He was unable to come out that day and we needed the work done that ASAP. He was very nice and professional on the phone and he wanted to help but he a full schedule and I understand that. He said he could get there the next day but we couldn't wait. I called several repair companies with the same results. I finally got another repair person from Angie's List who had us up and running before lunch.

Excellent response time. Part had to be ordered, but still had it fixed the same day.

Work was done on fine and professionally. Serviceman was very pleasant.

I was very satisfied with the outcome and was glad the owner was looking out for his customers and not just trying to make money.

I sent an email on Angie's List on 6/8/16 in the evening but as of 6/10/16 at 9:45am there was no response. I used another vendor. I don't know if the The Appliance Guy checks Angie's List email.

The Appliance Guy team is my trusted go-to contact when something breaks. In this case my disposal flooded the night before flying out of town. I contacted Andrew and while I was gone he worked to secure a proper new model and was able to come by and replace the disposal as soon as I returned home. He tested everything by filling both sinks and the dishwasher - enduring no leaks. Mission accompanied! Thanks to his diligence and hard work, we were able to get back to using our kitchen sinks and dishwasher with no downtime. When two of the burners on our Gaggenau gas cook-top failed, I called the appliance service company we've engaged for several years for help in determining whether the problem was fixable, fearing we might have to replace what has otherwise been a maintenance-free marvel for over 20 years. The owner of the company advised he was not qualified to work on this German-made appliance, stating "I wouldn't know where to start". He told me that the only specialist he felt comfortable in recommending was The Appliance Guy, which he'd referred many of his customers to over the years. I immediately phoned the company and described my issue with owner Andrew Matheny. He said he had a good idea of what the problem might be and was prepared to walk me through it in the belief I might be able to fix it myself, if his suspicions proved right. I told him I was totally inept when it came to fixing anything, much less an appliance that had the potential of blowing up if my ineptitude was put to the test. He advised that he could come to my home within the next two hours and, on the way, would consult with Gaggenau for any insight they might provide. He also alerted me that the cost of a service call was $95.00. When he arrived (in less than the 2 hours he promised), he opened the unit and confirmed that the problem was exactly what he suspected and, alas, that it was fixable without the need for any new parts. In no time at all, he had both burners working perfectly again. Andrew is an extremely honest and highly knowledgeable technician. I would call him an Appliance-Meister. It is rare, and extremely satisfying, to meet and do business with a company which has built its business on integrity, fair pricing and quality workmanship. He has earned my trust and will be the person I turn to for all our future appliance service needs.

I first called the Appliance Guy around the Christmas holiday in response to a recall notice I had received for my Bosch dishwasher. I had bought the dishwasher from Sears. The owner promptly called back and asked for relevant information from the recall notice. He ordered the part. He called me once the part was in (took about a week or so). On 1/4/16 I scheduled an appointment for 1/6/16. They provided excellent service - prompt and efficient. The repairman needed to pull out the dishwasher to replace the defective part. He cleaned up his work area. It was a very good experience from a customer perspective. I would definitely use this company again.

Prompt, professional, courteous and informational. Expensive fix, but not pushy about it. Even gave advice on a refrigerator water filter, which I greatly appreciated. Andrew totally knows his stuff and delivers a superb service.

Our 4.5 year-old Bosch dishwasher started malfunctioning (horrible streaking on glasswear, dishes not getting clean). I called The Appliance Guy on Jan. 4th, and they were able to come out on the 5th. The Technician checked all of the mechanics of the machine and found that it was working without malfunction. After he called the tech support phone for Bosch dishwashers, he felt certain that this was a rinse-aid and detergent issue. He made recommendations for different products and recommended using white vinegar in the machine to cure the streaking. He did not recommend spending money on any parts, which I greatly appreciated. I made the changes he recommended, and the problem was fixed! The technician (Mark) was punctual, professional, and pleasant. I will definitely use this company again.

We had an issue with the oven not working a couple days before we were having family over for Christmas. They went above and beyond to make a same day appointment. They fixed the problem and advised us about timing of eventual oven replacement.

The Appliance Guy was awesome! Returned my call within just a few minutes and provided me with the information I needed to get my ASKO dishwasher back in order. My wife had talked with another company and they suggested to just replace it (I assume because the brand is not as common and may be less convenient to get parts for or work on), but that wasn't really what we wanted to do as it just needs the door latch repaired/adjusted. The Appliance Guy pointed us in the right direction and if we do end up needing to replace it, we'll be calling him! Thanks again!

