT NEEDED TO BE SPECIAL ORDERED. THE PIECE WASN'T IN, SO THEY NEVER CALLED AND NEVER SHOWED UP. THEY TOOK A SAMPLE OF THE ORIGINAL CARPET INSTALLED TO NOTIFY THE INSPECTOR THAT ORIGINALLY CAME OUT AND INSPECTED THE FIRST JOB. I WAS TOLD SOMEONE WOULD CONTACT ME. I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM AND I AM THE ONE WHO HAS TO KEEP INITIAL CONTACT WITH THE COMPANY.
Description of Work: PURCHASED BURBER CARPET FOR MASTER BEDROOM, LARGE CLOSET, AND SMALL FAMILY ROOM. THE INSTALLATION WAS ON 6/16/03 AND WAS LOUSY. I COULD TELL RIGHT AWAY THAT THE CARPET WAS FLAWED, SEEMS WERE VERY NOTICEABLE AND CARPET WAS FREYED IN SOME AREAS.I SPOKE WITH KELLY ON 6/23/03 WHO IN TURN DIRECTED MY CALL TO SANDY. I ASKED ABOUT A SERVICE UPDRADE OF THE PAD AND WAS TOLD IF I DID THAT I WOULD DEFAULT THE WARRANTY OF THE CARPET. I DID SOME RESEARCH ON MY OWN FROM OTHER CARPET PROVIDERS, AND FOUND THAT THEY HAD NEVER HEARD OF THIS TYPE OF SITUATION. AFTER TELLING SANDY ABOUT MY RESEARCH, SHE OBTAINED A COPY OF THE WARRANTY AND FOUND THAT I COULD UPGRADE THE PAD. THEY SENT TWO INSTALLERS TO DO THE UPGRADE AND TO RE-INSTALL THE SAME CARPETING. AT THAT TIME I EXPRESSED TO THE INSTALLERS THAT I THOUGHT THERE WAS A MANUFACTURE DEFECTS WITH THE CARPET. THE INSTALLERS AGREED WITH ME.

THE CARPET IS NICE BUT HAVE SOMEONE ELSE INSTALL IT!
Description of Work: CARPET INSTALLED IN LIVING ROOM, HALLWAY AND TWO BEDROOMS. DURING THE INITIAL VISIT THE CARPET WAS POORLY INSTALLED AND THEY RAN OUT OF CARPET TO DO THE CLOSETS. THE CARPET WAS NOT TRIMMED OR STRETCHED WELL. WHEN PULLING UP THE OLD CARPET A PANEL WAS DAMAGED AND REMOVED. THEY INSTALLED THE CARPET OVER THE MISSING PANEL WHICH RESULTED IN A NOTICEABLE DEPRESSION. THERE IS ALSO A PLACE WHERE THE FLOOR WAS UNEVEN (RESULTING IN POORLY STRETCHED CARPET) THAT THE INSPECTOR SAID THEY COULD MAKE LOOK BETTER BY USING A PIECE OF WOOD TO GRADUATE THE UNEVEN FLOORING. AN INSPECTOR WAS SENT OUT AND AGREED WITH ALL OF OUR COMPLAINTS SAYING A REPAIR GUY WOULD BE SENT BACK TO FIX EVERYTHING WHEN THE ADDITIONAL CARPET WAS ORDERED AND CAME IN. INSTEAD THEY RESENT THE ORIGINAL INSTALLERS (NOT A REPAIRER) WHO DID NOT HAVE THE MATERIAL TO FIX THE DAMAGED PANELS (ALTHOUGH THEY DID FIX THE MISSING CARPET IN THE CLOSETS, THE TRIMMING, AND SOME STRETCHING).

SINCE I HAD PURCHASED A VERY EXPENSIVE WOOL CARPET, THE COMPANY SENT OUT TWO OF THEIR MORE EXPERIENCED INSTALLERS, WHICH I APPRECIATED. I REQUESTED THAT THEY USE A VERY SPECIFIC INSTALLATION TECHNIQUE AND MATERIALS DUE TO THE UNIQUENESS OF THE ROOM. WHEN INSTALLING HOWEVER, THE INSTALLERS TRIED TO PUT THE CARPET IN WITHOUT USING THE REQUESTED MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUE. THEY THEN INFORMED ME THAT THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO FINISH THE INSTALLATION WITHOUT USING THE MATERIALS THAT I HAD REQUESTED IN THE FIRST PLACE. IT IS IRRITATING TO HAVE PEOPLE SECOND GUESS ME AS A CUSTOMER, IGNORING MY REQUESTS. AND THEN TO TELL ME THAT THEY HAD TRIED TO DO IT THEIR WAY, WHICH WOULD NOT WORK AND THAT THEY SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO ME WAS MORE THAN A LITTLE FRUSTRATING.
