Ron was very accommodating. I originally had an appointment for my move to take place on July 25, 2014. However, my new landlord had the incorrect floor plan ready for me. My landlord had to prepare a different unit for me and promised that it would be ready on July 31, 2014. I called Ron and was worried that he might not be able to move me on that date, but much to my relief, he agreed. However, my landlord called again and said my unit would not be ready until August 1, 2014. I had to call Ron a second time to reschedule and he very kindly agreed. I thought that there may have been a very understandable extra charge for rescheduling twice on short notice, but there was not. On the day of the move, Ron's crew was friendly, efficient, and very careful with my belongings. While they were packing my washer and dryer, they asked me what kind of plug was at my new apartment. When I didn't know, they suggested that I call my landlord to find out because not every building has the same number of prongs on their washer and dryer plugs. I'm so glad they suggested that, otherwise I would not have been able to use my washer and dryer right away. While they packed, I went and picked up a new plug. I met Ron's crew at my new apartment and they unpacked while I signed my lease. When I came back, everything was put neatly in place and they were bringing in a few last items. When they asked for the new plug, it turned out that I got the wrong one. They donated an extra 4 prong plug they had in their moving truck which was very nice and greatly appreciated. Ron's crew also hooked up my washer and dryer (except for the hoses due to liability issues). This was the least stressful moving process I've ever had and very reasonably priced. This is not my last move and I'll definitely be sure to give Ron a call again!

Ron and his crew were fantastic! I was only able to move after work and only had one day and they were very accommodating and handled my things with care. Ron even contacted me after the move to return small pieces of my fridge (the ice tray grid and a basket from the freezer) that were left in his truck. I would highly recommend Ron and his company.

We were a little uneasy going with a smaller moving company, but Ron was very easy to work with and was always available to answer questions before the move. He has a whole team of guys who work extremely hard and communicate well. I was very happy with the entire process. Ron's estimate for the job was very close. I knew we would go over some due to a large amount of furniture we had in the basement. There were no surprises with the billing. Ron even came back to pick up the boxes we used in the move which saved me a trip and reused the boxes, which was great.

They had a tricky situation with the property that I was having things moved from, it was not an easy exit, lots of stairs and kind of narrow, but they managed well. They did what they said they would do, and in the price range that suited me. They were very careful.

They excelled at the most important thing -- moving our belongings safely and without damage to the homes. They communicated well and had a fun time despite the many challenges we threw at them. The only downside was they planned a full-length truck, but brought a smaller one. It meant 2 trips instead of 1, but they accounted for that in the bill. I'd use them again.

There is an owner manager at Safe and Sound Moving Co. and the problem with that is that he has some stuff of his own. He wasn't there all the time, he had his wife stay to supervise. He didn't use his own employees and I think that's because he was doing another job somewhere else. I think the other workers stole from me. I think they stole some money and some other things. I called him and told him I won't pay the full amount because I knew there was some money missing. It wasn't a lot of money but it was money I keep aside for the bills. It was not a satisfactory move and I thought it would be because he appeared to be reasonable. He quoted an amount and it was very different in terms of the amount I paid. Many things were not arranged in the new place and were in disorder. I still have to put them in order. This is not completely due to them but it's partly due to me because I had knee joint surgery. The new apartment is not far from the old apartment and I was not happy with the move at all with Safe and Sound Moving Co. I think the problem was that he hired hourly rate workers just for this job and you can't trust them. I told him he didn't do a good job so I wasn't going to pay him. He didn't do his job properly. Finally I let in and I paid him. I think he takes in too much work and can't manage it well. He can manage small jobs and shorter distances. Mine wasn't a small job because I lived in my old apartment for many years. He refused to sign the contract and wouldn't give me a set price. I would never use this company again. They didn't place items in the new apartment well, I had to employ another mover to help me place them right.

They were very professional. Took very good care of all of our belongings! Best moving company I have ever used.

