Given all the positive reviews here on AL, I contacted Arbor Experts to remove a large Norway Spruce in our small suburban yard that had overgrown its welcome. I needed an ASA-certified arborist to counsel me on what to do about a nice big Arbor Vitae ("AV") that had started splaying, and about a Moraine Locust that had gotten kind of ratty and whose roots were at lawn-level in the front yard and had grown-under and compromised our driveway. I was thinking of just having them remove the AV and Locust. However, Paul came out, took time to look at the trees, and gave me alternatives to removal. He said both were very nice trees and recommended simple girdling straps for the AV. He also recommended NOT removing the surface roots of the Locust, lest it be killed. He offered the alternative of severing the roots at the driveway via "trenching". He did advise that the front yard would still be bumpy from the surface roots, but the soon-to-be-new driveway would be spared from the intruding roots and the very nice tree would be saved. Then, he recommended pruning that Locust. When they came to do everything, I was at work, but my wife was home. She reported they made short work of that big ol' Norway Spruce. When I got home, there wasn't any sign of any debris. (I had them take the wood from the downed spruce). The yard was absolutely clean. The Locust had been surgically/beautifully pruned, with all the old scraggly dead crap gone, the spindly stuff gone, and the good stuff neatly pruned back away from the house. It did NOT have that "power company-contracted topped-with-a-giant-hedge-trimmer look. So, all that, plus the strapping of the AV and the trenching for $1100!! Wow. Having scheduled the work in November for "winter service" some time between January and March, they gave us a 10% discount. With the really bad winter, they weren't able to get to it until late March. However, they called several days ahead, showed up when they said they were going to (and we're on the other side of town from where they're based), and charged us precisely what they quoted. They will definitely be welcomed back here in a few years when stuff needs to be done again.

The owner is very friendly and clearly an expert. The prices are very competitive. We will use them again this spring/summer to remove additional trees and clear wooded areas.

The gentleman who did the estimate (Brian Benton) was very professional. He came in November, arrived on time and carefully walked the area with me and discussed what I wanted to have done. He was very knowledgeable about tree types, health, etc. I was happy with his estimate for the work and asked that the job be done. He stated they could do the job in the near future or if I wanted I could have it scheduled as "winter work" and they would give me a 10% discount. I decided to go with the "winter work schedule". Paul called on Friday to schedule the work to be done today (Monday) March 3rd. The crew arrived in a timely manner in spite of the snow and extreme cold. The crew was so professional, courteous and hard working. We were very impressed with all the safety equipment and precautions that were taken. They worked carefully but hard, moving constantly and were obviously a good team of four. The gentleman heading the team reviewed the job before starting and after they were finished to be sure everything was done to our specifications. They were extremely careful about the cleanup, raking and leaf blowing the whole big area and taking away everything. They even used the leaf blower on our driveway and raked it as well even though it still had snow on it from the storm! All their equipment, helmets, ear protection, rope bags, climbing gear, chain saws, wheelbarrows, rakes, trucks and chipper were in excellent condition and obviously well maintained. I could not be more impressed and am very pleased with the job. I will definitely use this company again and highly recommend them.

I've done a lot of research on Angie's List arbor companies all culminating in a total of 8 visits from 8 different companies to provide quotes on tree work. I consider myself a very educated and capable (first-time) homeowner and I wanted to ensure I did my due diligence. After it was all said and done, Brian from Arbor Experts was by far the most impressionable. In doing the initial walk-around on my property, what stood out most about Brian/Arbor Experts was (his) mindful and intelligent plan for my trees. Specifically, he wanted to ensure they did what was best for trees, which is important to me. Surprisingly, the other companies that came out and said " we'll do whatever you want" were not the companies I felt comfortable with. I say surprisingly because I usually like that answer, " whatever you want"... don't get me wrong, Brian/Arbor Experts were all about making me happy, but the way Brian/Arbor Experts treated both me and the trees was what set them apart from the others. Brian even drew a labeled map for my reference... no other company took the time to do this! After scheduling with Arbor Experts I received a courtesy call the day before to touch base with me and confirm they'd be out the next day to do the discussed work. The two young men that came out did so on-time and worked efficiently, cleanly, quietly and were very polite. It was a pleasure to have them out and not to mention, my trees look excellent! A final point I'd like to make regards their (excellent) customer relations - as a woman, I felt respected and treated on an equal level, which is sadly a rarity in this part of the country. No question - these guys will be back to take care of ALL of my arbor needs!