Called for a dishwasher repair on a unit that is 15 years old ! He was amazing , gave me many options and was honest about the cost of the repair and kit compared to the age of my unit and how other things could go wrong. Appreciated him being honest and not just trying to get the job . in essence he spent his time talking to me and didn't make a dime, as I am off to purchase a new dishwasher .

Andrew is an outstanding service provider - responsive, reliable and affordable. I called late last week about my broken dishwasher door spring and he was able to come out right away today to fix it. He showed me the new parts, even made my dishwasher level when he returned it under the counter (it had been 'off' kilter). He goes above and beyond in his work, knows his stuff and is fully trustworthy. I'm a customer for life! Highly recommended.

The appliance manufacturer referred our service issue to Andrew. I gave him a call and he actually answered the phone. That was the first surprise. I explained the problem and gave him all the details, model #, serial #, etc. When I gave him our address he mentioned that our location was outside of his service area. Then, instead of telling me to call someone else, he said he would contact the manufacturer, find out what the problem was and either tell me how to fix it our who I could call to get the problem fixed. That was the second surprise. Within two hours Andrew called me back and told me how to fix the problem. I did what Andrew said to do and the problem was resolved. Surprise number three. Andrew would not have had to do any of this because of the service area problem. But, he did it anyway and never charged me for his time. It's unfortunate that I am not located in Andrew's service area because I would most definitely use him for appliance repair in the future. Well done, Andrew!

Very quick and thorough when diagnosing and correcting the problem. He waited 10 -15 minutes after installation was complete to watch for temperature changes and make sure fan was working properly. I would describe him as very competent, friendly and honest. He arrived when he said he would and there were no hassles related to scheduling. In fact, he was very considerate of my time. I will definitely use The Appliance Guy again if anything else breaks down.

Our 15 year old Maytag dryer stopped working on Thursday. We sent emails to multiple Angie's list providers and Andrew was the first to respond at 6:30AM on Friday. He was able to come out on Friday, fixed our dryer with parts he had on his truck and was on his way. This was the perfect repair experience with fast, professional and courteous service. If we need an appliance repaired in the future, there is only one call we need to make.

This guy is great. Not only very friendly and personable, he went above and beyond to fix my old dryer. Would not hesitate to call him in the future.

I called Andrew on Tuesday and left a message he responded to my message within an hour. We discussed my dryer that was not working. Andrew gave me the costs of the service call and roughly what I was looking at to fix it. There was no guarantee but he gave me a range so I could decide whether to put the $ towards a new dryer. I decided to go with the fixing vs replacing. Andrew gave me a time frame and arrived within the first 1/2hour- calling on his way giving me 20" notice. He fixed my dryer while at all times being professional and courteous. He explained what he found and his repair and was on his way.

We had a great experience! Andrew was prompt and was able to figure out what was wrong with our dishwasher and repair it quickly. I will most definitely be recommending him to my friends. Very polite and professional.

This was a great experience from start to finish. Our dishwasher stopped working mid-cycle, creating quite the inconvenience for a household of 6. Andrew came out for a service call two days later and quickly assessed the problem. He took the time to explain the issue and provided an estimate of the cost. As we talked things over, my daughter came into the room and shared her excitement at finding several new quarters with states she hadn't yet collected (she is collecting all 50 states). Without missing a beat, Andrew reached into his pocket and gave my daughter 2 quarters for her collection (states she didn't have). This act of genuine kindness on top of the professionalism and good natured attitude Andrew displayed throughout the service call ensured that I would not only do business with him for that service call, but for any other needs we have in the future. He promptly fixed our dishwasher and secured a loyal customer in the process. I highly recommend!

I had started to take the machine apart on my own but quickly realized I was over my head. He complimented me on my willingness to try and then also on knowing when to stop. He also took time to compliment my newborn twin sons and give my dogs a pat on the head. Overall one of the best experiences I have with a any service technician anywhere.

He analyzed out dishwasher and found what part was broken. He verified that it was outside of the warranty period. Then, he informed us that it was no worth replacing so we bought an new one, which in no way was self-serving to himself since he did not sell the products.
