He did some minor repairs and it turned out fantastic.

I was in the market for a complete roofing job and Security Roofing was one of several contractors I met with and requested written estimate. The sales rep, a jovial fella, processed my request and send the estimate by e-mail which I liked since deciphering bad handwriting is a time-consuming process. The sales rep confided in a low-tone, half-jokingly that his company uses Hispanic laborers which I had no problem with as long they do a good quality job. I also had my front gutter replaced by Security Roofing. Of course, I late realized Security Roofing subcontracted the gutter job to a company by the name of A-One Seamless Gutters. I'm satisfied with the gutter job. Returning to the roofing discussing, my roof required about a little above 11.5 square. The attached florida room was a recent addition to my house so its attic is not connected to the existing home structure. The florida room is ventilated by side vents and roof box vents. So the sales rep initial estimate had the existing roof vents removed and the holes patched. There was a 10% discount to the bill total for being an Angie's List member. Being familiar with my house construction, I felt the proposed solution contained in the initial estimate didn't properly address the ventilation issue. I brought this issue to the sales rep' attention and requested a revised estimate to include the replacement of the existing box vents with new and not patch the holes. So he wrote a new estimate but cunningly left out the discount for the change order. I took a calculator and requested the Angie's List discount be applied to the new total which after some unrelenting the sales rep acquiesced. My previous experience with contractors taught me that they love change order. However, in my case I felt it wasn't really a change order but instead unfamiliarity with the housing structure that went into the writing of the initial estimate and proposed solution. After waiting about a week for shingle delivery, the roofing job went smooth. My 'Hispanic guys" did their job, didn't damage my properties, and cleaned up after themselves.

I joined Angies List specifically to find a contractor to accomplish this large job on my 95 year old mothers home after significant hail damage occurred. After initially considering 6 companies/contractors, to include interviews, I chose Security Roofing. This was not an easy decision as several of those interviewed were strong contenders. My final choice was based ultimately on two things. First was my research result where Security Roofing appeared to be an overwhelming favorite of AL subscribers with nearly 300 very satisfied clients. One thing that impressed me while reading these reviews of Security was the repeated mention of the General Manager by name as being unusually responsive to customer inqueries. In every instance that GM, Randy Sitz, had not only resolved any issues to the customers satisfaction, but had taken the time and made the effort to respond in writing via Angies List to these customers. He stood alone among his peers in this regard.. I was most impressed by this, and after meeting and talking with Randy about the job, I felt that he was sincere about his desire to do the work the way I wanted it done. (I'll add here that I'm 70 years old and not easily impressed). The crew of roofers did an excellent job, and I mean exactly that, on ALL their work. These men are true professional craftsmen and they cut no corners nor are they slipshod in any way, right down to cleanup of your property. Randy had suggested several improvements/upgrades that he could accomplish if I wanted, at no additional cost to me. One was the replacement of gable end vents with a more efficient ridge vent system, eliminating five roof top box vents as well as the end vents. He also suggested running a 60 foot one piece gutter across the entire front of the house in order to eliminate a downspout adjacent to the front entry door. That required the use of a higher capacity gutter, the availability of which I was ignorant.. That really cleaned up the overall appearance of the house and was something I would not have thought of. I was initially hesitant to have the "Arizona Room" roof replaced because it involved taking the old insulated aluminum roof completely off. Greg convinced me that I should do it, and when I saw the old roof after removal I was certainly glad he prevailed! Because of unseen water damage the inside of that insulation was a mess. All the work was done just as Randy promised it would be and Randy himself was frequently present to make sure all was going well. Never before have I had a contracted job completed to my utter satisfaction without having issues that had to be resolved. Randy and Security Roofing owner Greg Olsen were great at keeping me informed thru the entire process and really went the extra mile, more than once, to ensure that I was happy with the job. I give them the highest recommendation with absolute confidence that anyone contemplating their services will be as happy as I am with the results. Thank you Greg and Randy, and all your workmen. 04/27/2014 Update. In preparation for the sale of this home after the death of our mother, we enlisted the services of Allen Home Inspections (on Angie's List) in order to provide us with the necessary information pertaining to required repairs etc. The inspector told us that he had not seen any roof to compare with the quality of this one, and he has seen many! He was very impressed with the workmanship and attention to detail evident throughout. Once again, a heartfelt thanks to Greg, Randy, and the workmen involved.

