Matt York and his team did a lot of work for a great price. They took care of getting permits and inspections for new gas line installation from meter to furnace. they removed our old oil furnace and replaced with a decent priced high efficiency gas furnace. They showed up when they said they would, they were professional, and efficient. He eve called several weeks later to make sure everything was working right. We were very pleased with the work done.

I hired United Heating and Plumbing to repair my air conditioner. That was my first mistake as I found out later they have an F with the Better Business Bureau. I now know why. Matt York, the company owner, tried to repair the air conditioner by connecting some loose wires and adding R-22 (free-on). He said that should solve the problem. It worked for a week and went out again. The day the air conditioner went out it was over 100 degrees outside. Not wanting to wait for Matt to come back (he couldn't give me an exact time when he could come back), I hired another company. This new company that came out told me the condenser and coils were filthy and if cleaned, which they did in a matter of 30-40 minutes, there shouldn't be any more problems (I might add since the cleaning the air conditioner has had no problems in almost two years). They had no idea why United Heating and Plumbing didn't initially check that. Hours later I called Matt to tell him of the situation and ask him why he didn't check the coils and condenser. He got very defensive and said he stood by his work. Matt said he just needed a day or two to "digest" the situation. He would then call me back and set up an appointment to come back and see if he did indeed misdiagnose the problem. Fair enough. However, Matt never called me back. I called and left messages twice and emailed the company once. No response. In addition, as mentioned earlier they have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau. I understand no one is perfect and mistakes are sometimes made. That is not the problem. Completely ignoring your customer after you tell them you will get back to them in a few days is not. Zero professionalism. Zero integrity.

Great experience. Contacted United by phone and set up a quote. Then decided to check reviews on Angie's list. Saw that they had positive reviews but not very many, so we got quotes from some of the bigger companies with more reviews. In the end it came down to Matt's professionalism and great pricing.

The installation and the furnace itself has been good but as far as follow-up; they act like they don't hear you on the phone; they hang up on you and you can not get them for a follow up. I need them to help me because I have a problem so follow-up is very important. It would be nice to be able to talk to them so I will not use them again in the future.

It went very well. The staff was very courteous and efficient. I am very pleased.

Matt is great. We had a flood in our basement, we called his cell phone and he was as a school event with his child (it was 7 pm). He offered to leave right then and come to help us. He helped us clean up, pick a new one and he installed it the next day.
