I wanted to buy the disposer in store, which I did, and arrange for installation at the same time, which I did, and paid for both in the store. The in store service was very good, the installation was very good and on time. I would use this service again.

From the moment we met Tim Bowman at the Dublin Lowe's store, we knew our project was in great hands. Tim was patient, informative, helpful and sensitive to our pickiness about how our home was treated during the installation process. Tim made sure the crew installing our carpet was meticulous and conscientious when in our home - a HUGE deal to us. We've dealt with a lot of vendors in the last 8 months and some are atrocious. The crew from the 3rd party installer was fantastic. They arrived one minute early, worked through lunch ad took super care of our property. The carpet looks fantastic. We could not be happier.

(installers) We purchased carpeting for three rooms, stairs, and hallway from Lowe's. The quality and cost were great, the issue was the sub contracted for installation. Granted, we had quite a delay installing the one room as we had major structural work that had to be done first. Lowe's could have done a better job returning my calls but the sub's calls were not handled professionally. The owner and I had several phone conversations where upon he would change his story. The men who did the actual installation were fantastic, professional, and trustworthy. Great job guys(installers)!

I went to the Lowe's store in Dublin, OH, at 6 p.m. on a Wednesday evening. I needed assistance in getting 3 boards (2x12x12) cut into 3 pieces each for a project I'm building. The employees who knew anything all appeared to be on their "lunch" break. Other employees seemed to be wandering around and when asked a question, they said they didn't work in that department. I had to force an employee who told me he was working on an internet order to stop and help me find some parts and the correct size screws I needed in hardware. In the lumber area, an employee was cutting lumber for another order. I told him I would need assistance when he was finished and he agreed to help me. He left to deliver the lumber to the register and never returned. After waiting 15 minutes, I went all the way to the Customer Service desk and they paged overhead to have someone meet me in lumber. By the time I got there the employee I previously spoke with was walking away saying he was going on his lunch break. I waved down another employee and he told me he didn't work in lumber anymore and told me I had to press a button for assistance (it was at the other end of the section where I was standing). I pointed out that since I was speaking with him I shouldn't need to walk half the store to press a button. Of course, now I was irritated so I did walk over and "pressed the button". I let him know that I was very dissatisfied with his response and that since he knew how to help me out, I wanted him to do so or find someone else. He eventually helped me and was professional in spite of my obvious irritation. Although I was able to get what I needed, it took well over 1 hour to accomplish. I noted that most employees barely make eye contact and hurry away if they think you want help or have a question. My point to Lowe's management is that there are plenty of other home improvement stores where we can take our business. Most people who walk in your doors are coming there to make a specific purchase, sometimes large purchases. In fact, I've recently spent thousands of dollars at Lowe's on various remodeling projects. Seems to me that you'd want to make sure employees engage as many customers as possible instead of running away from them or having all your experts taking a break at the same time.

I was really not wanting to buy carpet from Lowes because it just seems like a carpet store would have better carpet options and quality, prices, and service. Lowes had the carpet I wanted and the price was right so I gave it a shot. I was shocked at how well this went. Easy process. Great service up front followed by a great installation experience. The smaller carpet stores are going to have to reinvent themselves to compete with this model (low inventory, high selection, ship from warehouse, installation over $1,000 less). Great overall experience and price.

