Needed heating element replaced on an electric stove. Was quoted a price much higher than what was commensurate with the amount of work required according to the research I had already done. I questioned the price, noting that there was already a trip fee associated with the repair — shouldn’t the price be based on some sort of per hour labor charge? Andrew got grumpy with me and said the price was what it was. I declined his services and proceeded to perform the repair on my own precisely how I researched it was to be done — for pennies on the dollar! I was confident in my research and abilities, I was just willing to hire a professional to do the work in case there were any unexpected findings. Also, I wanted to support a local business, but not if it comes with price gouging. Not recommended!

After looking at the cooktop, Andrew said that we could order a new one, or he would try to repair the old one. Fortunately, parts were available and he was able to repair it. He pointed out that the quality of older products is sometimes better than new ones. We are pleased with our decision and with Andrew’s work.

Called twice about our freezer with NO return call ALL day! Our food was thawing out and we were frantically trying to get help. Fortunately a professional, kind small appliance business owner called us back within a couple hours and walked us through a possible troubleshooting tutorial to tie us over since he is booked for two weeks. Thank you so much Brian Roush Appliance in Marysville, Ohio! Our son also was blown off by Appliance Guy who never returned phone calls and then never showed up for a scheduled appointment! No more! You lost all of our future business! Bye!!!

GREAT! We had some prior contact with him when we had some trouble with a Bosh dishwasher--an issue he resolved over the phone at NO charge! This time he returned our call the next day, arrived on time, took care of the issue (one that is an inherent problem with KitchenAid-a defect they know about but choose not to correct and the part was the biggest part of the repair), and was very friendly and pleasant to deal with. I HIGHLY recommend Andrew for appliance repair.

He tried to remove the dishwasher, and would have removed and reinstalled had it not been for my hardwood floor blocking it. A week later, my floor guy came and removed boards and - to be helpful - pulled out and disconnected the dishwasher. Andrew came back, did the recall repair but refused to push the dishwasher back in. Blamed it on Bosch and procedures and insurance claims. Openly agreed that he was fully capable of reinstalling it. Would have taken him 5 minutes. I asked him to call his Bosch rep and ask for approval. He called, but WOULD NOT ask for approval and WOULD NOT let me speak with the rep. He WOULD NOT wait while I called Bosch's customer service line. He left, with my unusable dishwasher sitting in the middle of my kitchen. Everyone is covering their behinds, with no regard or concern for THE CUSTOMER. Thoroughly disgusting.

Helped us identify a quick fix we could do ourselves to save us money. Honest, helpful, and went out of his way to find us all the info we needed.

I called a few other service providers from the List but no one was comfortable working on this type of oven. One of them recommended The Appliance Guy. I called him and he responded right away, and then contacted Bosch, gave me some basic reset instructions on the phone, which worked right away. I offered to pay him, but he refused. I'll definitely call him next time I need any service

Andrew was prompt, polite, insightful and honest. He took the time to explain the situation and our options. He offered his professional opinion on my options when asked even if it meant less money for him. While we are choosing to replace the entire machine instead of fixing it, we asked him to look at our dryer too although it is still working although less efficiently. He did find an issue with it (coils going bad) and again offered the same type of advice so we could make an informed decision. We had him replace the coils as we believe the dryer has a long potential life.

Andrew was very responsive to my initial call to him requesting service. A date/time was agreed to and he was very punctual, calling ahead of time before he arrived. We discussed my concerns that both ovens were not at the correct temperature (too low) at the time the preheat buzzer went off and that they just seemed to run low when I cooked in them. Andrew ran a timed test in both ovens noting when they were turned on, what the temperature was at the time the preheat signal when off and then recording the temperature at 10 minute intervals afterward. He provided us an explanation of how ovens determine temperature (air vs. mass) and why I might be seeing a lower temperature at first. He made some recommendations about wait times when preheating the oven and adjusted the oven thermostat. He was very generous with his time explaining what he was doing and why and then making sure we were knowledgeable about making future adjustments to the oven if needed. As a bonus, he also gave us some tips on our front-loading washing machine when I mentioned that we continued to battle the musty smell even with regular sanitizing and leaving the door open. Andrew was great. Wouldn't hesitate to call him again for any issues we had with appliances or advice on new ones.

To fix the washer would have been too expensive, replacement was recommended, which we did.

The Appliance Guy validated the issue via the phone with me who did some diagnosing via Bosch support and other web sites; order the part; scheduled a visit; and fixed it very quickly and efficiently.

He was prompt, recommended that we replace rather than repair although that would reduce his fees, and gave good advice to keep problem from recurring. Very professional!

Overall a great experience. I left a message over the weekend and he called back promptly on Monday morning. By Tuesday afternoon part was delivered and installed. Super nice guy and would highly recommend. I put a B for price only cause it was expensive- not his issue as the part was expensive.

Great. Andrew is a great guy. He is professional, reasonably priced and very thorough. He gives great advice and doesn't try to sell you something you don't need I have used him for several repairs over the years and so has my daughter. I would highly recommend.

Called Monday morning at 8am and he was at the property diagnosing the problem before 10am. Ordered the part and had problem solved by 10am the next day. Fast and professional. Can't be beat. Thank you!

Wonderful! Andrew was on time, gave us tips on checking the hinges before the warranty runs out, and was generally very easy to work with.

Andrew was very professional and honest. He was prompt and showed up during the time window I was given. He made sure to take time to get as much information about the appliance issue ahead of time so he knew what he would be dealing with. He had parts that were needed on his truck. He also checked in a couple weeks later to make sure everything was still ok! I would definitely recommend Appliance Guy!

He was able to identify the problems fairly quickly. It was a front-load washer, and the spindles that allow the drum to spin were broken, causing the drum to be misaligned, which cause both the loud grinding noise when it tried to spin and also rubbed a hole in the rubber boot that goes around the door (which caused the leaking). Unfortunately, the parts that would be required to fix everything were no longer available, so there was nothing we could do. (Even if the parts were available, the total cost of repair would be almost as much as a new washing machine.) We paid the service fee for the visit, but there was nothing else we could do.
