Booked on short notice and they were able to accomodate. Price charged was exactly as quoted. Two movers and a truck for under $175 total. By comparisson, another local company on the list quoted me over $230 in minimum labor time alone without truck/gas/incidentals added on top. No bumps scratches or dings to either property or any furniture. Would hire again.

They arrived on time for the estimate and for the move itself. They worked the entire time and even with a small amount of things over provided a smaller truck to get it all done in one trip. It was all day and I had everything marked where to go which helped when they unloaded. Absolutely nothing was broken but some big furniture from the old home upstairs dinged a wall in trying to get it out.Other than that I would use them in an instant for moving. They were excellent.

I discussed the difficulty in getting the David machine moved, which would require a heavy-duty cart before the move. The owner Ron and employee Todd arrived at the Club and moved the Nautilus machine into the truck with little trouble. We drove to the house and moved the machine into the front room. Getting the David machine out of the room was not possible due to the light wooden cart they had, requiring owner Glen to bring in a heavy-duty dolly. This caused an over half-hour delay, but I was not charged since I warned them previously. It was very difficult going since the David machine was bulky and difficult to handle, with most of its 750 lb weight concentrated in the rear of the unit due to the plate stack. They had moved pianos before and this is one reason I hired them as well as price. They got it out and in the truck, but did some minor damage to the driveway due to the dolly wheels digging into the asphalt a little in one spot. There wasn't really much they could do about it, and considering what they went through and were dealing with, this was a small price to pay. The machine was driven to the storage facility, unloaded and moved into the storage space with no trouble. Overall, I was most pleased with the professionalism and courtesy of the owners Ron and Glen and their employee Todd, as well as price for what they did. They made a very difficult job more bearable and pleasant, and I highly recommend them to anyone with a difficult and complicated move.

These guys do a very nice job of moving things. I had used other companies in the past with mixed outcomes. I decided to try Angies list this time to try to avoid repeating the problems I had before. My move involved a garage, and a 700 sqft., 2 bedroom apartment. I had everything pretty much packed and marked before they arrived. Two gentlemen arrived with a medium sized box truck. Within about 8 hours everything was done and we were getting settled. They did a very nice job of protecting and moving some very large furniture items. The move went very smoothly and I was very happy. If I move again, I will most certainly be calling them.

The moving team was prompt, courteous and efficient. We had a relatively small move with several items that in the end did fill the truck. All went very well. We could not be more pleased. We will use Safe and Sound Moving again.

They were on time and took time to wrap the glass that I had. Everything was done within two hours. It was a very pleasant experience.

They first came to estimate the time and number of men they would need. Than they set the time and date. The job took longer than anticipated, probably because we increased the amount of items to move! They arrived on time and began work immediately. They did not stop until they were done.

I obtained the name from Angie's list and called, pleased to get an actual person, who was one of the owners, and very friendly and accomodating regarding my winter move with very little notice. They provided boxes, and arrived promptly on the moving day. This is a real family business, the movers were the son and grandson of the initial contact, Glen. They were friendly and very professional throughout the experience. I felt they respected my possessions and home, and moved the items in a expeditious manner , yet remaining approachable and personable . The price was very fair, adn I would heartily recommend Safe and Sound movers to family and friends without hesitation. I really dislike moving, and they made it as pleasurable as can be done!

I can't say enough about this company!! they were fantastic. They were very flexible about our move date because our closing kept getting pushed back. They arrived on time with a crew of 3 very friendly guys who were very considerate of our property. They never stood around doing nothing - kept moving the whole time. they were well worth every penny!!

Ron gave me an estimate over the phone and had a very competitive price. He quoted me between $815-900 and the whole job ended up being $815. They had great service, were timely, did a great job moving my things and didn't break anything in the process.

We had to procure a moving company for my niece two weeks before she had to relocate to another city for a new job. Safe and Sound Moving Company's quote was substantially less than other movers we contacted; and they were able to move her on the day requested. They loaded the truck the night before, arriving punctually and working fast and efficiently to get everything loaded. They arrived at her new place right on time the next morning and got right to work. Again, they were fast and efficient; and they were extremely careful with both her belongings and the freshly-painted apartment walls. The move went incredibly smoothly. I would highly recommend this firm. The price was right, and the service was great.

AMAZING crew! They worked with us to hit our target weekend, even scheduled us on Sunday at no extra charge. They were polite, quick, efficient and careful. Top notch all the way around. Could not recommend more highly. We got 4 men and a truck for the same rate as and quot;two men and a truckand quot; was quoting us. We had just planned on them moving all the items we couldn't haul in our own cars, but then they were so fast and offered to pack some things, so we got a lot more done. Everything went without a hitch. They were super-careful with all our items, nothing even scratched. Used lots of pads and wrap, very clean and professional. Amazing experience!

I called and left a message. Ron called back and left me a message. I called him back, and he said he was in the middle of moving a piano, so could I please call him back later? So I did. Apparently, this small business doesn't have a 'receptionist'; which all in all is a good thing -- first, it helps them to keep their overhead low, and second, if you want to ask a detailed question about the move, you can, and you'll be talking to The Man who knows. Anyway they quoted me a very good price and we established a date and time.On the agreed date and time, the movers were not there. I waited 15 minutes and called the number I had called before, and received a strange "Out of service" recording. I looked in the phone book and found another number. I called and talked to another man (Dean??), who was amazingly nice and helpful. He called Ron's wife then called me back to explain that Ron was having problems with his cell phone. He said that if Ron didn't show up soon, I should call him back. Ron and his helper did arrive shortly, though. Ron was sincerely apologetic, explaining not only did he have trouble with his phone, but that his GPS had run out of battery. They had trouble finding the place.The move itself was handled excellently: they took proper care and precautions with packing and handling the furniture. When moving it to the other house, they even helped me move the temporary furniture out to make room, and then arranged the new furniture as I wished. Ron and his assistant were both very kind, polite, respectful, and obviously very skilled.