These were without question the best tree service I have ever used. You could not tell they were even there after the great cleanup. They sent an arborist out both to provide the estimate as well as when the trees were trimmed to make sure they were done correctly.

Went well. All services performed as expected. Follow up from company was appreciated.

It went well. They arrived on the date they said they would and completed the work. One snag, that was not their fault, the utilitites person did not mark all of the buried lines. this required a second trip by Arbor Experts which was unfortunate.

Estimator was prompt & professional. Price was very competitive. They warned me that they were three weeks backed up on the work, which was fine. It took them about 4 weeks to show up, again, which was fine. Weather plays a factor in their schedule, obviously. They removed the trees very well, and stacked them nicely on the side of the yard, expecting the truck to remove the logs to arrive the next day. They called the next day to say the truck was broke down, it'll be Tuesday. OK. no problem. Thanks for keeping me informed. Finally, they arrived and removed the logs. The biggest problem was the fact that they used a bobcat to remove the trees, and ended up damaging my front & side yards with the bobcat. Left major deep ruts in the yard, not just grass pushed down. For some reason they chose to use the side of the yard that was sloped to run the bobcat, instead of the other side, which was flat and wouldn't have caused damage. I called them, and they sent a crew out to "fix" the repairs, which amounted to spreading a bag or two of topsoil and grass seed. They really didn't repair the problem. I wanted to like these guys, and I liked the work they did and the price, up until the bobcat issue. Would I use them again, yes, perhaps, but we'd talk more about the approach and potential yard damage first.

It went well. I loved the estimate process because the gentleman was very detailed and gave me information on my trees. The men who came to do the job were very skilled and worked hard. No issues there. The only problem was that sometimes getting in touch with them about the job and some things we needed to handle afterwards (minor issue with a broken item in our yard--they took care of it all, great) was a hassle.

Gentleman that came out for the estimate was very knowledgable and helpful. Took a little bit of back and forth to get the date for the work set, but they came when agreed upon. The work was done well. Cleanup was fantastic...couldn't hardly tell that they had been there except for this missing trees. Ash tree has looked better this season after treatment. Crossing my fingers on that one.

A crew of three showed up promptly at the appointed time. They were very friendly and polite, made sure they understood what was to be done, and went right to work. They had all the right equipment (obviously sharp hand saws, chain saws, hard hats and climbing ropes). Everything they did was done efficiently and professionally and with great attention to safety. They carried all the fallen wood and trimmed branches up from the bottom of the hill in the back of the house to their chipper/shredder in front of the house without a single whimper! Then they cleaned everything up perfectly. It was a pleasure to see a professional tree trimming team in action! And the price was extremely reasonable - it averaged $37 per man hour. I have paid more for less, and lower quality, trimming work.

Initial consolation was professional, on time and they were very knowledgeable about the problems i was having. Performed the selected services in the agreed upon time frames. Didn't know they had even been there. Trees look great.

The estimator seemed to know his business well. The two men he sent for the work were polite and did their work quickly but accurate and they cleaned up after themselves very well.

Within a week in a half, they came to give me a quote.

They were very good. The owner came out and gave me an estimate. He wrote it all up, exactly what they were going to do, step by step.

Crew followed all pr planned instructions, made some minor adjustments after consulting with us, clean up was excellent. Reviewed all work before leaving.

