Peterman Plumbing & Heating Inc

AWHR sent Peterman Plumbing & Heating Inc to perform the repair. They were responsive and called within 30 minutes to set appointment. The work however, is unacceptable because when they said they'd take care of the malfunctioning programmable box, I thought they meant they would repair/replace it, but they removed it! They also set our water temperature too high - I tested it coming out of our kitchen faucet at 145 degrees, even though there is a sticker on the front of the water heater indicating dangers in setting the temperature higher than 125. Peterman never mentioned even changing the water temperature - we found out quickly on our own. I called AWHR again today to get Peterman back to reset the water temperature to a safe temperature - two hours later I have not yet heard from them. Very disappointed with AWHR and Peterman Plumbing & Heating Inc - would NOT recommend!

Techs were late to site . wanted to charge more to do more work that was unnecessary . then instead of having the customers back they went to the plumbing inspector and tattled on work that was done before the building became ours. couldn't provide a bill of service. demand payment before they give us a copy of the scope results. then wrote a nasty letter to us after finally providing a bid on the job that was 3 times the price of another company. initially they refused to even quote it until they scoped where as the other company already had an estimate in our hands.

first visit the repairmen identified the problem but coudn't get repacement hose second visit: hose replaced but appeared too short so that water ran down hose into the wall third visit : plummer came and discovered that hose was tangled in wall and untangled it my problems were: peterman charged labor time for transit time - twice. this was $140 for the 2 visits. I live 18 miles from Dover and they charged an hour of labor time each visit the second concern was that the second visit did not fix the problem and required a third visit. We had these folks help us in the remote past and had no problems at that time. Now however I am uncomfortable with service and charges

Mark, the project manager, was late for the very first appointment for him to prepare the original quote. (10:00 on a week-day) I called the office to be sure he was showing up. I want to completely gut and remodel my bathroom. I had to call and send an e-mail to get the written quote which took appx. 2 weeks longer than promised. I asked for references of residential remodeling jobs to check with other customers as to quality of work and if time frame was satisfactory. Spending over $6000 is a big deal to me! I sent e-mails a week to 10 days apart for some references (because I received no response to the first one). Finally had an e-mail back from Mark, project manager, to look on website for jobs completed.......all I saw were pictures of the outside of businesses where Peterman had done plumbing, heating or cooling projects. Nothing about RESIDENTIAL or remodeling. No pictures or testimonials, no nothing. Would I recommend them to do remodeling of homes? NO!

Plumber called before coming. Was on time and did the job in less than an hour. Had to cut an access in closet that is behind tub area and replace a cartridge in the valve. It works beautifully now
