Styled Tile

Did very good work, and I would hire again.

I contacted James because all but one of the comments about his work on Angie's list were positive and the quality of his work was highly praised. I asked him for a quote on the work and he said he would get it to me shortly. In the interim I had him help me remove some counter top and back splash in the Kitchen and demo some tile areas in the bathrooms. I was told that he was working on the quotes. In the interim I would call him repeatedly. Most of the time I got his voice mail and never received a return call. When I did get in contact with him I would get stories when he was going to start the rest of the job. I never did get a quote from him. he seemed like a nice person and I gave him every opportunity possible. All I got in return were lies and unkept promises. His word means absolutely nothing. Hire him at your own risk!! This is by far the worst experience that I have ever had with anyone on Angie's list, a complete and total disaster!!

Styled Tile is my normal tile contractor, and my needs for this project matched up with a lull in their schedule so they took on the entire project. From start to finish it took about 2 weeks, but they didn't work on this non-stop every day. Since this was a rehab for rental, time wasn't critical. Some aspects of the project such as the drains and electrical pushed their limits a little but, but we worked together to make sure my expectations were understood and that it got done. For the items they were unsure about what I wanted or how to do it, they called to make sure they were on the right path or even called in their electrician contact to check the work. Overall, the project turned out great. Tile was straight, cut perfect, drywall finishing was perfect, textured ceiling was done well, and electrical to code. The only minor issues were that they did leave some extra drywall materials onsite, shower nozzle drop fitting wasn't secured the best behind the wall before the tile went up, and the bathroom vent line install through the outside vinyl siding was a bit sloppy. (Used lots of expandable foam to cover large gaps cut in.)

Job was done well. James showed up on time and completed the job oil just one day. Backsplash looks great.

They did a good job. They just didn't call back. They've made arrangements and then a big job came up so they did that. I had to keep calling them. We're pretty close to being ready when we called them. It was a fairly small job. We bought the tile. I had some samples and they came out to look at it. They gave us an estimate. They didn't call us back when they were supposed to. It eventually turned out okay. I had to keep calling them.

He was amazing and his staff were so friendly and answered questions as the job progressed. We are totally satisfied with the whole experience. Looking forward to having them renovate our master bath next!

James and his workers were very nice and polite and good workers. They knew what they were doing and we were very pleased with the results. We will contact them again for other projects in the future.

It looks great! He picked up the supplies for me and work was completed on time. A couple of weeks later I had a concern about one area and James came back and took care of it for me. The neighbors think it looks great too!

Could not reach James Evans at Styled Tile on phone. All I got was an answering service with no obvious way to leave a message for him. After a number of tries I gave up.

came out and said he would get back to me, Never heard from him again.

James came over a few hours after my call. He provided an estimate on installing the tile right away and followed up with a contract. In addition he offered a few other services of which we accepted. We were fortunate enough to be added to his schedule the following week. Within 3 days the crew had installed most of the flooring and only had the special foyer and tub installation left. Everything was completed exactly in the time promised, it looks gorgeous and its so much better than we hoped for! We will be calling James and his crew back for more work!!! You would be fortunate to have this crew do your work! I've worked with the worst of the worst and now, I'm happy to say I've worked with the best of the best. Thank you James!! Call me for a referral anytime.

This is now the second time I have used James and Styled Tile. He is now my 'tile guy' and I expect to bring him back for a few more tile projects when it's time to remodel and update some rental units. James came out on time to give me an estimate and said he could get it done within 2 weeks. I notified him once the material was on hand and he was able to work me in earlier. I provided the tile, grout, and grout additive. They provided the thinset. They came in early Friday morning used quick setting thinset and were able to finish the grout later that afternoon. Looked great!! Highly recommend these guys!!

Installed kerdi on a greenboard tub surround project. Surround included two custom-made niches. Tiling was 12 x 16 ceramic tile all around with a 3-inch vertical stripe of corinth tile as a point of interest. Tim was my installer... showed up on time, kept me informed me of progress, asked questions, very professional. Good guy. They actually started work before the date we agreed to when they bid the project. They were done in three days (1 day kerdi, 1 day tile, 1 day grout). I'm sealing the tile. I would not have a reservation about hiring this team again in the future. The price includes labor and materials (less tile).

They came in and took my kitchen from studs to a brand new kitchen. They put in new wallboards with new cabinets, new flooring, new lightening, and new backsplash. James and his team designed the tile pattern for my floor with tile that we had already purchased. It took them three weeks to redo our kitchen and every day produced a beautiful final room. They were professional, on time and on budget.

James did an outstanding job. I hired him a few months ago to re-tile my bathroom. He also came back to finish other work for me. I needed a banister for the upstairs. He and his partner came and in several hours put it in. The work is fantastic and came in on budget. I am planning on hiring them to put in a other bathroom downstairs.

They were courteous, professional, timely, sociable and polite. They told us what they were going to do. They were very friendly and you felt comfortable having them around. I am going to have them out to do some more work for me in the future. There were a few things that happened, but they stood behind their work and fixed it immediately. They worked hard when they were at our home.

James at Styled Tile showed up on time on a Wednesday to give me an estimate for the work. He also provided a number of references from recently completed jobs that all checked out. Due to an opening in their schedule, Styled Tile was able to start the next morning. They showed up on time and had the tile installed in both tub surrounds by early afternoon. Again, they showed up on time the following day to grout the areas and were done by mid morning. Once the floor area tiles came in, they were able to take care of that in just a few hours early the next week. (Styled Tile was able to recommend a local tile supplier that was able to get a tile that was almost an exact match to the other tile on the floor that needed repaired) All the areas looked great and they were very thorough in their clean up.
