The gentlemen doing the moving were friendly, strong and capable, and beyond courteous and seemed willing to perform any of the necessary tasks to complete the job professionally. Most everything was ready to go when they got there right on time. They (2 of them) took just a few minutes looking at everything and then went right to work. They were polite, responsive and quick. In fact when down to just a little left, there were a few odds and ends laying around. One of the workers took an empty bin and quickly gathered up the odds and ends into the bin and down into the truck without even asking. There were no problems in the move, nothing broke, everything was smooth. If you have moved yourself before like I have (3 times) let me just say..... hiring a mover is SO MUCH NICER and your friends dont get ticked at you :-) Hire this mover and you wont regret it.

The men, Alan and Bob came right on time and moved very quickly. They were very careful about packing our furniture. The day was very rainy and cold and the guys were very professional and made us feel confident that our things were in good hands. We would use this company again and have already recommended them to others.

Wonderful experience....on time, quick packaging/loading/unloading, courteous, professional, fair rates....just a smooth move!? We actually used them a few weeks?later to move a boat...again, a very pleasant & easy experience.

Excellent. This was actually the second time using them. We used them in 2009 when we moved up to Ohio and liked them so much we used them again! They called ahead of time, showed up early, were very polite. Took very good care of all our furniture and in the packing of the truck. After they had unloaded the truck there was time left we had prepaid for, so they stuck around to help us remove boxes for furniture we unpacked while they were moving boxes in (did I mention we felt 0 need to watch over them, a nice change from movers I used in the past), folded the rented moving blankets, cleaned the truck. Made our moving day a breeze. As a side note, one of the best things you can do is label your boxes clearly with where they are going. I printed up large labels that showed up or down stairs, and which room. This meant we didn't have to direct them where they should go, and could start unpacking while they worked.

Moving Ahead was by far the best price, even without the Angie's List coupon. They also quoted a time that was less than all other companies. They were confident that the move could be done in the timeframe they suggested. The two workers were very diligent, moving the items at a good pace. They were very friendly and overall did an excellent job. If I require movers again, these guys will undoubtedly be the company that I call first and almost certainly hire. Again, the experience was overall, fantastic.

It went very well and was stress free. I used a coupon on Angies list for the move and saved $125. Even without the coupon, they were the most affordable quote I got. The coupon made it even better. I spoke with the movers and told them how much we had, and they suggested that I use 3 men to move all the stuff instead of the standard 2, and that was really the best advice for the move. It took from 9am to 4pm to get it all done, and they made 2 trips with their truck to get it all there. The movers were professional, didn't even scratch a thing, and caused no damage to any of the properties. In order to keep my costs down, we had prepacked everything but expensive art and frames, and we had also disassembled all of the beds for ease of moving. We did not ask them to reassemble anything either. They charge an hourly rate, so this is crucial for keeping costs down. Other movers quoted me more than $500 higher, even when I told them I was prepacked with one man boxes staged in the garage and ready to go! I recommend them highly for their skill in moving and transparency when it comes to pricing. They are easy to deal with and do not charge you any extra fees at the end that you were not anticipating.

Everything turned out pretty good with this company. They were on time to the job. They were very flexible with my schedule. This company was very easy to work with and professional as well. The only minor problem was that my desk was broke during the move. I would use this company again.

Two men arrived at my home in Dublin with a large moving truck at 9:00am. After doing a quick walk-through to see everything that needed to be moved and filling out some necessary paperwork (liability forms, etc.) they began hauling the boxes and furniture we had packed. Once a room was clear they had us check over the space to make sure they hadn't missed anything. When the house was empty, we went ahead of them to our new home. They arrived a bit later, found the best place to unload and began doing so. We were asked to remain fairly available so they could ask where everything needed to go. The only negative comment I have is that the estimate I was given when we booked the movers was pretty far off from the final cost. This is not because they lied to me, but rather it took longer than originally estimated. I've concluded that this may be because I filled out a pretty basic online form to get the quote rather than calling. I imagine had I been required to give more information on my space and furniture/boxes, the quote would have been closer to the final cost. Overall great experience, nice guys, and an Angie's List discount!

The guys showed up on time and ready to go to work! They were friendly, professional, expedient, careful, and efficient. When they first arrived, they took a quick walk through our house, asking questions and getting a feel for the scope of the project. They listened to our direction, but had a point of view for how things should be done. Because they were the experts at this process moving, I appreciated their input and it just took a few minutes for me to realize the best thing to do was to stand back and let them take over. And in just a few minutes more, I felt comfortable that they completely knew what they were doing. There was no need for me to hover around, I was able to relax and trust that the job was getting done right. For the next 4 hours, they were in and out of the house, loading the truck. My family and I spent that time cleaning empty rooms and taking turns running errands. My pre-teen children would occasionally get in the way, and the guys were extremely polite and respectful - even when carrying heavy loads. Unloading the truck at the new house was just as non-stressful. Because we had been pretty good about labeling the boxes, they were able to put things in the right rooms fairly easily. My husband and I stayed close because there were questions about what furniture should go where, and we so appreciated their willingness to put things where we wanted. It made the next few days for us so much easier, because we didn't have to move large furniture around at all. Our friends are amazed at the fact that we were 100% unpacked in under 2 weeks...and a big part of that was the great job that this company did!

Moving Ahead Services was excellent. Used a coupon which made an already good deal even better. Total move time was about 8 hours. We packed the small breakable items ourselves (dishes, computers, collectibles, etc...). We had quite a few pieces of furniture and some appliances to move. The movers broke down and reassembled the furniture without any issues . We also had an additional stop to make for items not going to our house. From beginning to end, the whole experience was pleasant. I will use them again for any future move.
