Sewell Irrigation & Drainage

Sewell installed a full irrigation system last fall. Part of the installation service is 3 years of maintenance (including turning the system on in the spring, and winterizing in the fall). They have not responded or handled this service. Secondly, my neighbors system had damage that was caused during my installation. While this was simply an accident, I contacted Sewell over 20+ times via email/voicemail to allow Sewell the chance to fix right away in May 2019, but these calls have gone unanswered. This cost me $478 out of pocket. Finally, I had a large increase to my water bill. In investigating, the City of Columbus did not have the irrigation system / back flow unit on record (which is Sewell's responsibility to file) and therefore I have been over paying my water bill for the last year. Overall the installation was fine, but ever since, there has been no response to any of the services they sold as part of a new system (that cost $4,550), nor basic customer response to my issues that needed attention. I went with their company based on referrals and I love to support local small businesses, however I have had a very poor experience.

Mark Sewell and his team were excellent! Very responsive from initial quote through job completion. Work was done as promised, on time, and with care. Price was reasonable. Would definitely recommend!

Mark and David are a great team. I got six quotes and they were at the lesser expensive side of them. Mark was always very upfront about timing of the installation and what the system/costs would look like. They did a fabulous job of install and were very mindful of taking care of the existing lawn. Mark did a great job explaining the system and where they were placing the heads/rotors. David did a great job of explaining the Smart Controller and how to set up the system. He was very responsive and consultative. I would highly recommend this company (great father and son duo).

Mark and his crew did a fantastic job! Their time and attention to detail was top-notch! All equipment was cleaned up at the end of each day and all grass was replaced perfectly after the lines were installed. The system was installed with care and his team took the time to make sure both my husband and I knew how to work the system before they left. Sewell’s guys were great and the warranty they offer is a big incentive too. I would highly recommend.

We couldn't have been more happy with the work provided by this family owned business. Starting from the beginning, phone calls and emails were always replied promptly! The father and sons were very easy to talk to and answered any questions we had without making us feel rushed. It took us 6 weeks to get our system put in and we were fine with the wait. We figured they were busy because of their great work. It took them a day and half to complete the job with 5 hardworking guys. They were very also careful in replacing the grass that was dug to put in the pipes. Their quote was reasonable and the same as another competitor, but lower than another company that seems to be more known in my area. Overall, we are very happy with the work and the sprinklers hit every inch of our yard. We are loving our green grass!!!

We truly believe this is one of the best improvements we have ever made to our home. We always had standing water in our backyard just off our patio. When Mark came to give us an estimate, he spent a lot of time looking at just how to do the project and really worked with our needs. They showed up on time and did an excellent job of putting the tile in while not destroying anything else on the property. We have waited almost a year to review the work because we wanted to see how it worked thru the various seasons. It has drained off even the largest rain falls quickly and efficiently to the street. Even though you can't actually see anything for the money we spent, we now have a useable back yard. We are extremely happy and would highly recommend Sewell to anyone. We also use Sewell for our irrigation start up and winterization as well as back flow testing. We are happy with the prices they charge for the work they do and would recommend them in these areas as well. When you call them, you usually have to leave a message but they always get back to you in a timely manner.

The service went very well. There was weather issues and they kept in communication. They informed us of any changes with scheduling and came as soon as there was a break in the weather. They were very professional.

Sewell installed our irrigation system 20 years ago, and we have used them for service ever since. Over the years we've add zones, and replaced broken sprinkler heads. At times we've had to call Sewell for emergency services and they've always been prompt, professional and courteous. The past couple of years we've also used them to aerate our lawn. We've recommended them to friends in the past and will continue to do so.

Sewell is always on-time, friendly, trustworthy, and efficient. David began startup and recommended replacement on 14 heads. He explained cause and future problems if not replaced. We have used Sewell in Dublin and Powell with over 5 years of great service! Great job as always!

Everything was great. They arrived when scheduled and took care of everything in a short time. They installed the system originally about 10 years ago and have maintained it since then. They are always courteous and professional.