I called Arbor Experts for an estimate. Brian came out and was very professional and approachable. Before he left he gave me an estimate which seemed fair, so 4 days later I called to get on the schedule. Today Ruben and Brennan came out to do the work. They were very polite and easy to talk to. I had a couple of questions about how much they were going to trim, and they explained what they were going to do. When they were done they asked me to take a look to make sure that I was happy with the result. Ruben even explained some things about tree growth and pruning that will be useful in the future. Brennan and Ruben did a wonderful job. I'm very happy with how my trees look, and they cleaned up perfectly. They even got rid of a small pile of branches for me, which saved me having to make at least a couple of trips hauling them to the recycling site, in my car. I can also say that each time I called the office, the woman who handles scheduling was very helpful and friendly. From start to finish, my experience with Arbor Experts has been positive. I'm already scheduling them for a tree removal in the fall. The tree removal was supposed to have been done now, but last week I saw that the ailing tree had two active nests in it. When I called to change my work order they were completely understanding as to why I wanted to postpone that part of the work. My only unhappiness has been, not with Arbor Experts but with Angie's List. When I decided to have the work done Angie's List showed a special where you could buy $250 of work for $175, and you could buy the deal in multiples. It showed it as having three days left but when I tried to click on the offer, the 'click on' button did nothing. I tried calling Angie's List and they were closed for training and then the next day (with 2 days left on the offer), the offer vanished off the website. I was able to use a $50 off coupon from the site, but if the Angie's List site had worked properly, I would have saved $150. Needless to say, that was disappointing but I don't fault Arbor Experts, just Angie's List.

I paid $175 for $ 250 worth of service, an Angie's Deal. The person who gave the estimate was a certified arborist. He was very professional and was here at the scheduled time. An estimate was given for two separate trees. I decided to have only one tree removed, including stump grinding. The crew was here at the scheduled day and time. The job was done efficiently and all the debris was hauled away. The crew was very professional in their manner and appearance. I will use this company again.

Everyone we dealt with at Arbor Experts was extremely professional! They arrived when they said they would and the area was neat and tidy when they left. I would use them again In a heartbeat!!

Arbor Experts came out to assess damage and provide a treatment for tree in the back yard. REcommended removal and gave us estimates for that job and also trimming other trees. Very punctual and professional. Also provided us with a list of replacemant trees and costs Would highly recommend.

Amazingly team of professionals...I requested estimates from 6 companies...Arbor Experts were the only company to make contact with me. They sent five courteous young men to my home all dressed in Arbor Experts Team attire with plenty go safety gear, and they were well organized. I could not be happier with the work they did, and believe me when I tell you my standards and expectations as a customer a very high!

The first truck arrived and the team checked out the tree in question and checked out the area. They started to work by cutting back the lower branches to be used as steps to climb up the tree paying close attention to the worker's safety. He worked way the tree as far as the limbs would support his weight. When he reached his highest level, he tied off the highest portion of the trunk and cut it with the small branches still attached. This section of the trunk was cut and lowered to the ground. The remainder of the trunk was cut and lowered in the same way. When the trunk was down, it was cut into manageable size sections and placed on the truck. All branches were run thru the grinder. The stump and shallow roots were ground and mixed with dirt. All excess wood chips were included in the clean up. Everything was completed promptly in a professional way. Thanks for an excellent job!!!

Very professional. A gentleman named Brian did the site visit and cost estimate. He was very knowledgeable, as he was one of their resident arborist. Their manager, Paul Burns, was also very professional. I would use their services again and would recommend others to give them a try. I contacted other highly rated tree cutting services in Dayton, but Arbor Experts had the better price, value, and professionalism.

I needed the tree trimming services done quickly. Arbor Experts accomodated our needs by meeting with us quickly for quoting and then for completing the job. Very professional, fair (pricing), & quality, the whole way through.

Owner provided detail proposal and explained what was to be done. The workers di smart pruning (not just chop off the top) of trees. They were very aware of keeping the trees growing as it should. Great communication. Excellent clean-up. Highly recommended
