I ordered 5 U-Boxes to be delivered to my home on July 1, 2013. They were to arrive at 9 am. I hired movers to be there at 10:30 am the same day to help load the boxes with my furniture, etc. The boxes did not show. I called and called the U-Haul number in Dayton where the boxes were coming from, no answer. The movers show up and no boxes. I had to send them away. Needless to say they were not happy. I finally got ahold of a supervisor who told me the fork lift driver in Dayton had called in sick. Nobody told me. He said he would try to get boxes delivered the next day. Boxes were to arrive again at 9 am. Once again, no boxes arrived. I called and called. Finally got ahold of the fork lift driver who was supposed to be coordinating all of this in Dayton. She said there were no boxes. I had movers on hold for that day who were going to come at 12 noon. Called the supervisor again in Cincinnati because Dayton supervisor was on vacation. Finally get boxes delivered around 11 am. Movers come and fill 5 boxes. I called fork lift driver in Dayton or tried to so boxes could be picked up and to request more boxes, no answer. I had been told that when I filled up 5 boxes more would be delivered. (U-Haul can only deliver 5 boxes at a time). Finally get ahold of fork lift driver and am told there are no more boxes. Had to call supervisor again in Cincinnati. Finally get boxes the next day at 5 pm. Had to be out of house on July 4th, it is now July 3rd. Had to get movers at the last minute because original movers were on another job. New movers show at 7 pm. I am now trying to pack up my stuff while they pack the remaining 4 boxes (never did get another 5, was lucky to get the 4). Had to leave the next day with 4 u-boxes in my driveway wondering when they would be picked up. (By the way, when the first 5 boxes were picked up, driveway was scratched up). Remaining 4 boxes were picked up sometime on Friday, July 5th. Was told they would be shipped that day, but they were not. Once again tried to reach fork lift driver, but no answer. Called supervisor again in Cincinnati, was told they would be shipped on Monday, they were not, but did get shipped on Tuesday. Was told they would arrive at a U-Haul location in Jacksonville, NC. Found out they did not go there, but to another location. When I went to unload boxes about two weeks later, there was damage to two of the locks I had put on boxes, one lock was completely missing. Two of the boxes had been punctured through the side with the fork lift and I had damage to some of my furniture. I was told I could file a report even though the U-Haul person in charge at the Jacksonville location saw the damage, he said he was not responsible for damage that is happened at the Dayton location. I will never use U-Haul again, it was a disaster.
