Donnie is a very friendly businessman. We had nice conversations and communications over the phone and text during the two months we tried to coordinate our schedules to find a time that the job could be done. Even though initially weather and our mutual schedules created delays, by May I was beginning to feel like a job like this should be taking a bit more of a priority. Recognizing that it is a busy time of year, I suggested that we meet on the 9th so that I could show him what I wanted done. Instead if asking Donnie to wait for a time when I would be home, I thought I would be flexible and let him to return when his schedule would allow. In hindsight I think that was a poor decision on my part. While some the items that we discussed, where done sufficiently, such as the trimming of the branches other items (the flower beds) were done, in my opinion in a very haphazard manner. A flowerbed that I had indicated need nothing done to it, had a hydrangea randomly lopped off, while a honeysuckle weed behind it remained untouched. Leaves that I would have assumed that would have been raked out of the flower beds also remained. It was my opinion that those details were very basic and made the difference between an overall ?good job? and a ?fair?. The trimming of the overgrown branches, while done very well, apparently was focused on a great deal more than anything else I had asked to have done.Unfortunately, I realized the disadvantage of not being present while the work was being done. In my attempt to be helpful and flexible, I ultimately was the one who came up short. For that, I have no one else to blame but feel the need to share with others my experience. I'm not saying that Superior Lawn Care is a bad business only that my end result wasn't all that I had hoped it to be. I had hoped to have flower beds that were prepped and ready to go for planting. I will need to have more work done before I'm at that stage. As for the trees, they look great. I wasn't exactly planning on having a 'tree trimmer' just needed a couple of the branches cut back. But they did take care of a lot of the branches (and removed the brush) and I won't be worrying about them for a time to come. If I'd been present, I would have told them to not focus so much on the trees and to focus more on my flower beds. I could have communicated with person I hired while they were working. Unfortunately all I can do now is give my honest feedback after the fact. This isn't meant to be a smear campaign for a small business man. Rather a word of advise for anyone who buys a service....be present so you can communicate directly with your provider.

Donnie and crew overturned mulch and did a good job on re-staining the deck.

Leak was discovered during another service visit Donnie was on. He took time to find the source of the leak, including providing me with a picture of the damage. I appreciate his thoroughness and explaining what would be required in the repair. His price was very reasonable and the job was done by the next day.

Work was completed in a timely manner and done in the right way.

I made contact with them and indicated what I wanted done. He said no problem. I ordered the lights. Once the lights were delivered, I scheduled an appointment and they showed up on time. In fact, they showed up earlier than anticipated. The lights were installed in a timely manner. After installation, I had to decide which setting I wanted for my motion light. (3 settings) We tried the first setting over night, I didn't like it. They came back the next day and switched to the second setting. I didn't like that setting either! Once again, they returned and put the light on the third setting, which worked for me. I really appreciate their patience with me since I had a hard time choosing the setting that I wanted. I even gave them a little extra money for their time and patience.

Donnie and his helper showed up and assessed the situation -promptly removed the glass and as I have another series 3000 storm door in the house looked at it and in a short amount of time had both glass panels in but do to a problem with the mechanism the glass will not open now but it is closed and I will have to find another supplier to see if they do warranty work .

Called in the a.m. about starting the job that day, given the go ahead. Called again 15 minutes before arrival. Got right to work as we had previously agreed. Even went and purchased items needed that we had previously agreed to purchase but had not done so. Continually asked for reaffirmation concerning how the project was going. Got all the work done in one day. Very happy about how it looks. They had some very good design ideas.

They arrived promptly. Did exactly what I wanted done in a timely fashion. Have already hired to do another job, so obviously happy!

Donnie and his team of 3 showed up as promised and got right to work. One gentlemen worked outside while the others began painting. We had 3 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, dining room and family rooms painted. The worked efficiently and did a great job. While repairing a spot in the kitchen they found mold. Donnie called and let me know immediately and gave me a very fair price to clean it up, and repair the ceiling dry wall. This caused them to have to come back and paint the ceiling in that room so the repaired drywall would be dry. I should mention that we purchased the paint, a few rollers and pans as well as light and ceiling fan. Since they couldn't finish the job due to the kitchen repair, I paid for part of the work and at his suggestion, held a few hundred dollars back until they finished. They came back a few days later and completed the work. They also touched up some spots on the ceiling. Ceilings are tough to paint and with the shadows you seem to always catch something that was missed. Donnie gladly came out and touched up anything we found. They did a great job of cleaning up after painting - I think my carpets were cleaner after they finished than when they started. I would recommend him and his team for a great job, honest and fair prices and just genuinely nice folks.

