Excellent. Great quality, punctual and cleaned up very nicely.

Workers arrived on time and performed the services within an hour. The windows look great although the workers left some dirt near the windows on the basement floor. Also, they had to apply a gray, concrete-like material to bind the windows to the walls, causing a somewhat sloppy look to the job (since my walls are a white color). If they had paid extra attention to detail, they would have painted the concrete material so that it matched my white walls.

I was particularly pleased with them. They were out on time, did the job quickly and the cleaning was done very well after the work done. I would use them again if I needed them.

Here's the back-story: This company had given me an estimate two years ago for glass blocking the basement at my residence. It was a toss up between this company and another, and I went with the other company. I did refer 1st Choice to my brother though, who used them for a job, and was pleased with their work. So when I had this new job, I called 1st Choice. Matt came out promptly and gave me an estimate. I had forgotten to mention to him the discount he lists on Angie's List, which would have been a $50 discount. When I called him about it, he rather unconvincingly told me that he had already priced in the discount - even though there was no notation about the discount on the estimate and it was never mentioned at the time! To me that sounds like a bogus claim. I went ahead with 1st Choice anyway even though I felt I was overpaying. The work was supposed to be done at 9:30 am. Matt called me at about 8:36 am to ask if he could reschedule for 1:00 pm that day. This was a minor inconvenience, but I agreed. From what other Angie's List reviewers have said, this type of last minute rescheduling is a chronic problem for this company. The installer called at noon and said he'd be there in 30 minutes. I appreciated the call, but that meant they changed the time AGAIN! The installer was very courteous and professional and did a good job of cleaning up. So my two problems with this company are that it didn't seem they honored the Angie's List discount when they said they did, and they rescheduled once at the last minute, then showed up half an hour early. Unfortunately, this is enough to make me look elsewhere for my future glass block jobs.

I was very pleased with the company. They were courteous and were able to get the job down quickly. They gave me an estimate on Tuesday and put the windows in on Thursday.

They showed up on time to do the work. They showed us how the windows worked. They cleaned up everything when they were done. They told me the price that we paid.

They did a good job. They showed up on time. It took them about an hour to install a garage window. They were informative and courteous. I will use this company in the future.

I couldn't be more pleased. About 5:00 in the evening I came home to find that someone had knocked out a basement window attempting to burglarize my home (an alarm system on the door leading to the first floor scared them away before they could steal anything). I called 1st Choice and they promised to come around 3:00pm the next day. They showed up at 1:30pm and asked if they were too early. For me, the timing was perfect. They worked quickly while taking time to answer all of my questions and replaced the three windows in about an hour. The quality of work is excellent, the charge was exactly as quoted ($100 per window), they cleaned up very nicely, and I am really pleased with my new windows, which not only look great and I believe will help to keep my basement cool in the summer and warm and dry in the winter while saving on energy costs (I was surprised to see how poorly the old window frames were sealed and insulated), but I believe make my home a lot more secure.

We did not chose this company because we got at least two follow-up calls after the estimate was given. We did not like being called, once late evening to see if we had made a decision about the windows. The final straw was when I called to ask a question about the estimate the phone number was disconnected. I check my phone to make sure I was calling the correct number and I was. So I called the other company and scheduled the window installation.

Work was completed with 2 hours. Cleaned up and explained how to clean windows.

It went very well!!! The price was great (especially with the Angie's List discount), and it didn't take as long as I thought it would.

Okay. Scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Called and rescheduled me at 12:00 noon without asking if it was okay. When asked it sounded like they had another customer (bigger job??) in Hilliard that wanted to have their installation the same day in the morning, so they just rescheduled us. Fortunately my schedule is flexible otherwise this would have been a huge issue. It kind of ruined the whole experience. They install a "whole" glass window rather than building it one glass block at a time. The results were professional.

Very well. Saw their display at a Home and Garden show one weekend at the Convention Center in Columbus. Didn't know what day would be best to meet them for an estimate, so they called on Monday to schedule. We set up a time, then a conflict came up and we couldn't be there. They left an estimate at the door---I liked that we didn't have to be there since this was a pretty easy job. We got another estimate and 1st Choice was about 1/2 the competitor's price so we went with 1st Choice. After we chose them, two installers were out the next Saturday morning, took a little over an hour and they were done. Surprisingly quick installation. Polite installers. Clean, no mess left.

I called Matt after hours and he called me back the same evening. He came out the next day to do the estimate and take measurements. In less than a week, he had everything replaced.

Sales man was quite high pressure. Person who came to give me an estimate asked questions about who else I was going to get estimates from, wanted to know when I would call to set and appointment then called me at 9 pm at night two days after getting the estimate to see if I would make an appointment to get the windows replaced. I was not happy about getting a call so late at night but I did have this company replace the windows, despite my annoyance with the phone call. The men that came to do the work were very polite. Installed the windows efficiently and I am happy with the finished product.

Excellent, overall. In-home estimate took about fifteen minutes w/ the owner. I obtained two more estimates (one higher, one lower) and then scheduled the work. They were able to fit me in w/ in a week's time. Two technicians came to perform the installation, which took all of an hour and forty-five minutes. Price obtained was below initial estimate by $45. They cleaned up after themselves, gave last minutes instructions on letting the mortar cure...pleasant people, good service, good product, looks nice. I'm very happy with it.

Very smooth and fast process from start to finish. After windows were installed one of them developed a crack in the mortar, and they came out promptly to repair it. Very happy with their work and responsiveness.

They arrived punctually, worked diligently and with obvious skill. Everyone was very polite and cleaned up well. The windows look great and the lifetime warranty (which goes with the house) was explained as hassle free. Everything seems excellent. I received a 5% senior citizen discount.

It went fine. Matt was professional and thorough. He was training someone so he brought his associate along. They use a silicon sealant on their windows rather than mortar. We decided to go with a mortar seal. Matt personally made a number of follow-up phone calls to get our business.

Estimate provided was over others by over $100. Also, sales would call several times in an afternoon without leaving message (saw the number on my phone). Finally answered the phone to tell them that we decided on another company and was asked several questions about other company that I didn't feel were appropriate.

Overall, very satisfied. Matt came out to measure the windows while I was at work. They returned that Friday at 5:30PM to do the install. Thought for sure it would be shotty work because they came so late on a Friday, but it actually was very well done! Took them under an hour total to do, too! I was shocked. We are very pleased with the final product.

When called, at the top of the list. Showed up on time. They cleaned up all trash. 4 very beautiful glass block windows. Polite workers.

Outstanding. They were fast with the estimate and always returned calls promptly. We've used them before, and the results were the same. Fast and friendly employees. This is a quality company, and they offer a lifetime warranty. If you need glass block save yourself the hassle and just call these guys. They're good.
