Patient & detailed for our move of 1mi from our old 2 story 1250sq ft 3 bedroom home with lots of basement storage boxes and an entire heavy wood swing set. Spencer recommended a 2nd truck and 5th man especially for moving the swing set in large pieces in order to make the move happen much faster; therefore saving hourly cost. (Thank goodness because it still took all day and both trucks were full!) My frugal do-it your self hubby was impressed with the care of our items, work ethic of the moving team, and they never took a break or lunch. "Worth every penny!" The move was july 1. It was hot and rainy, but no one complained. Our toddler fell asleep on a cot in her new room just before the trucks arrived in the late afternoon. They offered to hold her furniture and was quiet upstairs until she woke up an hour later. We later noticed that her white crib was cosmetically damaged. Alan apologized and offered reasonable compensation. We highly recommend and we would use again.

I supplied the movers with (1) a complete list of furniture and boxes to be moved one week before the scheduled move date and (2) the destination Michigan address. They provided an exact cost of the move. On the day of the move, they loaded their truck, drove to Michigan, unloaded the items, and then drove their truck back to Ohio -- all in one day & without an incident of any kind. The movers were courteous and efficient, and I would recommened them highly.

These guys were great! Spencer at the office was very courteous and efficient. This was the second time I used this company, once to move my things out of a 2 Bedroom apt., and later my mothers truck full of things including paintings, antique furniture and lots of boxes. They were all very punctual, polite and hardworking. Bob and Teal were the best, a couple of the other guys did check their phones frequently, but didn't stop moving. I would definitely recommend them as they gave us a reasonable price for the amount of work. The first move was on a Saturday and they stayed longer than necessary to make sure our furniture was where we wanted it to be. The second move, although we requested 4 guys, three came since they were overbooked, but the rate was adjusted accordingly and they were done in less than the time they estimated it would take them. Overall a good experience. I would definitely recommend them!

I could not be more pleased with the service we received from Moving Ahead Services. My husband and I moved from Ohio to Kentucky and I was honestly dreading the logistics of the move. I called about 10 companies to get quotes and Moving Ahead Services provided by far, the most reasonable quote (most quotes were $500-1000 higher). I received excellent customer service with every interaction I had with the company-from the initial quote to the movers who performed the move. Alec and his team did an amazing job with our move. They loaded the van very quickly and were very courteous in their interactions with us. They even called on the drive down to say they were running a little bit late because of traffic and a storm, which I really appreciated. I finished cleaning our place in Ohio and left about an hour after the truck and by the time I got to our new house, the truck was 90% unloaded (even with the weather and traffic delay) and none of our belongings were damaged or broken. I would 100% use this company again!

I needed a moving company to move just furniture from my third story apartment to a townhouse. Unfortunately, I chose the worst weather day to move! It was the first snowfall of the season and the movers were suppose to show up at 9am (I was worried they may cancel because the weather was bad). Because of the weather and traffic, they called ahead to say they would be a few minutes late. They arrived at about 9:15am and went through my apartment to see exactly what they were moving. After signing the paperwork, they begin moving around 9:30am. I purchased a coupon through Angie's List for $259 for two people for three hours of moving, which also included a 16 ft truck. After about two hours they had moved all my furniture (put down blankets for carpet protection) and were ready to drive and unload at my townhouse. The unload was just as quick! Both guys were very professional and I would use this company again.

This was a fantastic Big Deal. They showed up when they were supposed to. They were quick and efficient with their work and actually got everything done with time to spare. Nothing was broken or scratched. Great experience!

The move went beautifully. I would hire these guys again without hesitation. They handled the multiple houses with ease and smart planning, and they even helped us out with another delivery not on the original request. They whisked washers and dryers up and down basement stairs, even lugged a heavy, awkward sleeper sofa up a flight of stairs and into another house. They didn't stop for breaks, just gratefully accepted some chocolate peanut butter eggs as a snack. They were polite, helpful, cheerful, strong, willing, and never slowed down. I can't say enough good things about the quality of their work, after weeks of my dreading what promised to be a complicated process of moving possessions in my mother's estate to various family members who wanted various items. I'm so grateful and I recommend this company to anybody who's uncertain if they're worth it. The answer is a fervent YES.

To sum it all up Moving Ahead LLC. is awesome there social, efficient and also helped my mother and father in law empty there van, the service is exceptional i will refer to anyone looking to move, its a shame i bought my house because if i didn't i'd be calling them again and again and again, they moved me in 3 hours to a 3 bedroom bi-level single family home, and to anyone who has the thought that it has to be in a box to be moved, not true if you want it moved they'll move it and ask you is there anything else they can do. I can go on and on but imma leave it at this here, if your thinking that hiring movers is to expensive think again and do it while gaining a piece of mine!! Needed to move treasured family heirloom piano from NE Ohio to our home in central Ohio. First investigated moving companies on Angie's List running specials -- and while Moving Ahead was running one, it didn't apply to my needs. I thought it was at least a place for me to start so I called them. **The special caught my attention but I didn't expect them to give it to me.** I spoke with 2 employees there who were both helpful, responsive, called back when they said they would...AND THEY GAVE ME THE DISCOUNT ANYWAY! I called 2 other piano specialty moving companies to do my due diligence and they were at least $100 more than Moving Ahead's base price, nevermind the 10% discount which on an $800+ bill is extremely helpful! It was a no-brainer, they got my business. **Knowing that the reviews were strong for all 3, I felt like I was comparing apples to apples thanks to Angie's List's services!** I received an email confirmation 2 days after my initial inquiry once the details, mileage, discount pricing and scheduled date/time were worked out. Today, they arrived at my in-law's home on time to pick up the piano, and arrived in an expected time frame for delivery. The guys (Ed and helper) were pleasant, laid-back, professional, friendly. They moved a piece of furniture for me to make room for the piano, too. AND, my mother-in-law sent a little care package to accompany the piano and Ed's assistant handed it to me, as if my mother-in-law herself had handed it to me! This was a terrific experience. And I've already taken a picture of my daughter sitting on the piano bench of her great-grandmother's piano whom she never had the blessing of meeting. Thanks, guys. You did a great job! I really appreciate every stage of this move.

I think it well. They came in and they were efficient.

They were way overpriced. They hit us with a lot more money than they originally quoted us. The quote we were given was priced at $4-500 and it ended up being $1000. We weren’t completely satisfied.

It turned out great. I think one of the reasons I chose them was because they were willing to offer 2 trucks and additional bodies rather than 1 truck and make multiple trips.