It was ok and I was getting them to move stuff for me and one of the items they were moving stuff and ended up broken and damage an item and it works no more. They were nice guys. There was bed they were helping me put together but they ran out of time. They were professional and nice. If I had something to move with electrical parts I would not recommend them.

These guys were great. Showed up early, performed all of the work as described, and even stayed late to make sure they got to everything. Very professional and did a great job. Highly recommend!

Donnie and his crew were great to work with. I bought the Angie's list special to clean the gutters for $99. He called the next day to talk about scheduling. With all rain/snow, we had to wait a bit, but first nice day (about 2 weeks after purchase), they were out to do the work. Did a great job, quick and even gave me quotes on doing some yard work and paining. I'll definitely use them again.

Donnie and his helper were "same day" responsive in that I thought the phone call would be to make arrangements for a later date but he was able to complete this work same day. Lawn / landscaping looks great. Nice fellow trying to earn a fair buck.

The team was professional and personable! For less then $100 I had three guys provided me with two hours of time. They did everything on our fix it /to do list, and had no problem with me throwing yet one more picture there at the end. Will be using them again. Referred Donnie to my parents just yesterday.

Everything was completed in an excellent way and in a timely manner. I would say the service was more friendly and caring than professional. But I much prefer it that way. My new bathroom is everything I wanted it to be! The guys went over and above - including changing light bulbs... In fact, they shoveled my driveway while on a break!! Tell me - when has that ever happened??!! I would recommend Donnie, Ronnie and anyone else associated with Superior Lawn Care & Home Improvements. I know I'll be calling them again!

The work is done. It looks great. All in less than 3 hours since I first called. Donnie Holland (owner, I'm pretty sure) answered my phone call at 535 PM today. (The two other places I called, one with an answering service who said that they would call me back right away, and the other with a voice mail have not yet called back.) Donnie with one helper already have the work completed... it's 8:25 PM the very same day. Was I lucky, or was Superior that responsive? Well I'm not that lucky, so all the credit goes to them. My son was off school today, due to the extreme cold, and while he was putting stuff into the attic he stepped through the ceiling. He pushed through near the whole panel of drywall; except for where it snapped. Cold was pouring in out of the attic. This had all the makings of a severe cold emergency. Of course I turned to Angie's List for a solution. Angie's team of professionals delivered again. I'm absolutely certain I will call Superior again, we already talked about replacing, or correcting the adjustment, of our front entry door.

Job went very well. Donnie and crew arrived on time and began work on the outside of the home immediately. Donnie was super responsive and even agreed to perform more work than was originally planned... And managed to complete all work within the day. I'm keeping Superior in mind for more work in the near future.

Donnie and his crew painted two rooms while keeping everything clean. They were professional and on time. Plus got the light fixture fan changed too.

In one day they helped in picking up the door, and got it replaced. Looking forward for more work to be done.

In one day he helped in pick up the products, the machine, he has the best helper who is very practical and flexible to get into attics and get things done. They did a great job. We went from r value of 7 to r value of upper 20

Also had them remove excess soil from a berm alongside my office building (the soil was washing onto the sidewalk after each rainfall... Now the soil line is level with the walk... no more problem. This was the second time that I used Superior within the last two months. I will definitely use them again. They took care of both properties and hauled away stuff, all for $80 (and that included the dump fee).

Great. Appreciated his timing and his help on getting the materials. Very happy with the work he did and looking forward for more work ahead.

Donnie and his crew showed up on time and ready to work. I was surprised by their speed and efficiency on completing the jobs I had for them to do. They cleaned out old gutter and repaired old fascia that other handymen could not do. Installed new gutters and downspouts where needed. They trimmed trees after DP&L sent a crew. DP&L did very little to get trees off of power lines. Donnie did not have do this, but with the winter coming didn't me to lose power. Donnie and his crew continued with cleaning up my yard. Installing a few privacy fence sections was also on my list. Donnie and crew were courteous and attentive to my needs. They brought all tools required to do all tasks. They made sure they cleaned up and asked me to look at all jobs completed to make sure I was happy. I will continue to use Donnie's services for future jobs. They were nothing but professional. His prices are reasonable due to the fact that I am a single woman with limited income. He enabled me to get a lot done at a reasonable price when other handymen came to give estimates twice as much.

He was on the roof before I knew it and almost had the job done. Very nice fellow and I will hire him again to do more work. He had some good suggestions regarding necessary trimming of some trees hitting my chimney and potentially doing damage to the brick work by loosening the mortar. I plan to hire him to do some trimming. I recommend him!
