Julie's Mover's

I am the type of person who likes to read reviews before I choose a company to perform a service, and a whole house move is not an easy job, I wanted people to help us that would take good care of our things, and that we felt comfortable with. I did not know where to begin except for with the bigger companies. After getting quotes from three of the major moving companies, I could not believe the prices they were charging to move us 5 miles away. I heard of Julie‘s movers through the Nextdoor Braumiller app, and gave her company a call. I spoke with her directly , and She gave me some information over the phone, then suggested that we schedule a free in home consultation, and came out to our house the next day. She was very professional and polite, and was very thorough when assessing our house prior to the move. She answered every question that we asked, and even gave us moving tips! She also talked about the extras including the wardrobe boxes, packing paper, etc. She came prepared with her schedule book and was able to pencil us in for the move the following week She gave us her undivided attention and said that she would have an estimate to us within 24 hours . The estimate came via email the next day, along with a personalized note from her. The estimate was very thorough. It went over everything we discussed, as well as other things about the move ( Price list for packing materials, etc) The day of the move came, and the gentlemen she sent over to help us move were prompt/on time , and very polite. They were very professional and worked very hard. They were very respectful, and made sure that our floors and our railings were covered up so they did not damage anything. The guys worked very well together as a team, and had great communication with each other. They also kept us in the loop ....with how much would fit in the truck, and how many trips it would take them to move all of our things. They packed the truck very well, making sure that our items were covered with moving blankets. No one took a smoke break or talked on their phones. They were very efficient, and worked very hard, while taking great care of our things. We paid an hourly rate, and they made every minute count! Overall our experience was a five-star experience, and we will be calling Julie’s Movers again very soon when we move again! The pricing is very reasonable, The movers worked quickly and efficiently, and we felt as if they considered our time and money valuable. The crew was very nice however I had a very expensive living room suit that had two pieces damaged and a huge hole in the wall from a leg of the sofa. It took multiple visits to get the hole repaired and was only compensated $250 for the broken chair leg and damage to the upholstery on my white tailor back living room sofa. I was very disappointed!

I cannot say enough great things about Julie's movers! Julie the owner was there the entire day to make sure things went smoothly. She also helped me pack some things that I had forgotten to pack, and she even helped me to clean my house. The movers were amazing! We have A LOT of furniture, and we moved to a house that is a 5 level split, it was very challenging to say the least, but they did such a great job moving all of our stuff. The movers were very kind and respectful and went the extra mile by helping me re arrange furniture. They moved so fast that the final price ended up being less than what Julie quoted. I highly recommend Julie's!!

The GREATEST!!!! The movers showed up on time, moved quickly and efficiently, were super professional, and just a great crew to work with! Cannot recommend them highly enough!

When another mover failed to provide the services needed, Julie got the job done. She responded overnight with a three man crew, loaded the truck on a Saturday morning, they drove 200 miles later that day, unloaded the truck, for a very reasonable charge. She was personally on site for the loading process! I wish I had hired her first.

I've hired Julie's Movers several times. They have low turnover and their workers are trustworthy and hardworking. If anything even minor goes wrong, Julie's Movers will make it right. If I move again, I'll hire them again, and highly recommend them to others.

Everything went very well. Julie and her crew did an excellent job. They were very professional and courteous.

It didn't. The armoire was too large to fit down the stairs. Julie and her two man crew worked on it for almost two hours. THey took the railing off. tried different directions. I think they knew it wasn't going to work before I did, but I wanted them to truly try. THat is the only reason I grade them down - because in my opinion they did not give it their all. I think the header of the armoire could have been removed for instance...

The movers showed up on time and were great. Very friendly and hardworking guys. They were getting paid by the hour, but they did not slow down. They got right to work. I needed large objects moved, as I had moved most of my possessions the day before. They were extremely careful with my couches and 65 inch TV. The move was in June and many other movers were unable to schedule service. Julie really helped me out with my schedule. Cannot say enough praise about these guys. They are good. I would certainly recommend their service without any reservations.

Provider did not do a walk-through prior to move and as a result was overwhelmed: not enough boxes were brought, too few employees were hired for the job, the truck was too small. I misunderstood the 'big deal' and thought the price quoted was what I would pay for the entire move but in reality I only had their services for a pre-determined number of hours after which I had to pay an hourly rate. In the end I didn't end up having all of my belongings moved and had to move many things on my own on another day. The move was terrible--read the fine print and always do a walk-through prior to hiring the moving company.

