I called when I heard a woodpecker drilling a hole in the wood trim of my house. Chris came that same morning and covered the area with a metal plate. He was fast and professional.

I noticed a bat in the living room. I called several companies, but this was a Saturday afternoon, and no one picked up. I left a message with each company, but this was the only company that called me back. They came to the house shortly after they called. Removal was very quick, because of the expertise of the individual.

After moving into a new house, we found that we had a few bats using our attic space. We called two other companies that indicated that they did bat removal/abatement. One did not even go into the attic to look and another came back with a $15,000 estimate (multi fold higher than the other estimates.) Chris was recommended to us by another provider and was responsive, honest and reasonable. He educated us about our situation and provided options as to how to proceed. He worked around our schedule and even came out at 7:30 am on a Saturday morning. Our attic was secured and we were given peace of mind. I would definitely use Creature Catchers again if we happen to need such services! Thanks!

We had a bat in our bedroom late on a Saturday night. We called several so-called "24-hour" pest numbers. Creature Catchers was the first and only one to respond. They sent out a catcher early Sunday morning and he caught the animal in about 10 seconds. He had a container with him to preserve the bat until it could be released in an appropriate area. Bats are protected and must be handled humanely. Releasing one into sub-freezing temperatures alone would certainly prove fatal. Creature Catchers was planning to introduce the bat to a known colony where it would survive. Yes, it is a bit expensive, but it is peace of mind to have it taken care of by a professional. I have neither the reflexes or nor eyesight to try that on my own.

Chris came out the same day I called and set live traps. He came the next day to get the squirrel out of the trap and checked the gender of the squirrel (to determine if babies might also be nesting). After a few days during which no other squirrels were caught, he returned and picked up the traps and put a temporary closure over the hole. Chris made the process as painless as possible (for me and hopefully for the squirrel).

We have skunks in the community. The rules in the State of Ohio says you can't trap them relocate them. We use to have the wildlife officers come out and relocate them, but then they said they couldn't do it any longer. He is so honest, he said it is more cost effective to seal off the areas they could get in and they will eventually move on. He said he would have to set ten traps and we would have to check them everyday, so it was better to do the sealing off.

Chris came out the same day I called. He performed the inspection and we agreed on a resolution. I appreciate his promptness and professionalism. I would use him again.

I had been dealing with animal droppings on my front covered porch for a over 2 years and couldn't figure out what it was. I tried several methods that were recommended on the market but none were successful partly because I wasn't sure what type of animal it was. I did some research on the web and came realize that it maybe a bat. This why I hired Creature Catchers of Columbus to confirm this and help me to get rid of the problem. They came out and identified that the droppings were from a bat and that it was a single bat, I had no colony of them. They recommended spraying the bat with water because bats don't like water. Can you imagine staying up all night waiting on a bat and getting a water hose to spray it. This seemed totally impossible since bats come at night and their hearing is excellent so trying to come upon a bat at night with a water hose would be next to impossible. That was there suggestion and other than that I was left to figure out how to get rid of it myself. I went online and discovered that bats do not like moth balls. So I hung moth balls around the porch area and so far as of this date no more bat. I felt the company was too expensive for what I got from them and after they left I still had the problem. Save your money!

Critter control came and performed the evaluation, documented all necessary items as well as suggested preventative measures. 5 Squirrels were removed, the hole was sealed and all accesses via vents and fans were covered. This process took approximately 1 month. Then they restored to attic by removing all damaged insulation, applied a disinfectant/sanitizer and reinsulated the attic. The team for the attic restoration was in at 7am and left at 5pm. They did a fantastic job, endured the heat of the attic and were very professional. We are not set up on a maintenance schedule to help avoid this disaster from occurring again. Critter Control is highly recommended. I priced several companies and they were very competitively priced.

Chris is friendly and knowledgeable. He will arrive when promised. We ended up trapping 7 raccoons (including 4 babies). It cost $170 for set up and $515 to trap 7 raccoons. We were disappointed that we didn't receive a discount since 3 babies were caught in one trap and the other baby walked into a trap he was setting up.

