Made call and Anthony was scheduled to come out in 24 hrs. We received a call he was on his way about 15 min ahead of time. Anthony fixed the bracket oiled all of the rollers and gave us some maintenance instructions. All in and out in under 30 minutes. Very happy. I purchased universal remotes that did not work, and James spent extra time to help me program. While the garage door openers ultimately did not work, James recommended getting a brand specific (i.e., Genie) remote and this recommended solved my concern.

He did arrive a little late due to backup throughout the day as I was in the late slot anyway but it was minimal and no issue. This company is amazing! My garage door spring broke on a Sunday. Most garage door companies I called were closed. I called the Columbus Ohio Garage Door Co., and the phone was promptly answered and a wonderful technician, named Anthony, came out to my home in less than 2 hours. Anthony was knowledgeable and more than helpful. He explained the problem, the fix, and what I could do to ensure that the garage door remained in good condition for as long as possible. It would be hard to find better service. I would definitely recommend and use this company in the future.

When my garage door spring snapped in two on a Saturday morning leaving our only car stuck in the garage because the door fell and jammed under the opening, I thought I was in for a long weekend. After reading the excellent reviews of this company, I gave them a call and they said they could come out the next day (Sunday), even though they are not officially open that day. Then, within in hour, they called back and said they would be able to come out later that day after all. When Anthony arrived, he went right to work, and you could tell he has done this [probably] thousands of times over the 15 years he has been fixing garage doors. It probably on took him 30 minutes, and would have taken less if I had not been talking to him the whole time! Once the spring was replaced, however, the door wouldn't stay down, even after he adjusted the trolley sensor. He started to give me options on replacing the sensor, trolley, or even wondering if the circuit board had somehow picked that time to go bad as well. But then we both realized that the door was stopping appropriately in the up position, so I asked if he could move the front sensor back even further and he did, at which point it stopped in the down position off the back trolley magnet. I have never had an obviously skilled worker consider my input into a problem so readily before, and Anthony was swift and above all safe (you can get seriously hurt winding garage door springs). If you need an exposed spring replaced, you can't go wrong with this company. He also said they can convert an enclosed spring system to an exposed spring if you don't want to pay for a proprietary repair.

James was on time and very efficient. He walked me through some things I can do to extend the life of my garage door and prevent expensive repairs in the future. Didn't try to sell me services I didn't need. Would recommend to anyone needing their garage door serviced.

James came out the day after I called. He quickly got the door working manually. he pointed out cracks in the steel door that would continue to grow and showed why it kept trying to buckle. He suggested we not use the opener because the door would probably be crushed when the door hung up. I asked for his recommendation. He suggested a new door. It was obvious to me that he was right so we scheduled the replacement. Anthony came out two days later and replaced the door. While the new door looked identical to the old one the installation is considerably better. The tracks, spring and door are much more solid than before Anthony went the extra mile and made sure that this door would not fail the way the other one did, I highly recommend this company. Anthony, the Service Tech, with Columbus Ohio Garage Door checked my garage door opener and determined the unit needed a new logic board. He suggested I contact Chamberlain, the maker of the Lift Master garage door opener, to obtain the part since my unit was still under warranty. (I should not that Columbus Ohio Garage Door had installed the garage door opener in September 2016.) Over a three month period, Chamberlain sent me multiple parts and Anthony installed the parts in an attempt to fix the unit. In a number of instances, Chamberlain sent the wrong parts and I had to have them re-send the correct parts. Anthony was great to work with during this process. When I could no longer get satisfaction in dealing with Chamberlain, James Encracion, the owner of Columbus Ohio Garage Door, stepped up to the plate and had Anthony install a new garage door opener at no cost. This is SUPERIOR SERVICE from Columbus Ohio Garage Door. James not only stood behind the service of his company but he stood behind the product of Chamberlain. Anthony arrived in the afternoon the same day I called. He was very professional, explained the job, which was replacing the large spring, and the price, which I thought was reasonable. After he quoted the price, I realized I had forgotten the $10 off coupon from Angie's List and he subtracted the amount. He also oiled moving parts of the door, the assembly and tightened door bolts. Would hire them again in the future.

I was leaving the house on Sunday at noon when I heard a loud noise from my garage door. After inspecting I saw the cable was the reason the door wouldn't go down. I got on Angie's List and called Columbus Ohio Garage Door. Anthony came out and fixed the door very quickly and for a great price. They were very friendly on the phone and able to come out within a couple of days, so I booked the repair. Besides the availability, I found that they offered the best pricing for the repair (before coupon) of all the places I had called and also guaranteed their replacement springs, which I did not see many of the other companies advertise. Anthony, the technician, arrived at my home promptly at the beginning of my scheduled repair window and proceeded to make the repair in around 20 minutes. Once complete, he walked me through what he had done and then instructed me on some basic garage door maintenance practices I was unaware of. He also made some recommendations to me on how I could preserve the life of my door. He was very personable and professional and never pressured me to make any additional purchases or upgrades, only recommendations based on his prior experience, which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend COGDC and use them again if needed.

James and Anthony came out the day after I called them to assess the problem with my garage door. They offered the option of a temporary fix that would last a few years at best or a replacement of the door. The opener was definitely broken and had to be replaced. They provided the door and opener replacement options and gave me the quote on the spot. We agreed on the exact door and opener I wanted. We really like the doors by Haas. James and his staff are very polite and friendly and were responsive when we called with problems. Unfortunately we had more problems than I feel were acceptable. Both of the replacement doors had to be rehung because they were not properly secured to the wall, The second time it was done correctly. The trim was not applied correctly and after two tries we have decided to do it ourselves in the spring, The second time they left nails and screws in the doorway. When it came time to hang the third new door the results were much better. The door is working well. We chose not to have them install the trim not because of the other problems but because the door is not trimmed out yet and our contractor said he would do it later. I don't mean this as a totally n3egative review. The price was very competitive and they were very responsive. There were just more problems than AI would have preferred to have to work out.

I arrived home Friday night to a broken garage door and called Columbus Ohio Garage Door. They sent someone out early Saturday morning to repair a complicated problem that resulted in a bent track (the door came off the track). The repair technician replaced the springs, cables, and the bent track.