The Good: The men moving my furniture were very professional. They moved me from the 3rd floor of an apartment building on a warm and steamy day but kept going and moved quite fast. The Bad: 1) I was scheduled for an 8am move, at 8:30 I called to see when I could expect the movers to arrive, I received an apology and an explanation that she thought my scheduled time was 9. I waited until 10:30 for them to arrive. 2) I was told to expect 3 movers, only 2 showed up which caused the amount of move time and my cost to increase. When I called Julie for an explanation and maybe a small discount, I did not even get an apology, let alone a discount. 3) I planned to pay with a credit card, when I presented my card at the end of the move, the movers did not have a credit card machine and I was told to call Julie in about 15 minutes to give her my card information. When I called her, I did not receive a thank you for calling or an apology for the inconvenience, but instead was told I had interrupted her lunch. The movers were courteous and worked hard, however, the rest of the company was very unprofessional, bordering on rude.

We have moved four times over a twenty-year period -- twice cross-country and twice regionally -- and Julie's Movers provided the best move at the best price that we ever experienced. In all aspects of the move, Julie and her crew went above and beyond what was expected. I would hire them again in a minute.

I used Julie's because they gave me the best estimate. However, when she showed up, she had one more person than I had contracted for, because she said the pack would be complicated. (I moved from one 1300 sq ft condo to another 4 blocks away) The bill was higher than her estimate by more than 50%. Although she came down a good bit when I complained, I still paid 4-5 hundred dollars over her estimate. Also, her movers messed up the stairwells so much that they had to be repainted, and put a number of boxes on the wrong floors. She must have lowballed me on the estimate by a good deal to get the contract. She did repair a lamp and shade that weredamaged in the move. Thy were very rushed at the end but took their time during most of the day.

They arrived at the appropriate time at the Apartment. A quick meeting was held to go over all items which they would move and the rest I was moving myself. Once everything in the apartment was packed up and loaded into the truck, they followed me down to my new address. Julie, the owner even stopped in for a surprise visit to see how the move was progressing along. Everything was moved to their specific locations through the house. They even helped with removing a queen size sleeper sofa bed from the spare upstairs bedroom so the replacement queen bed could be moved into its space in the bedroom. Found the movers friendly and efficient especially in the moving of furnishings to their designated locations. This help me to maximizing the savings of the move.

Julie's moving was excellent. They made my move very smooth and easy. They suggested getting the wardrobes for my clothes and I highly recommend doing this. They were very professional, prompt and efficient in their job.

I would definately use their services again

Julie and her crew came and expertly packed the entire belongings of our house. They were willing to hold off packing our bedding until the second day so that we could stay in our home one more night. Boxes were labeled so that contents were easily identifiable when it was time to unload and unpack. One of the guys (Rob?) obviously has experience in packing a truck and storage unit, as he got more in those units and trucks than anyone could have. He is great at putting the puzzle pieces together and it all fit!! The guys were very professional and accommodating when unloading, taking items to the rooms that were requested. They worked together as a team and everything went smoothly. As we unpack, I am impressed at the way the dishes and glassware has been packed safely. Julie and her crew took more care with my belongings than I would have (I am a bit impatient) ! Thank you, Julie! Our home is fabulous and you made our move so stress free!

They were personable and professional. Her workers are all people who have worked with her for years, except for one young guy who was apprenticing. They moved everything with care and there were no problems. They even moved my baby grand piano, which takes particular expertise and care.

Mover arrived over an hour late; neither the men themselves of Julie call me; later she wrote a letter and said she was sorry, but the movers are not allowed to use a cell phone in the truck; really!? they couldn't pull over? or the second one, not driving, couldn't have called? they managed to call Julie but didn't call me. The cost was originally going to be an additional $26 over the coupon; changed to more than $500, making it a very expensive move. Movers were hostile in Portsmouth, demanding payment after they placed furniture in house; threatened to remove furniture from the house! It was clear from the contract that I, in Columbus, was paying. The lead mover was rough around the edges, not pleasant at all. A mirror and glass top were broken at the storage unit; Julie did not call, but had the lead mover call me; he accused me of being responsible for the breakage, which is just an out and out lie. I am not pursuing this with Julie because I have found her and the lead mover to be untruthful in their communication, but I am reporting them to you. This is not an Angie quality company.

They were great! With our Angie's list coupon, they were very well priced. The guys were punctual and fast. No complaints!

They were really good. The price was very reasonable. I would recommend them to others. They moved my piano and did a great job with that. They were careful with it. They were on time and did the move efficiently. I would use them again in the future if needed!

It went well. Had a large piece we couldn't get up the stairs, they were good sports anout delivering to an alternate location.

I didn't get a call from them until 2 weeks later.

The experience was excellent. They were excellent movers. I would highly recommend them. I would use them again.