The rep was very responsive and the job was completed quickly once started. Clean-up great. Recommended to a neighbor friend and they did a great job on her house too.

I joined Angie's List because I needed to have my roof and gutters replaced and I wanted to find a reliable, competent and honest roofing contractor with integrity. I knew this project would be at a moderate expense and wanted to make a good choice of contractor. I picked (3) Angie's List Roofing Contractors and asked all (3) for estimates which were promptly provided. My experience with Security Roofing has been nothing but positive and very professional from start to finish. I cannot be more pleased and satisfied with all the work Security Roofing did for me and was also very impressed with the quoting process and support I received from their main office. Randy Sitz came out to give me an estimate. He handed me a professional folder that contained information about Security Roofing, several informational brochures on roofing products that could be installed, and an actual booklet from their shingle manufacturer giving lots of examples and color choices. Out of the (3) roofing contractors I asked for estimates, Security Roofing was the only one who gave me this type of information and it was very helpful in answering questions and helping me to make an informed choice. Randy was very punctual - to the minute and was very professional, courteous, and answered all the questions I asked. He also came out the day of my roof installation and spent time making sure everything was going well. I appreciated the extra support this afforded as I had no idea how things should proceed. I also had contact with Greg Olsen, the president of Security Roofing on the phone and through email. He was also very courteous and professional. I emailed him over a dozen questions I had about the process and what Security Roofing would do for me. He promptly answered all of my questions in detail. I emailed him several more times with follow-up questions and all were promptly answered. I also want to mention the quote I received. Security Roofing gave me a very detailed quote showing each item that was being installed on my roof and the breakdown in cost per unit along with a total cost of each item. The quote also offered some upgrade options if I was interested. I only received very "general" quotes from the other (2) roofing contractors. So, the detail in Security Roofing's quote was much appreciated and showed a "step above" the other roofers in quality and professionalism. On the day of my roof installation, a roofing crew showed up with Arturo as the foreman. I could not be more pleased with their work ethic and the quality of the work they performed. I needed to have a couple of pieces of wood replaced and Arturo removed several existing pieces to get down to the problem spot to repair it. The crew took very few breaks and worked very hard all day to get my roof totally replaced. They removed all the old shingles, felt, and all nails before beginning my new roof installation. The cleanup process after the work was finished was also very impressive. I could not find even the smallest piece of roofing debris in my yard. Arturo also removed my existing gutters and removed/replaced the aluminum fascia covering the wood behind the gutters. His crew worked over 12 hours that day. The next day the gutter installation team arrived. They were also very courteous and professional and answered all questions I had. I was also very impressed with the quality of the material they used. The gutters and downspouts had a very shiny and glossy finish to them and looked great! Should be a lot easier to clean them. Almost all of the other gutter contractors in the Dayton area use dull flat finishes on their gutters so this was again a "step above" everyone else. I'm very pleased and happy with all of the work that was performed by Security Roofing and its contractors for my roof, gutter and fascia replacements. There was nothing but professionalism and integrity throughout the whole quoting and job processes and excellent work. Everyone involved in my project made sure that everything was done "right the first time". I would definitely recommend Security Roofing and will use them in the future for replacing the soffit around my house.

