Excellent service from Sommers Window & Door. Bob is professional, punctual, and does excellent work. We had Bob replace 5 windows last year and were so impressed/pleased with his work and the quality of the Anderson windows that we did not hesitate to use him again this year to replace the remaining 5 old windows in the house. He removed the old windows, installed the new windows and trimmed them out perfectly. He hauled away the old window debris and cleaned each room up nicely when done. We noticed a reduction in electric/propane costs last year with just half the windows replaced, look forward to further savings this year. Also, outside noise is much less noticeable (the neighbor has 3 Dobermans that bark a lot) We would highly recommend Anderson windows and Sommers WIndow & Door.

We had six wooden windows replaced with new Anderson windows. The trim matched perfectly and the finish was top-notched. We were very happy with the outcome and would highly recommend him.

What a terrific experience! Bob is amazing - professional, meticulous, capable. He works by himself mostly, so it takes him longer - he was at our house for several days. We didn't mind though, as he was very tidy and unobtrusive. He had all the windows and trim stained to match our existing trim and showed up promptly with all materials needed. Made sure to tell us each day what he expected to get done the next day and he delivered. Would wholeheartedly recommend him!

I dreaded this job but, thanks to Bob, it turned our to be a delight. Going into it, we didn't even understand what a full-frame replacement was. We knew we needed new windows, and we knew we hated the look of the wide, white, vinyl sash we've seen with so many replacement jobs. When Bob explained what he did at the in-home consultation, I was sure we'd never be able to afford such nice windows (Andersen tilt-wash 400 series with custom stained wood interior and dark-colored composite exterior), or be able to hack the mess and dawn-out nature of a full-frame replacement. Bob asked to bid the job, assuring us that he price would be comparable to all vinyl replacement windows, and it was! There's no getting around it: this is a bigger time commitment. Instead of getting the whole job done in a day or so, it took over a week. But disruption to our routine was minimal, because he just did one window at a time, usually two per day. Every day he cleaned up and put everything back as it was, even touching up paint where necessary. We are so glad we had a real knowledgable craftsman install these windows because in one spot we had considerable termite damage to the drywall (which had been hidden by trim work) and Bob was able to repair the problem. I would recommend Bob Sommers Window and Door to anyone! He is honest, affordable, hardworking, clean, and a pleasure to be around. He will take the greatest possible care with your home and possessions.

Bob ran into a lot of problems with one window in our house that was rotten and had carpenter ants in it. It was so gross once he got in there. He was a good sport and he, my husband, and I were sucking up carpenter ants in 2 shop vacs and spraying like crazy. He surely didn't expect that! Bob was able to build a whole new window header and jack studs on the sides and he then installed the window. What he thought would be a quick job took much longer and was way more involved. He talked to us about adjusting his original quote and we agreed to pay him more. His price was not a lot more...$150 I believe. He had some suggestions for us with other windows in our house and a sliding glass door but we're saving that for another time. Too many things to do right now with the house to afford everything. He's a great guy and knows his stuff!
