Description of Work: Replaced a cable on my laptop that was connected to my LCD screen. The supplier of the part initially provided the wrong one, so there was a few days delay in getting the repair completed, but the delay was not caused by BRM. The cost was very reasonable and the staff was competent and friendly.

He first diagnosed it in all the ways I had already tried (which were good ways, I just happen to know that much about computers too). He found the right part, and replaced it as expected. He even went a little above and beyond by putting in shims to help the processor not over heat as easily (apparently an identified problem with this model family). I picked it up and was happy with that.
Description of Work: Replaced Motherboard in my HP touchsmart tx2510us. Also put in shims to help offset overheating problem.

Description of Work: I had a problem with my desktop. They diagnosed the problem, fixed it and returned it in about 2 days. The receptionist and the repair guy were very friendly and I trusted them completely.

+ -1 moreWhenever we call with a concern, they are quick to respond, schedule the work and complete the work efficiently and without mistakes.
Description of Work: We have used this company several times for many computer repairs at my office. They have installed new computers for us that we had purchased and connected all of our software and network connections for us. They have "cleaned up" and added memory to older computers and have helped us to find refurbished computers with increased memory to help keep costs down for updating all of the computers in our office. They have always been happy to give advice too on what types of computer equipment to buy and where to find the best price when new equipment was needed. Ben, the owner, is friendly, helpful and quick to respond when we have left messages or sent emails to him. The price is very fair for the value of the work and they are very helpful in finding affordable ways to repair your existing equipment. We will definitely plan to use them in the future.

+ -1 moreMy computer crashed and wouldn't start up, so I needed someone to look at it and possibly repair it or retrieve my data. BRM Laptop Repair is located close to my house, so I decided to call them. I left them a voicemail with my name and phone number on the morning of Monday, April 11, 2011 asking them to call me back as soon as possible. Today is Friday, April 15th, and I still haven't heard back from them. At this point, even if they called me back, I wouldn't hire them. This is why I rated them an F in responsiveness and an F overall. I hope other people have a better experience with them.
