I recently had my home remodeled by Elite Design and Renovation and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, Anthony and his team were professional, attentive, and highly skilled. They took the time to understand my vision and offered valuable suggestions that enhanced the final outcome. The quality of their work is exceptional. The project was completed on time and within budget, which was a huge relief. Throughout the process, communication was clear, and they kept me informed of progress and any potential issues. The crew was respectful of my home and cleaned up thoroughly each day. The transformation of my space is incredible. I highly recommend Elite Design and Renovation.

Elite Design and Renovations, also known as Apex and Anthony Cousins, were life savers during a major water leak that went into bathroom, walk-in closet, bedroom and kitchen. After the drying out period, they were quick to respond, gave a fair quote and started work almost immediately. Anthony and his team were professional, extremely talented and knowledgeable. Because of their fair pricing we were able to do above and beyond the water damage repairs. Anthony built in custom made shelving in 2 bedrooms, including creating a walk-in closet in 2nd bedroom, built a coffee bar in kitchen, and did a new backsplash in kitchen. His talent is amazing and his eye for quality is perfect. Of course with all “disasters” it was terrible timing as I was having knee replacement surgery. Anthony and his team made sure nothing interfered with that, even re-installing a toilet so I wouldn’t have to walk down a hallway 😉. Anthony was always quick to respond to questions and transparent with his services. No surprises when the bill came. I highly recommend Elite Design and Renovations. I couldn’t be happier.

In July of 2014 we shopped and purchased tile and marble from The Tile Shop - Morse Road - Columbus, Ohio. There were several contractors on their referral list and we had three companies come out for estimates. We selected Elite Renovation and Design / Tony Cousins from the list because he was able to do the complete project, installation of the product, plus any and all plumbing and electrical issues. We called two of his references and received satisfactory reports before the job was started. On the first day, the crew arrived and installed floor tile in the 1/2 bath, the job was done perfect. He removed the toilet and sink installed the tile we were very pleased. Later that week the crew moved to the master bath to install the marble on the walls and floor. His crew did the demo work removing the old tile, shower doors and old tub, this is where the nightmare begins. The dust was beyond belief. The crew did nothing to keep the dust at bay. The door was left open to my wife's master closet and all her clothes, jackets and shoes were covered in dust. The entire master bedroom and grate room and kitchen was left open and not protected from the dust, totally unbelievable how inconsiderate they were of our personal belongings. The crew damaged the Jacuzzi tub while removing it, and they put parked their hand tools on the new granite counter top with no protection. they scratched the walls, trim and doors while working in the room. After all the dust and aggravation I must tell you the master bath job ended up nice. However we had to have all three floors of carpet and windows professionally cleaned after they left. The next project was the guest bathroom. The floor was put down and looks professional. The shower tile is another story. The tile workmanship is fair in comparison to the other bathrooms, the grout work looks like it was done by a person who has never done this type of work before. The grout lines were thick, and uneven. We also noticed a large crack in one of the tiles after the job was complete. The tub and shower plumbing was never complete, and we have hired another contractor to tear out his tile work upstairs and redo it, this will be costly but well worth the money. Elite offered to come back and repair the lousy workmanship but after getting other estimates both companies that came out said the grout work can't be repaired it needs totally replaced. Tony offered us a $200.00 refund which we found insulting and very unsatisfactory. I was out of town working and the owner pressured my wife to pay for the job before I got a chance to inspect the work. Very unprofessional to say the least. Tony Cousins knew darn well the work was unsatisfactory and wanted paid before I got home. I him called to express my concern about the poor tile work and received nothing but excuses from him. I could easily list a dozen other complaints against this company and the not so" Elite" job they did for us but will not spend anymore time out of my busy schedule to do so. We are sorry we didn't belong to Angie's list before hiring these guys. Had we done so we would have read other customer complaints and never hired this company. I hope this review prevents somebody else from going through the painful and expensive experience we had with this company, do yourself a favor and shop around for a more professional contractor, you will be happier in the long run.

Tony made a total of 3 visits to our home for contracted work, that still has not been completed. Day 1: Removal of wood backsplash and installation of 3 dimensional slate backsplash in our kitchen. Began installation, competed 50% of inital install of slate. Had a very large amount of waste, we purchased a 10% waste ratio from the Tile Shop on Morse Road, Tony was unable to complete inital install because they ran out of tile. We paid $15.99/ per sqft of this slate tile for a total of 60 sqft, most of which was thrown away. Tony claimed he would be back in a few days to complete the install of our backsplash (requested we purchase more of the tile during this time) and replace our sliding glass door. Tony requested a payment of $400 which we provided. We requested a copy of his liability insurance and he said he would provide it to us, but then claimed it had expired and he was unable to renew it. This was due to another customer refusing to pay him for a project he did on her home and leaving him with no money, so he was going to need a payment from us to reinstate the insurance. * During the few days between the initial installation of the slate backsplash and Tonys return we evaluated the quality of the work started. There was significant space between the tiles. The outlets were not aligned corrected so we were unable to install our outlet covers correctly and alot of our slate was broken and cracked but still installed and left unfixed. We expressed these concerns to Tony and he stated he would fix them during his return. Day 2: Returned to complete install of slate backsplash, repair existing issues with gaps, breaks, cracks and alignments. Had a helper by the name of David install our slate while Tony worked on the trim of the archway into the dining room and replacing our sliding glass door. Tony communicated with David that he was not installing the slate correctly, but yet allowed him to continue installing the slate and never had David nor himself fix the incorrectly installed slate. Tony removed our existing sliding glass door, broke our vinyl siding on our exterior and destroyed our existing wood casing and trim during this removal. Tony installed the door. He did not insulate around the door casing, the wood casing he installed was destroyed from his removal and installed with a 1" gap from the trim peices. There was light showing through the frame of the door and around the doors themselves and no threshold was installed but rather an unfinished floor and outside gap. There was and still is a continuous flow of outside air pouring in around and through the door. When we questioned the completion, Tony stated that he would fix all issues when he returned as it was getting late and he needed to leave. Tony requested an additional payment of $600 and stated he would return the following weekend to complete the backsplash and door install. Again, in good faith, we paid him. Day 3: Per our numerous requests, Tony emailed us 3 separate invoices stated the work requested and payment made showing that these charges had been paid in full. Tony was scheduled to arrive at our home to complete contracted work at 8:30am but did not arrive until after 10:30 am. Tony stated that he would not complete the started work unless we agreed to pay him an additional fee. I explained to him that we had in good faith paid him $1000 and expected the work to be completed without any additional payment. He then stated he was leaving our home without completing any work, and that he refused to do the work because he felt he wouldnt be paid additonal fees. In result he would not complete the work he had been paid for and was going to leave and go to his $10,000 job where he could make money. * After Tony left i sent him a text message confirming his refusal to complete the work he had been paid for, and he had the nerve to state that he would be sending me a bill for his travel to my home and wasting his time It is unfortunate that in good faith we paid Tony expecting him to stand true to his word and complete the work he had been paid for. We are now forced to file a civil law suit to render this situation with our money and our incomplete work. It is our hope that this review will help out at least one unexpecting customer from getting their money taken and left with nothing more than poor craftsmanship and incomplete work from Tonys scams.