Ron came to our townhouse rental and walked through with us, noting the number of items, boxes etc we had. We discussed having his company pack up our stuff. He pointed out we could save ourselves money by packing our own kitchen. It was a local move so we ended up moving our own kitchen and electronics. He started to quote us an estimate based on how many hours they actually worked. But then we requested a flat rate which is what we agreed to. For the first moving day, they had two packers work most the day putting things in boxes. It took about eight hours. There were a couple large items they moved that night. The next day, two different people showed up and hauled all the boxes and items to the truck, drive over to the new place, and dropped it off. They did three different truck runs. It was about a ten hour day for them. We were moving from a three bedroom townhouse with garage to a four bedroom two story. They used a mixture of new and re-used boxes and hauled away all the boxes we didn't want two weeks later. All were nice careful friendly people. Ron showed up at start and end of the days. The atmosphere with the crew is pretty relaxed. This is a local crew who all know each other. Great service for great price.

It is a one man crew; owner and operator and he was fabulous. My furniture arrived safe and placed in the proper rooms without me even here. He was a pleasure to deal with.

I needed my treadmill and piano moved, and my request was last-minute. Safe and Sound Moving Company responded to my message almost instantly, and then scheduled an appointment the same day -- working around my schedule -- to move the items for me. They were professional, courteous and punctual. Their rate was a little more than I had planned on paying, but the fact that they worked around my schedule, got the job done so quickly and efficiently, and were so professional made up for that -- I would gladly hire them again!

They met with us prior to the move to help us plan. We were able to move some of the items ourselves and then have the guys come in to move furniture and tons of other misc. It was pouring rain by the end of the day on the day we moved, but the guys kept on working hard through it all. They are a good team and Ron is the best to work with. I'd suggest having him on site if you have any really tricky moves.

They were pretty good, however they were not as careful as they should have been other than that they did a good job.

They were super friendly, prompt, helped with a few other items and i would definitely use them again.

We needed a couple of couches moved around the house. I called the company, and they had a crew nearby that had just finished a job. They were able to stop by right away and move our furniture items. They did a great job and were very careful in how they moved the items. They got the job done quick and were very professional.

Eddie and Cory were extremely organized and worked very fast. Professional but friendly and engaging. Everything arrived on time with no damage. I cannot say enough good things about these men and this company. Great family business. I was lucky to find them.

This company by far exceeds what one would expect for movers. They are very professional and ensured that all of our items were well protected prior to loading and unloading from their truck. This was my second move using Safe and Sound and for local moving needs, would highly recommend their services. There pricing is very acceptable for the services hey provide.

This is the second time I've used Ron's company and the move went smooth again. He did a great job moving my household furniture from one place to the next! The price and quality of work was excellent!

The moving experience was excellent! I've had many moves in my past and this one was by far the best! Ron and his crew took great care in loading and moving my furniture. I would highly recommend using Ron's company for any and all moves!

They arrived right on time. Moved all if our heavy items as we requested. They took great care of all of our furniture like it was their own. They offered to let me dust off items while the were moving the pieces. They moved my couch 3 times w/o any complaints. Was very concerned that everything was just as I wanted it even after moving for 7.5 hrs! Safe and Sound is a great company and I would happily use them again. I have already recommended them.

This was the smoothest move I've ever experienced! (And I moved around quite a bit when I was Active Duty USAF). Ron and his crew did a fantastic job! I couldn't have asked for any better service and communication!

Great from the first call our BEST MOVE EVER !

I contacted Ron around the 27th of July to have him come out and give an estimate for moving large furniture from one house to another. We are moving homes and are trying to minimize the cost, so we really wanted his company to take care of the things that we would have trouble moving ourselves (fridge, 2 living room sets, a dining room set and extra chairs, 2 beds, 4 dressers, 3 desks and several book cases and end tables). He came out the 28th, and we showed him the furniture we wanted moved. He gave me a quote based on an hourly rate they charge, and recommended I do as much disassembly as possible before hand as well as clear the path from furniture to door. He was able to work with the date and time we wanted to move without hassle. I gave him a call the week of the move to confirm the furniture was ready and we were still on for the move. He arrived with two others on time the day of the move, did a quick walk through with his guys and immediately started loading up the truck. They took no breaks and moved fairly quick considering the care they took with our furniture. The new house had switchback stair cases, a narrow front door, and the laundry room on the second story--a movers nightmare. They didn't dent a single wall, don't know how they did it. The gentlemen with Safe and Sound movers are a wonderful group of hardworkers who took extreme care with our belongings.

The move could not have gone better. The crew was professional, courteous and hard working.
