RESPONSE ON CALLS WHICH INVOLVED POLICE WAS SLOW. SOMETIMES YOU HAD TO WAIT A FEW MINUTES BEFORE THEY WOULD CALL TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS OK Or FALSE ALARM. The charge is $30.00 per MONTH INCLUDING INSTALLATION.

OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS THEY HAVE LOST OUR ZONE INFORMATION, FAILED TO CALL OUR CONTACT LIST, FAILED TO PROCESS UPDATES TO THE CONTACT LIST, FAILED TO INFORM SERVICE TECH'S OF AN EMERGENCY SERVICE SITUATION, AND IF YOU CALL THEIR 800 NUMBER YOU GET A "PRESS 1 IF YOUR ALARM IS CURRENTLY GOING OFF" VOICE MAIL MENU. WE WILL REPLACE THEM VERY SOON. ALTHOUGH THE SERVICE TECH'S ARE EXCELLENT, THE NATIONAL MONITORING SERVICE IS TERRIBLE.
Description of Work: WE HAVE HAD EXCELLENT SERVICE FROM THE LOCAL PROTECTION ONE SERVICE TECHNICIANS, BUT THE MONITORING SERVICE, PROVIDED BY THE NATIONAL COMPANY, IS THE PITS.

PLEASE DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! THEY INSTALLED A SECURITY SYSTEM IN MY HOUSE AND DURING THE PROCESS UNPLUGGED MY SUMP PUMP. THREE DAYS LATER I ENTERED THE BASEMENT (FINISHED) AND FOUND IT FLOODED. INSURANCE ESTIMATE OF OVER $9000 FOR CLEAN-UP AND RE-CONSTRUCTION. THE COMPANY HAS ADMITTED THEIR MISTAKE BUT IS NOW REFUSING TO PAY THE BILLS FOR CLEAN UP. THE BASEMENT HAS BEEN RECONSTRUCTED BY A COMPANY OF THEIR CHOICE BUT THIS COMPANY HAS YET TO BE PAID FOR THEIR WORK BY PROTECTION ONE. I HAVE FILED COMPLAINTS WITH THE BBB AND THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF OHIO. TO BE FAIR I WILL SAY THAT I LIKE THE ALARM SYSTEM AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH IT.

THE CONTRACTOR THAT COMPLETED THE WORK ON THIS HOME WAS PAID IN FULL AFTER ALL THE WORK WAS DOCUMENTED AS SATISFACTORY TO THE HOMEOWNER. ALL ISSUES SURROUNDING THIS COMPLAINT HAVE BEEN RESOLVED. PROTECTION ONE'S GOAL IS TO QUICKLY RESOLVE ISSUES THAT ARE TRULY ACCIDENTAL OR UNAVOIDABLE.
