Description of Work: The moved our entire apartment into our new single family home. We had several large pieces of furniture that were hard to maneuver and carry and they did it without ruining the furniture or the walls. We have used them in our move from Cleveland to Columbus and then from our apartment in Columbus to our home. Whenever we need to move again we plan to use Moving Ahead services

Description of Work: They moved everything that was in my basement from one house to another in two hours. They arrived early they were ready to go at the scheduled time and they completed the job in the two hour period.

Description of Work: Moving Ahead has been excellent in helping me when I thought I was moving but found out I would not be moving at this time. They were extremely kind and told me Angie's List would refund my money (I did not realize this). If I do move, I would be willing to use their services. They were referred to me by two other people who found them to be efficient and careful.

Description of Work: He was to provide an employee togive me an estimate on 8-18. He did not show. He came the next day and said I would have a quote within 24 hours. It is now 8-25 and I have not yet heard from them.

Description of Work: Partial packing and full move from Columbus to Cleveland. Very courteous service, took great care with all our furniture and belongings.

Description of Work: They moved a vintage piano out of state for me. They were so careful and the move went just fine. Great company, will use them again.

Description of Work: Did a flat rate move option with them, hourly rate is also an option if you want to do a lot of your own packing. They were able to accomodate my request for a local move all in one day (full packing up of our 4-bedroom, 2-story ~2000 SF house and loading onto trucks and then unloading at the new house (also 2-story) and reassembling of the few pieces of furniture that had to be disassembled to move. Overall went really well, a few boxes ended up in the wrong room despite instruction and they forgot to put a center stabilizing post back on for our bed and there were a couple minor dings in the walls of our old house, but it went well. They went out of their way to make sure we were happy and were very professional. Also, since we had a flat-rate move, they were able to bring extra people to help with the move, so we had 10 folks which made it go that much faster and smoother. My only suggestion would be to label the boxes with a little more clearly, especially in the kitchen. I wasn't looking for a full inventory (though that is an option you can pay for), but just something like Kitchen - dishes or Kitchen - pots & pans, etc. to get the gist of what was in a box. Some were labeled this way, but most weren't. Not a huge deal, but would have saved us some time unpacking for only a few extra minutes of their time while packing.
