We reached an equitable agreement with the contractor for a compensation of his previous poor performance. This included a tear out of the prior work and repayment of the fees paid for the work. Mr. Spalla has been honorable in keeping the agreement.

The tile job was done poorly with tile bulging out and grout lines of different thickness. The tub was not installed properly and has leaks. There was a failure of his part to read the specifications. He has made many promises of fixing it but so far has not followed through on what he says. I strongly advise people to not use his services. He talks nicely and gives you a low price but the quality is so poor, and there are so many delays it isn't worth the headaches dealing with him.

The problem is there are always extra things later. He doesn't include everything so it makes it look like a lower price, but later on it's like we have to have this, we have to do this. He's a nice guy, but they gutted our bathroom 7 weeks ago and it's still not finished. Poor communication, constantly not showing up, not letting us know if there's a problem and they show up 5 or 6 hours late.