They rectified the problem. Most companies don't look for the source. They completely solved our problem.

Overall I thought Chris did a nice job. Even though I know others have noted that all he did was inspect, I felt that this was what we had contacted him for. He responded immediately, identified the problem and recommended solutions-which was exactly what I needed. We can move forward and address the problem accordingly. He was up front about the cost, and what the inspection would entail. I would recommend.

Not knowing exactly how big the problem was, I called Creature Catchers to see if they would come out for an "estimate." At that time, Chris explained that there were no 'estimates' and that he did what he referred to as an "inspection" that would be $95 plus tax, and based on the damage, we would go from their in terms of removal/costs, etc. I asked him if he also fixed the bird holes, and, he said yes. He arrived on time. When he went up into the attic, he basically climbed up on a short ladder, stuck his head in through the opening, peered around, never got up into the attic, told us he saw the hole that a bird had made, and that there were only a few pieces of grass in there that had been dragged in by the bird. He did not see any birds or nests or excrement. After he came down, he did not remove the debris. He also informed me that I would need to get the hole repaired, and then gave me the card of a repairmen he recommended (Fracasso?). This took place in about 5-10 minutes. He then walked around the outside of our house to show us areas where there may be issues - trees that needed trimmed back, gutters that we would need to keep cleared out, etc....typical things that any homeowner would know. I guess this was the "inspection" - which, had nothing to do with the original issue I called him about! He spent more time discussing general issues than working on my bird issue, AND, he actually told my husband that we basically wouldn't have needed to call him out at all!! So, for 10 minutes worth of work, we did NOT get the hole repaired OR even the debris removed, but we got a $101.41 bill handed to us after he spent more time "walking around our house to 'inspect' it." After a full-service call (and full costs!), he could have at least gotten up into the attic to remove the debris. I felt like we were ripped off after he left, and felt like a full service call was not fair. And further, the "house inspection" was really a way to make the homeowner feel like the time that Creature Catchers spent was justified. I would NOT recommend this contractor.

The company could not solve my problem of inner-yard gangs of roving chipmunks that tunneled under the patio bricks, causing it to sink. The chipmunks repeatedly dug up to 6 holes in a flower bed, upending flowers and covering the walkway with soil. One even climbed up the stucco houose wall and stayed hanging spread-eagle at the top by the gutters. The Critter Catcher staff could not solve my problem because, by law, they are prohibited from catching/killing such wildlife. I ended up catching and removing 17 chipmunks, who no longer terrorize the yard.....for now.......

He showed up right on time. It was an extremely hot day and he said due to the heat there would be nothing alive in the attic. He walked around the house and found where the animal was getting into the attic. He called someone to fix it ASAP (Fracasso Exterior Experts - Whom never called us back - They must not need the business). He charged us a $95 "Inspection Fee" for walking around our house for 10 minutes. He didn't even peek in the attic. For $95 I felt really ripped off when he left.

This is the one to call. A bat decided to perch on my front porch window frame. It was outside the house, thank goodness, but still scary and something that I wanted a professional to remove asap. Also, the price is the same whether it was outside or inside of the house so that's also good to know for customers. I called Creature Catchers of Columbus, spoke to the owner, Chris Ruccio, and within about 10 minutes, he came to my house, removed the bat, and it was a done deal. It was relief not to have to wonder if that bat was outside on my front porch window. The price was excellent and fare - $95.00 + tax. Great job Creature Catchers! I liked the fact that they came quickly. They were very prompt on the removal of the animals. I almost didn't realize they were there.

When in the process of purchasing a new home, a raccoon latrine was found in the attic by our home inspector. We needed to get an idea of how much to adjust our offer by. Creature Catchers was the only company who answered their phone on a Saturday. They gave me a very rough estimate based on a description of the issue so that we were able to negotiate with the sellers. After purchasing the home we had Creature Catchers remove the raccoon latrine and affected insulation. The work came in well under the original estimate since the latrine was not active and no animals needed removed from our attic.