After two full loads of laundry I started to hear loud creaking noises from the hardwood floors in the laundry room. Upon inspection I saw that my hardwood floors were buckling and cracking and the baseboard was pulling away from the wall. What was happening was the water that was supposed to drain into a plumbing pipe was instead running between my walls, under my floor and down into the basement, soaking drywall, insulation and sub-floor and beams! I immediately contacted Lowes to report the problem. The next day they sent an inspector from the store to review the damage who told me that the floors would need to be pulled up and replaced. He said their insurance department would contact me and also mentioned that my issue was not the only problem they have had with these installers - really???? Several days passed and I had not heard from the store nor the insurance department. I called the store several times asking for the store manager to contact me (never heard from him) and even physically went to the store twice to try and speak to the manager (he was never there when I stopped by). Finally after almost two weeks of hearing nothing I went to the store again and spoke to someone who gave me the contact info for the Lowes Corporate Claims Department, who I ended up having to call to get the process started. Not one person from the store or the claims department ever reached out to me, even after I repeatedly requested them to contact me. What an unbelievable lack of customer service or remorse for what their representatives did to my home! Finally I was assigned to a claims representative who told me to get quotes for the repairs. It became my responsibility to identify companies who I could get quotes from and schedule the work to be completed. I spent countless hours of my own time resolving the problems that Lowe's created and I mentioned this to the claims adjuster who said Lowes would only pay for the actual repairs and not any compensation for my trouble. She told me that once the claim was settled they would send me a gift card (which by the way I never received - why promise something like that if you have no intention of following through - it was like rubbing salt in the wound). Three months later my floors and walls were finally fixed!!! I was more than patient and even understand that things happen. What bothered me most was the complete apathy and lack of responsiveness Lowes seemed to have towards the situation. If the store manager had bothered to call me to apologize I think I would feel different. Just think - something that simple could have changed the way I feel about Lowes, but instead I will NEVER under any circumstances give Lowes any business in the future. I also happen to work in real estate and used to give a Lowes gift card as a closing gift to my clients - so not only did they lose me as a customer, I no longer send my clients there. SHAME ON YOU LOWES, SHAME ON YOU!!!!
Description of Work: I had purchased a washing machine and dryer and the complete idiots from Lowes that installed it put the drainage hose for the washing machine into the wrong hole in the laundry room (one hole clearly went to a plumbing pipe and was where "they removed" the hose from the previous machine I had in place, and the second hole clearly just went into the wall and down to the basement).

Lowe's did the contracting and they outsourced a second party. The guys that showed up were contracted by Lowe's. It was good and it worked out okay but I was concerned. I had some issues with the sub-contractors with scheduling but once they got that off cleared out everything worked out. There was miscommunication between Lowe's and sub-contractors couple of times as to when the materials were ready and when it wasn't ready. The workers were very good. The guy in the store at Lowe's was very helpful too and the sub-contractors were good too but it was just issues with the two in communication as the schedule to install, parts weren't ready then they didn't understand that. They didn't understand what was going on with the actual job. So once everything got cleared out then it was fine but then it worked out. I probably won't go with Lowe's and would go directly with the sub-contractors as I typically do.

Cost includes materials (door, subflooring, kickboard), and installation (by Mark Adair Contracting; see separate report). We bought the Pella Designer Series 750 Sliding French door. Ryan Spayde's fine assistance helped us in picking out options (such as interior blinds, grille, and hardware), and he carefully wrote up our selections to assure that Pella made the door to our specifications. While we were making decisions, Ryan made a couple of calls to the installer to get answers about any questions we had, and the result turned out very well.

In the spring of 2010, I purchased a suite of new appliances from Lowe's. The Frigidaire refrigerator included in these appliances was defective and ruined my hardwood flooring. Lowe's did all they could, and helped me deal with Frigidaire. As a replacement refrigerator, Lowe's upgraded me to a newly manufactured Samsung refrigerator. 10 months later, that refrigerator quick working on Memorial Day, 2011, spoiling hundreds of dollars of food and forcing us to be without a refrigerator for over three weeks while waiting for an available appointment with authorized repair company. Samsung finally authorized removal of this refrigerator, but would not replace it (they would only authorize a credit in the amount paid for the original, defective Frigidaire). Lowe's stepped in, and provided a swap of the same Samsung model. Samsung initially agreed to pay for all of the spoiled food, for which I had the itemized receipt (we had stocked the refrigerator and freezer for the holiday weekend less than two days prior to the refrigerator breaking down), but then refused. I attempted to work through Samsung's Executive Customer Service department directly for over two months prior to seeking assistance. I contacted Angie's List , and was told that I couldn't put Samsung in their "Penalty Box", and could only write the complaint against Lowe's, being the retailer for Samsung's products. As Lowe's has done their best deal with the defective, substandard products manufactured by both Frigidaire and Samsung, I certainly did not want to do this. I contacted Lowe's customer service, provided them with the same information that I gave to Angie's List, and they went to work with Samsung. Greg was the Lowe's customer service representative I dealt with, and he was communicative and persistent. I received a call from Samsung this morning saying that they were finally sending the reimbursement for the spoiled food and Lowe's was sending a $50 gift card. If it were not for Lowe's intervening, I would have had to file a small claims suit against Samsung (not a good situation for anyone!). Samsung showed me that they care nothing for their individual customers, they do not care about "doing the right thing," and I will never purchase another product from them. Lowe's, although the retailer for two, very poor appliances, stood behind these defective products when the manufacturers would not. I will, conversely, continue to be a loyal customer of theirs as they've earned my trust as well as my business.

