Description of Work: The service was top notch. The only remotely negative thing I have to say is that it was much more expensive then what I thought it would be. But they did a great job for us!

Description of Work: Found and stopped a roof leak, removed an old satellite dish, and replaced the chimney flashing. Great responsiveness in coming out and found a number of issues with the roof, which they fixed. Awesome company.

Description of Work: I had two skylights installed. I cannot say enough positive things about this company. They are great. Everything was done professionally and we plan on using them when we need our roof done in a couple of years. They |cleaned up the surroundings completely, and that is unusual. We were very pleased. Number 1 in our book!

Description of Work: Inspected my roof and determined that it had considerable damage that could not be detected by casual glances. Met with me and my insurance adjuster. Insurance then authorized total roof replacement. That has not yet been done, due to the weather. Temporary patches were made. I also authorized a light tunnel to be added. Total cost of $11,500. My share $1500.

Description of Work: Complete tear off and re-shingle on our late 1800's farmhouse. It was a dirty job, but they were quick, efficient, and precise. Great work and great people.

Description of Work: I purchased the $49 deal to tune up my roof. On the day of work and upon roof inspection, their technical person told me that the roof needs repair and it is not a good idea to do the tune up if repair will take place. He told me that he will consider the $49 I paid in the repair. I agreed on that and he left without doing any tune up work on my roof and promised to get back to me with a repair quote. The quote came back very expensive and I decided to not do the repair with Van Martin and went with another roofing company. When I emailed their technical person requesting refund for the $49 - because he did not actually do any tune up work on my roof, he ignored me. I emailed him for a second time after 1 week and the same happened, no response back. It is unfortunate that I did not expect this company to refuse to refund $49 for work they did not do and when I contacted Angie's list it was already too late because it was over 30 days. I would not recommend this company. If they do this for $49, what do you expect them to do on expensive work? | |On a side note, their quote was more than double the price I paid to the roofing company that ended up doing my roof, which by the way did a great job.

Description of Work: We contracted with Van Martin to replace our roof and gutters. I was very impressed when their sales rep Jason spent over an our inspecting our old roof and pointed out all of the problem areas and detailed how they proposed to address them. He even fixed some loose nails he found during his inspection. All of their crewmbers were very professional and personable and it was obvious from the start they took great care and pride in their work. The owner, Doug, communicated with us throughout the installation making sure we were always aware of what was happening. We've never gotten very excited about roofs, but we can't get over how Van Martin's work has thrilled us and added tremendously to the appearance of our home. Our neighbors have even complimented us on the difference it's made. We could not be happier with Van Martin Roofing!

Description of Work: He inspected my roof and patched a few places. Gave me some help with the spouting since he could see what was going on from the roof. Very nice, pleasant person to work with. Would reccomend him to everyone.

Description of Work: Remove and installed windows.

Description of Work: We had a new roof installed on a 60+ year old house. The used dimensional shingles and replaced a part of the wood on a small section of the roof with 3/4 in. plywood. The problem was this roof was constructed with 1x12 boards instead of 3/4 in. plywood which resulted in a noticable depression. This problem was eventually fixed. Except for this problem, they would have gotten an A rating.

Description of Work: We had our house and garage completely re-roofed a total of 33 squares. OSB added to the main house and new ventilation. They started at sunrise and didn't stop until sunset. With the roofs completed they came back the next day to mainly finish cleanup.

Description of Work: Replaced roof after hail damage, also replaced skylights and some gutters. They were easy to work with, they worked very fast and cleaned up as they went along (rather then making huge piles of debris). Instead of replacing the coverage on my attic fans they suggested ridge vents which should lower my cooling bills.