If you are like me, looking for a roofing company was a very stressful time. It is an expensive repair and you want to be sure you are picking the right company. My roof was damaged by a storm and while it had 2 layers and was not leaking I had some time to research roofing companies. We searched the internet, talked to friends and ended up interviewing 7 companies - not fly by night operations but all long time roofing businesses, they all did quotes and for the same exact roof we got bids from $6800 all the way to $8900. I was shocked at the differences in prices. Most were showing us the exact same shingles so the difference in prices shocked me. When I was at the point of just giving up we contacted Security Roofing in Huber Heights. They presented us with a detailed contract and explained the process completely. They started work on the roof the next week and were done in one day. They cleaned the yard and left the house in perfect condition and the roof is beautiful. Their salesperson Randy even worked with my insurance company and got us another $426 for items that the insurance company did not cover on my original claim. That almost covered my deductible. I cannot tell you how wonderful it felt to turn this roofing repair over to people that not only offered the lowest price but took over and handled everything else. Everyone please save yourself the time, headache and worry that I went through - use Security Roofing. The best home repair decision I have ever made.

From beginning to end, things went very well. After finding Security Roofing through Angie's List, they were very responsive over the phone and for in person estimate. There was a bit of delay on beginning the work, but I attribute part of that on my delay in getting the approved estimate back to them. I believe my delay moved our home in their workload order. They kept me informed of when they would be out to do the work, and they were right on time. I arrived home right when they were finishing up the approved work. I did a complete walk-around and things looked wonderful! The gentlemen were very kind and cleaned up our yard of any debris that had been remaining. I reached out to Randy and Greg and thanked them for their wonderful communication and work! I will be using them again for any future needs we may have!

Arrived two hours before scheduled time knowing that we would still be at work . Nailed tarp to roof that we said that we did not want done . This caused damage to portion of roof that was not going to be replaced costing more . Only wanted to replace roof on entire house which was only 6 years old not storm damaged portion . Only gave estimate for replacing whole house roof .

Randy Sitz was wonderful. He was very helpful in picking out shingle color and trim color for contrast. Everything matches the color of our house trim and doors beautifully. Randy was very professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. We will call him again to replace the roof on our garage.

My experience with them went well. It was a very very good company and we liked everything about them. They were prompt and they got everything done on time. They kept the place clean. They were just all in all very good.

We had roof deck and shingles replaced. Crew was very efficient. All shrubs were protected and not one single nail was found on the grass afterwards. I highly recommend the crew.

Overall, I was extremely impressed with Security Roofing and, specifically, Randy Sitz, the sales representative. Randy told me from the very beginning that he wanted me to feel as comfortable as possible through this process. Since I was rather nervous about having my roof torn off in the middle of December, this really helped! He was very professional, personable, and attentive to all my questions and concerns from the start of the job to the finish. He also came to my property once or twice a day during the job to check on how everything was going. I was also very pleased with how quickly the job was completed. It was a fairly big job and they completed it in just three days. I couldn't be happier with the end results and I'm very glad I chose Security Roofing!

The overhang repair was a relatively small job with complications of landscape and height. I tried to get 3 quotes, and gave up on the third quote because the company was taking too long. Security Roofing proposed what seemed to be the right thing, I accepted, and they tailored what they did based on what I wanted, which was to make the roof overhang as maintenance-free as possible, while fixing the damage that had been done by the tree and squirrels. It took them a while because it was a relatively small job, but they got it done before winter, and that was fine because the weather was not doing my roof or siding any damage. They even reduced the price. The workers that came out one day spoke spanish, but they were able to ask where to plug in their equipment.

From the initial phone call to schedule an estimate to the day the roof was completed, Randy was there to answer any questions and make sure the job was done right. Security Roofing guided us through the process as they dealt with our insurance company and we knew step by step what to expect. Randy was always on time for any appointments we made and was available by phone any time we had questions. It's been a long time since we have had that level of customer service and their quality of work, products they use and warranties are the best around. They are complete professionals. They were one of three other companies we called for siding our home. Randy came out and looked at the job, took measurements, and reviewed some options for siding. He told me he would email a quote within a couple days. I waited...no quote. I called back to see if maybe they had the wrong email or something. I was told they would follow up on the situation. He came out in July and here it is Oct ....still no quote. A call back would have been nice.