Their selection of cabinetry was good. The sub contractors that they used were good. The original Lowes company measurement of the kitchen was in the air and so we had a five week delay as we had to have two cabinets remade. I think they can improve on doing their measurements right when they do the design work and having the contractors re-measure to check if anyone made a mistake before they start installing them. I had to shut down the contract and get a general contractor. They were punctual they had the manufacturer deliver it on time but it was a problem with the sub contractor. I thought they were pretty professional and so was the staff.

The experience that I had with them was terrible and I would not use them again. The contractors that they had here to do the work were great when they were here but they would come and tell me in every 15 minutes that they had got scheduled for different job and they would leave. Then they would come back at 8'o clock in the night and they would work till 1' o clock in the morning. I have 2 small kids and my husband was out of town so I didn't want the carpet installers with me in the morning. They were great when they worked but it was just difficult getting them here to work. We did entire house recarpeting and it was around 4000sqft and it was a huge job. There were two guys and they would stay for an hour and they would leave to go do another job. They would never finish one room before they started another. So the whole house was ripped up for three weeks. The install guys were great but the installers were terrible. They left the entire house of carpet in my garage and they never took it with them. I had to bag it up individually after calling them fourteen times. We were ready to put our house under market and they left all the scrap and everything in our garage and just walked away. So I had to tear it up with knife and bag it up and put it in trash bag all by myself. 4000sqft of carpet was padding so their responsiveness was terrible because I was calling them and saying to get their stuff and they didn't take it. They also kept asking me extra money. The two guys used to text me and they used to ask me whether I had given any money and it was just bad experience.

They are great, and it is a great place to go to. My husband had tripped and broken the toilet bowl actually. The guy who did the installation was great, and he did a great job. They leveled it all out because they said when the house was built the neck was not put in evenly. I paid $350 for the screen door. The guy showed me how to clean the retractable door. They called the next day to ask if everything was okay. All my appliances are of a color that is hard to find. Since I moved here, I have had the worst luck with appliances. They got me a dishwasher, but when they had it delivered to the store, they said it had a dent or something in the back of it. They did not deliver that machine. They said that they were going to find me another one, and because they had to wait a little longer, they took another 10% off the price. I would rate them highly.

We were very satisfied with the experience. I was anticipating a few nicks around the baseboards, which we had just painted. But we didn't find a single one after the carpet was installed, so we were especially pleased about that.

We got several estimates before deciding on Lowes. We were shocked to find out from one estimate that resurfacing the cabinets was MORE expensive than entirely new cabinets. We selected them for best price and because we liked their selection of cabinets and an architect friend recommended them. We also had a really good experience with their kitchen designer, Tom Kirk. Tom did several designs of the kitchen until we were satisfied. This design service is free of charge! The cabinets were ordered and took several weeks to arrive. The actual installation of the cabinets took several days. The granite counters had to be custom measured after the cabinets were installed. About 3 weeks after the cabinets were installed and the measurements were taken for the granite (and we selected our granite), the granite counters were installed. The installers were all very professional and wonderful to work with. The work was done so neatly. We had so many warnings about dust in the house and we were advised to put plastic over the kitchen doors. It really wasn't necessary as the installers did all cutting outside in our garage and they vacuumed up any messes they did make, which were minimal. I was impressed by how little mess there actually was. The work is beautiful and we love our new kitchen.
