I could not have asked for a better experience than the one my family had with Moving Ahead! Dominic was amazing coordinating all services down to the last minute need of hauling trash which was taken care of without any problems! The crew showed up exactly when promised, Nick, Greg and Damien were very polite and professional. They did not waste anytime from the time they arrived until the end of the move, working efficiently and carefully with all our possessions. I would highly recommend Moving Ahead LLC for anyone who has to move. (I even hired the Columbus Moving Ahead for labor only to move furniture in my house!)

Sean and his assistant were amazing. They arrived exactly when they stated they would and did not waste any time starting the job; working efficiently and safely until all my furniture was moved. Sean was actually training his assistant, it was his first day on the job. He coached and instructed him as they moved each piece of furniture. I was very impressed and would definitely hire Moving Ahead again.

The management worked well to resolve my bad experience with one of the movers. They mentioned it did not represent them as a company and have taken the correct action for that individual and worked well to resolve my issue. Although the move itself was an unfortunate experience, I'm confident if I hired them again, I would have a much better experience. My moving experience: Both movers that showed up were extremely nice however it felt like one of them wasn't the right fit for moving heavy items. He talked to me quite a bit when I felt he should have been helping the other mover; he complained of shoulder pain, complained about how heavy my king mattress was, and seemed extremely fatigued just going up and down steps. The other worker seemed to be doing all of the hard work; he was pulling up the heaviest items on a dolly by himself, when it would've been faster if both men were helping. It felt like the one that was struggling was trying to find other things to do other than loading/unloading the truck (talking/telling stories, carrying one light item at a time, etc). He did help take apart one bed frame because I didn't have the right tools, but when I asked him NOT to put it back together to save time at the unload, he still put it together. Because of this, just getting the truck loaded took 3 hours. I had a 2 bedroom condo that wasn't even completely full, no large couches, and only one dresser. Because it took a total of 5 hours, I was really worried about an appointment that I had to leave for at 2:30 and that I would miss it, so I started helping unload the truck at the new place even though I'm 25 weeks pregnant. I hired movers because of my pregnancy and I didn't want to have to do the heavy lifting. I was alone because I had to adjust my move date at the last minute, so I didn't have additional help from my family/friends. Because I was alone, and a woman, I feel like I was taken advantage of and forced to pay for an inadequate moving experience that took 5 hours (and $800), when I was expecting it to take no more than 3 hours. I heard of Moving Ahead via Angie's List and there were a lot of great reviews, which I why I picked the company, but I'm left with an unpleasant taste in my mouth and ended up paying A LOT more than I was anticipating.

Very professional but relaxed and nice guys (Thomas and Henry) stopped at two locations in PA and dropped off at the new assisted living and a storage unit. They were efficient and careful, friendly but not overly so, and arrived earlier than their expected time driving from several states away which turned out to be very helpful, as we had time to make adjustments to what stayed in the new apartment and what went to storage. They were happy to work with us even when we changed our minds and had to reverse our decisions. I'm not sure whether we paid a lot or a little, as we only looked at one mover who was rated highly by Angie's list. We tipped $100, which the guys seemed happy about, and did it about halfway through the move so they didn't have to wait till the end to know if we were going to tip them- I think that's a good policy once you see that a good job is being done. In any case they were efficient but not rushed, and asked us where we wanted every item, even moving them later if we changed our minds.

Phenomenal. Absolutely Phenomenal. I hired the first company without checking on them completely and was taken for a ride. The first company (not Moving Ahead) tripled the quote when they arrived at my door saying I underestimated how much stuff would be moved even though I had rented the whole truck. I researched Moving Ahead and they checked out on the BBB and other sites, so I gave them a try. The workers were there before they said they would, they were courteous, hard working, and quick! All of my antiques were carefully packed up, boxes placed were I wanted them. The driver arrived from Ohio (same workers came to unpack so I knew them and they knew my stuff) within 36 hours. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend--I worked with Marton and he was amazing!!!!

The MAS teams were knowledgeable, professional, flexible, efficient and fun to work with. They took the stress out of the move. I chose to pack the individual boxes myself because I had the time and wanted to go through things. It was a good process for me to go through. They were flexible on providing the boxes and supplies when I needed them (2 deliveries) and provided advice on how to pack selected items when I called, e.g., dishes. Their dish barrels are great. They were always on time. This included the initial meeting with the surveyor who met with me, toured my home, assessed my needs and provided the estimate as well as the 3 person team who packed my goods and the 2 person team who transported and unpacked them. I really liked the flexibility they provided with the up to 2 days free storage. All members of the team were experienced. They packaged (wrapped furniture including my piano) and loaded (into their truck) the goods from my 2 bedroom townhouse in ~ 3.5 hours and unloaded them in about the same amount of time. It was like clockwork. Nothing was damaged. The teams worked well together and I enjoyed them as well.

They showed up on the early side of their time frame. They sent two movers and estimated 3-5 hours and it was closer to 5. They charged us a rate of $125 per hour w/ a travel expense of $125. Nothing was broken, which is very high praise! They were very efficient and really did a great job. I highly recommend them.

They were incredible as always. They showed up early to get the furniture wrapped and ready to go. Then they came to my place and positioned it in my home just where I wanted it. Amazing work as always.

The move went quick and smooth. I was able to book a move that worked on my own time without any issues. The quote for the time of the move was extremely accurate while being reassured throughout the process. They took their time and treated the furniture and items like they were their own. I had no issues with any items being damaged and would highly recommend to anyone that plans on moving in the future. Thank you.

We chose to downsize from >6000 square foot home to 3000. They came in with 3 trucks and 11 movers and finished the job in 9 hrs. Their crew was on time and they were very meticulous in taking care of fragile items. Finished as promised and didn’t leave until everything was placed where requested.

The company as a whole is very polite, professional, and precise. The movers are very pleasant, they work very efficiently, and do a fantastic job. Myself and several clients have worked with this company and I haven't heard a single complaint yet!

I hired Moving Ahead Services to pack and move my 4 bedroom house. We moved about 10 hours away to another state. They were great from start to finish. From the initial sales call I had confidence that my belongings would be taken care of - and they service did not disappoint.