I called for an estimate based on the Angies List positive recommendations. The salesman, Randy Sitz, arrived promptly after I called and spoke to the owner Greg Olsen about the timing of the estimate. Randy is a true professional in every aspect. He gave me a folder containing all of the information I needed to make an informed decision. He went onto the roof and inspected the job and told me I would receive an estimate via email soon. The estimate arrived the next day in very understandable and detailed format. Randy then called in a few days to see if I had questiions, which I did and he answered them effectively. Randy then returned to my house to go over the estimate with me and to further answer my questions and then modified the estimate to cover some additional concerns I had. I was so impressed with the company and Randy's presentation that I signed the estimate and approved the job that day. Randy told me the materials would be delivered to my driveway in the next few days and then he would call to schedule the job. The materials arrived the next day and within two days the crew arrived and began work. Most of the work was done in a single day with a little bit of soffit work remaining for the next day. The crew was effecient, polite and cleaned up very well after the job. The owner, Greg Olsen came by to inspect the work late on the day of installation. He got up on the roof to see that the job was done correctly. I am more than pleased with the job they did. Security Roofing went above and beyond my expectations and I would highly recommend them in the future.

FANTASTIC!!! Despite the large number of claims /calls for home repair from a recent wind storm, Security Roofing was great. My rep, Randy Sitz came out promptly to inspect the damage - in fact, twice just to make sure he picked the correct colored materials. I appreciate him, always returning my calls promptly and taking the time to answer my questions /concerns. I know there were many larger storm related jobs that were more profitable but these guys completed my repair sooner than expected. Their quote was also much less than another roofer I received estimates from.

Through Angie's List I contacted Security Roofing to get an estimate on some minor wind damage to the shingle cap on my ridge vent. Randy Sitz returned my call the same day. He then stopped by that same day to take a look and provide an estimate, but because it was so minor and I still had the shingle cap that came off, he quickly re-nailed and caulked the shingle cap while he was inspecting the roof! This was amazing customer service and I will definitely contact Security Roofing for my future roofing repair needs.

Selected Security Roofing through Angie's List. Randy Sitz called me within 2-3 hours after sending in email. Response was great. Randy stopped by my house the next day for a quote and left his card. I was not home when he came by. I waited 10 days for the quote and then sent him an email asking if/when I would get the quote. He has not responded. After posting this review. Randy did get in touch with me and today we went over the quote. The presentation was professional and well explained. I am satisfied with the final output and that this matter has been resolved.

I chose them because they had more people on Angie's List who referred them. I had a mutual friend refer them as well. They completed the job in one weekend. Our experience with them was very good. Everything was nice and easy.

We contacted Security Roofing after we had our roof approved for replacement by our insurance company due to wind and hail damage from storms. Right away over the phone and in person they were very professional. Both Randy and Greg were very easy to work with. They used a similar computer program to our insurance company for their estimates so it made it very easy to see where every last dollar would go- as opposed to more general paper written estimates. I was taken aback when their bid did come in about $3000 dollars over that of the competitors. But since I was impressed by them and they guaranteed the job would be done very quickly, cleanly, and with an respectful crew we went with them since we were not going to pay out of pocket for it in the end. Had we had to pay for it ourselves, we would not have been able to afford them. After they sorted out some billing issues with our insurance company (which they did directly) and the contract was signed, the shingles were delivered and the roof was done within mere days. It took 1.5 days to do the roof (house and detached garage- stripped down the the plywood through two old layers of shingles). The crew was very nice, worked extremely hard, cleaned up everything quickly, and just did amazing work. We are very happy with everything. It took some time to get the checks sorted out from the insurance company and then with our bank and Security Roofing (though they would check in with us about payment) never harassed us or rushed us to get the money to them. We were very please with our overall experience!