Working with Ron was as much of a pleasure as I think moving can be. From the first time he came to provide an estimate, it was obvious that he was interested in helping make the move go as smoothly, quickly, and inexpensively as possible. He gave us a lot of tips for how to pack to get the house ready to move with the least effort possible. He kept contact with us over the weeks up until the move to make sure things were going well and answer any questions that we had. When we were close to ran running out of boxes for packing, he brought over a huge stack of used and new boxes -- the new ones for $1 each, the used ones for free. While other companies had said our move would take two trucks (which would, of course, cost twice as much as just one), Ron said they'd charge us for their big 28' truck and a team of 4 movers, and they'd bring along their smaller 18' truck for free. The evening before the move, he brought over the smaller truck, took a look at the state of our house, and started wrapping furniture and loading the truck. The day of, he arrived with a team of 5 movers, the larger truck, and his van promptly at 8am, as he'd suggested. By about noon, they'd loaded the two trucks and the van full and were ready to head to our new house -- but they still had a bunch of bulky stuff in our garage (an A-frame swing, snow blower, lawn mower, and various other items). We arrived at the new house and they unloaded the trucks. Around 3pm, all but two of the movers took a break to get lunch, while the other two kept working. Those two needed to leave by the time the others returned to finish unloading. By 5pm, they'd finished unloading and left with the larger truck to get our remaining furniture. They returned within about an hour and a half with the 28' truck almost completely full. Unloading continued until they finally finished around 9pm. The final price was $500 less than the next lower estimate that we'd received, and those other movers would have needed to make a second (unanticipated) trip as well. We weren't charged for any of Ron's time the night before, and only for the hours each mover was actually working. Additionally, the fifth mover was provided and quot;at cost,and quot; and so added a small premium compared to the amount of work he accomplished. The movers were very efficient, we just had a huge amount of stuff. They also had a great attitude throughout the day, despite being obviously hungry, tired, and thirsty at various points in time. Working with Ron and his team, our move went as smoothly as I think it could have gone, thanks in part to his advance preparation.

After reviewing the reports of this company, I gave them a call for an estimate and to see if they would be available on the date needed. Ron was able to give me an estimate over the phone after talking in detail about what the job would entail. Estimate came very close to the final bill. He also gave me some helpful tips to keep the cost down on the move (they bill by the hour) such as breaking down the beds, boxing and moving what we could do on our own, etc. The movers were on time and were polite, friendly and efficient. They carefully wrapped the furniture and made sure that every piece was where it needed to be at the new home. We are a military family accostomed to many moves, and I will have to say that this was the best move (albeit a short move) we've ever had!

I spoke with Ron on the phone to set up the move. He was very helpful and informative telling me exactly what would happen on moving day and providing tips to make the process easier. The team arrived right on time and got to work right away. Both Ron and Art were very professional and handled my furniture with care and concern. They brought all needed materials to be clean and efficient with the move. I would certainly hire them again!

We were rescheduled due to an ice storm and then again on the moving date the owners Mother passed away, (so sorry to hear this) however, they quickly found another crew, preformed the move a few hours later than originally scheduled. Both gentlemen who came were very professional and helpful. They worked quickly and flawlessly. Their price was very good and the work was excellent. I would highly recommend their services and would certainly use them again in the future. I have utilized many moving services over the years but this was THE BEST! :-)

I contacted Safe and Sound about 3 days prior to my move, was a last minute decision to outsource the moving itself. I was provided with a very competitive estimate for their time and cost. They showed up on time, handled all things being moved with care and shrink wrapped and covered everything they needed to ensure nothing would get damaged. It was freezing outside in general and this was done late in the evening on a Friday. I was extremely impressed with their job in comparison to other movers I've used previously in the area. I will definitely use them and refer them to anyone moving in the future!

There were three people who worked. They took everything from my old house to the new house, unloaded them, and separated them. They also set up everything and finished the work in 5 hours. I was totally impressed with their work. I even gave them a tip. They were truly professional. They did not take any break in between. They finished the work fast and went home. I would rate them a A++. They were awesome. They were very responsive, and they took care of everything. They handled each box according to the instructions given. I would recommend them to everybody.

One of the owners came to the near-Dayton address, was shown what needed moving, and gave me his card with $350 written on it as the estimate. He was friendly and polite to my relatives and me. After calling two other movers to which Angie's List had referred me, I picked this one because (1) they got back to me when they said they would and (2) their estimate was for my small move, rather than a much higher per-job minimum. On moving day, the owner who'd done the estimate came back with someone else who may have been another of the four owners. Both men were competent, efficient, and actually seemed to find moving fun! Their amazing good cheer made a sad and difficult situation much easier. My relatives and I were very glad to have met them. They stuck to their $350 estimate, and I was happy to write them the check.

Glenn and Tim did a great job. They called the day before to confirm our time and address. They showed up right on schedule, and worked quickly to load the truck. At the other end, they were quick and efficient. Even so, there was not one scratch or dent on any of our furniture. It was a hot day in July when we moved, but they had plenty of hustle. Our large pieces were carefully placed, and they even relocated a large hutch, when we changed our minds about where we wanted it. I would recommend them to anyone contemplating a move in this area.
