When Darrell Henthorn came to do the initial estimate he seemed professional and very nice. Based on a reasonable estimate, we hired Darrell Henthorn dba TWO MEN AND A TOOLBOX. The job began in September 2011 and was not completed until April 2012. 8 months to remodel a small bathroom!! Why did it take so long? Workers never showing up, workers showing up at 11am and then leaving for the day at 2pm., workers hurt, workers sick, excuses, excuses, excuses. Since then, we have found several problems in the work that we have had to pay others to fix. Bottom line: stay away from this company.
Description of Work: (A) INTERIOR SEWER WORK: REMOVE EXISTING CAST IRON PIPE AND REPLACE WITH 4 INCH PVC. TIE IN EXISTING 1 ½ LINES FROM SINKS AND VENT STACK. MAKE NECESSARY MODIFICATIONS TO ACCOMMODATE NEW SEWER MAIN WITHIN INTERIOR STRUCTURE. ADD TWO INTERIOR CLEANOUTS. (B) BATHROOM REMODEL: REMOVE EXISTING TUB/SHOWER UNIT. MAKE WALL MODIFICATIONS (WITH SHUT OFF VALVE ACCESS DOOR) TO PERMIT INSTALLATION OF NEW WHIRLPOOL TUB. TILE TUB SURROUND. RUN TWO DEDICATED WIRES TO ARC FAULT BREAKER IN BASEMENT PANEL. INSTALL NEW TUB/DRAIN ASSEMBLY AND FIXTURES. INSTALL MOISTURE RESISTENT BOARD ON CEILING. INSTALL NEW LIGHT/VENT KIT. REMOVE EXISTING VANITY. REPAIR/REPLACE DRAIN ASSEMBLY. INSTALL NEW FIVE FOOT VANITY/TOP AND FIXTURE. BUILD VANITY BASE AND COVE BASE TILE. INSTALL VANITY MIRROR. MOUNT SHOWER ROD. REPAIR FLOOR TILE. REPAIR WALL FROM DEMO WORK. REMOVE AND REPLACE WINDOW AND TRIM. REMOVE GALVANIZED WATER SUPPLY LINES TO VANITY AND TUB AND RUN NEW PEX LINES WITH SHUT OFF VALVES. (C) REPAIR 1ST FLOOR CEILING: INSTALL DRYWALL /SAND / SMOOTH FINISH (D) REMOVE AND REPLACE 2 TOILETS (1ST FLOOR AND BASEMENT)
