Small load to move across state lines. Easy pick up, right on time with calls before to notify us. Two guys with the truck and 2 extra men, great job wrapping each piece of furniture with blankets for great padding. Prompt drop off and again quick unloading. Staff were all friendly and very professional. Took great care of all items. Good value. Would definately use again and recommend to others. Driver very careful positioning truck in driveway to avoid damaging surrounding trees and again at the drop off keeping truck off grass.

We moved from 2 bedroom +den apartment with, garage and large storage into a house. 2 1/2 trucks 8 people. They packed all and moved the 3 locations in two days. Nothing got broken or damage and while it was a hard word, they still got it with great attitude and polite behaviors until the last minute. John as the moving leader.

The scheduling was VERY easy and efficient. Our movers Wayne and Thomas were EXCEPTIONAL! They were on time, very pleasant and professional, wrapped everything with care and moved all items carefully and within the two hour time frame. We have had many moves in the last 7 years and have always rented our own trucks and hired random movers and there have always been issues. We are so happy that we chose Moving Ahead Services. I would HIGHLY recommend this company and especially Wayne and Thomas. They are amazing and you will not be disappointed!

This is the second time I've used Moving Ahead Services, and was once again, extremely pleased with the service! I purchased some furniture from a friend, and needed to move it within the city (from my friend's place to my house). They called 15 minutes before they arrived, arrived within the time window they promised, were courteous, and the job was complete in about an hour. I highly recommend this company, and I will continue to use them going forward.

Movers arrived on time, wrapped larger pieces of furniture, broke down beds, moved boxes, and loaded truck all without any breaks. Everything arrived intact and they unloaded and set the beds back up. All three were friendly and professional and did an excellent job.

I've used Moving Ahead Services twice and both times have exceeded my expectations. The moving staff has a "can do and will do" approach to the move and isn't afraid to tackle a tough situation. For example, my couch didn't fit through the front door, so they moved it in through the second story patio window. They also moved my super-heavy treadmill without batting an eye. When loading my storage unit, they knew exactly where to place items to maximize the space. The Moving Ahead Services team were professional, expeditious and friendly. Their pricing is very affordable as well. I have already booked them again to move my son into his next apartment. You can't go wrong with Moving Ahead Services!

I do not like to take the time to leave negative reviews but if I can keep even one person from being taken advantage of by this company then it will be worth my time. My daughter and her two roommates were moving from one apartment to another. I offered to pitch in a little towards movers and to help them find someone. I found Moving Ahead Services here on Angie's List. I chose them due to their great reviews and an offer they had for two hours of service. I told Nick the contact person that we couldn't go much beyond the two hours but I knew until they saw the job they couldn't give a good estimate. I helped pack boxes and can say this was an organized move. I had to be out of town on moving day. The movers told my daughter in front of three witnesses that they were estimating 2-4 hours. When she said she can't go beyond 2 they said "it probably will be over but not by very much, maybe 30 min". They worked extremely slowly again based on testimony from three other people there. My daughter would have moved boxes herself to save time. When they hit the 3 hour mark my daughter said she couldn't have them much longer and that said she would unwrap all the furniture they wrapped. They then spent over 30 min trying to get a sofa up the stairs to their apartment. To move from a 1,000 sq ft apartment to another cost over $500! What really shows the ethics of this company is that when my daughter asked the movers what happened to the 2+ a little over estimate he said he told the dispatcher it would take 4 hours. The company did offer to refund the 30 min for trying but failing to get the couch upstairs. I turned them down and feel we were very much taken advantage of. Review update: After learning that I was upset with the quality and price of the move Moving Ahead Services refunded a large portion of what I paid.

Men were on time and punctual. Quoted for 6 men. Only 5 showed up to pack. My intentions were to not touch anything. They only packed 85% of the items and said they would pack remaining on the next day. The next day only 5 men showed again and they packed nothing. After both trucks were loaded I still had 3 car loads of merchandise to move. They did not take everything after I repeatedly told them everything goes. After we got to the new house and they unloaded the first truck 2 men left to go to another job. The remaining 3 unloaded the 2nd truck however they did not reassemble anything. All they discussed the entire day was how much they were getting paid. I will look elsewhere next time!

Their services were clearly unsatisfactory. Cons: 1. Packed many boxes with no cushioning and damaged multiple items 2. Used unusual packing practices like using our own throw blanket to tape over and cushion mirror 3. Damaged several items temporarily-stored in their warehouse 4. Exhibited lack of customer service at times (see below) Pros: 1. Good estimate process 2. Friendly staff 3. Packed kitchen items well 4. Delivered items on time and in courteous manner Most troubling was that they focused more on not exceeding projected truck space than completing our move. We were consistently clear that they were to move ALL items and we could not stay after to attend to anything left behind. When they went to leave, we were exhausted and didn’t notice that they had not removed all items. And, we didn’t think it was our responsibility to check their work since we were consistently clear about them moving all items. The moving team left to add items we paid them to temporarily store at their facility. Then, they would not commit to returning to pick up the remaining items at our house until they knew that they would have space in the truck! We had to delay leaving for our new out-of-state home until they finally committed to return...inexcusably bad customer service. We certainly would not contract for their services again and cannot recommend Moving Ahead Services.

It went great. Thomas Banks and Andre J. worked quickly and were troopers with all the stairs in the home I sold and the home I moved to. I have nothing but good things to say about them.

The entire process from beginning to end of this process was excellent. It started from the first phone call to the moving process itself. Everyone was very respectful and helpful. We were extremely pleased with the outcome. I recently had our house re-painted and re-carpeted. Not one scratch was noticed on the walls or the furniture. Thank you Again! Moving Ahead is amazing! This is the third time I have used this company in this spring to help with the process of moving my Grandma out of her house. This time Taejauhn and Darius came to pack up a U-Haul U-Box heading to my house in Texas. They were so efficient and professional. They fit everything in one box (I had ordered two based on the measurements of the furniture) and under the time estimated. They did an excellent job securing everything and wrapping everything in furniture pads/blankets. Everything arrived in Texas and when the U-Box was opened and unpacked nothing had shifted or been damaged.

Thomas and Micheal were AWESOME! They had great attitudes, were on time, and knowledgeable. They hustled, were careful with my items, and finished the project in less time than I thought! I will hire them again and request these two gentlemen! They even saved me money at my storage unit...figuring out how to get everything in one unit instead of two like I thought I needed! I couldn't be more impressed.
