Quality Waterproofing OD LLC

Work began in August. The crew didn't use cement forms, piled cement high to cover where crew stepped in the poured cement, then they said they'd saw the edges smooth and grind down the mounds of cement, which did not work. After over 4 months of excuses, they finally claimed they had prepped the area (They had not.) and sent a subcontractor they hired to do the work, but they made US pay the contractor they hired. But, because the area wasn't correctly prepped, we needed to pay the contractor more to do the job right. Then, QW tried to bill us for work they didn't do. The owner can be very charming and offers a lot of excuses, but cannot seem to manage his business. The owner is just never around and couldn't keep track of the job and no one else did either. We will never hire this firm again. (Note: We typically leave good reviews for the many contractors we have worked with over the years with our real estate business and our own home. It is out of character for us to feel the public needs to be warned about this company.)

We had basement waterproofed in June 2019. That went ok, quality of work wasn’t great, but improve the water in the basement. After significant amount of rain basement was wet again. After a couple of weeks of daily phone calls to Quality, they final come out to look at the issues. It was determined sump pump wasn’t working and some drainage wasn’t done properly. This was blamed on a supervisor that was no longer with the company. Beginning of February, 2020 the water was back because the sump pump failed. Well we are on sump pump number 3. Numerous no show, no call missed appointments, left us juggling work, schedules etc. Hounding the office with phone calls trying to see when this would be rectified, were ignored. We left numerous VM telling Quality that we were having to set alarms every 2 hrs. 24 hrs a day to go “jiggle” the pump to keep it from overflowing. This went on for 9 days. Finally they sent someone to install the 3 sump pump. He was unsure of how to install it, because Quality Waterproofing provided him with wrong and pump and no training, he was clueless. When he didn’t know what to do he disappeared. Left our Pump Spy system in a puddle of water on the floor, attempted to shove sump pump in the hole, didn’t attach the proper PVC pipe and water was spraying up to the basement ceiling. The cover would no longer fit because of using the wrong pipe so you can contain the water spray. After 3 weeks of getting the run around, we had to hire another company to install sump pump . We have to have basement dry because of other scheduled construction projects. We are also physically exhausted from waking up every 2 hrs to jiggle the sump pump. Tony the owner said he did everything we asked, and that we were mean people. This shows a HUGE disconnect between admin staff, management and skilled labor. There was NOTHING of quality with this company.

This company had done some waterproofing on a home that I recently purchased, and they sold me on their "lifetime warranty" (which I had to purchase). Shortly after moving in, the site where they'd done some crack injection began to leak. It took 5 phone calls (most of which went unanswered) to get them to schedule someone to come out. The site was injected in the same places, and continues to leak. Now I've contacted them another 4 times, and the furthest I've gotten is for them to tell me that they're very busy and will need to call me back within 20 minutes to schedule... that was 2 weeks ago. As far as I can tell, neither the waterproofing or the warranty seem to be worthwhile. I've given up on trying to get them to stand behind their work, and I'm filing within the BBB.

arrived on time- did the job- cleaned up and was on his way...efficient speedy and did a GOOD JOB.

I have used this company twice now for two separate cracks in my basement wall. Both times I have used the company the phone receptionist was very polite and attentive. I was scheduled quickly and the person performing the work arrived timely. The cracks that I have had repaired have not leaked again and I have a solid warranty on them if they do for no extra cost. I would use Quality Waterproofing again.

I am selling my parents house. I live in one city and the house is in another. So it takes a part of my day to drive the 45-50 minute one way drive to get to my parents house. The estimator called and stated he was going to be late. He showed up 45 minutes late. The whole evaluation of the leak was less than 2 minutes. I received an email later that day with quote. It seemed reasonable. I scheduled the repair. I personally couldn't make it that day so I sent my husband in my place. The guy called 15 minutes prior and stated he would be late, he had just arrived to his earlier appointment. He ended up being 2 hours late. Miscommunication on me and my husband's part, they couldn't find the leak and we again had to reschedule. I called and complained about being late. I was told if we rescheduled, we would get a $50 discount. I agreed. On this second attempt, the repairman shows up early and takes off the drywall. There is too much water leaking through and it can't be repaired. I have to reschedule again and hope that the weather cooperates and it is dry enough. We also determined that the water was coming through cracks in brick steps at front door, but that wasn't part of the quote the guy tells me. He then asks me to take pictures and send to his supervisor because his phone is too old to do that. I do and that is supposed to be quoted and part of the repair. So the 3rd attempt to fix, the hole is finally dry enough. He fixes interior crack, but does not fix the exterior. First rainfall, water pours in through the repair. Also, since they weren't repairing the drywall, when he took it off he did such a haphazard job that I had to do extra work just to repair the wall. I have since hired someone else to complete the job that should have been done in the first place. It rained the other day like cats and dogs...no water came into the house!!!!

They did a great job! It dries so much better down there. The guy was off the charts and so polite and did a fantastic job.

Workers were prompt,courteous worked h****** hot day. Did good job.

All seals held until this Spring we had the melting the of two feet of snow on our roof accompanied by two solid days of drenching rain when one leak reappeared. Our house is located in an area that has a lot of clay and gets "swampy" when there is a lot of water. When Quality Waterproofing was called about the problem, they came out to our house, helped us remove the paneling and trim work in the basement that covered the leaking area to determine the exact location and the cause of the leak. They infused the leaking area with a special epoxy that expanded into the crack of the foundation from the inside and fixed the problem. This was almost a year after their initial work on our foundation, and we had decided to take the alternative of sealing the crack from the outside. Even so, they did the additional fix at no charge. Do's and Don'ts: If you have a foundation leak, DO have it sealed from the inside if you can at all do it - even if it means removing basement finish work. DO call Quality Waterproofing. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Two years ago, our basement was almost destroyed by a rainstorm one morning. All of the companies I called told me they couldn't come out to the house for a week or more. I needed help THAT day. Quality Waterproofing is the ONLY company who came out THAT SAME DAY and started solving issues immediately!!!!! They worked until the job was done to our satisfaction. Basement has been dry for 2 years, first time in 40 year history of house. Because of our great experience with them I hired them to work on a second property that I needed to sell quickly. They came out right away, solved the problem and I sold the house in TWO days! Have recommended to others who have also been satisfied. Quality Waterproofing was a God-send.

repair was done on time and as expected - have not had any leaks but original problem was subject to heavy rainfall. Quality does include a lifetime warrantee for their work.

It did not go well at all. They didn't show up numerous times. They did not honor their guarantee. The wall still leaks, and they kept our money! The guarantee was worthless!!!

This was a disaster from the first day. Tony was no where on the job while his crew broke up my floor, unknowingly to me until they were gone they traipsed through my laundry room to get water and also drug in a garden hose of mien from outside and destroyed it in the process. AS expected dust was everywhere. I was instructed not to touch any of the patched or repoured areas for several days. Therefore on visual inspection what looked decent was paid for. Unfortunately when it dried there were unlevel areas where they patched, the floor was rough and a dust trap, and even the repoured area was uneven. I called to have them come back and fix the problems. Twice I rescheduled only to have them "called off" three minutes before they were supposed to arrive on a Monday morning. I started calling the owners cell number incessantly to get him to take responsibility for the poor job. He eventually agreed to come over and look at the floor, only he did not bring any equipment with him to fix the problem. He rescheduled and cam over later in the week with the wrong equipment which further damaged the floor. He then said part fo the floor needed to be broken and repoured again and another part needed a different grinder than what he brought. Instead of getting the new grinder right then, he rescheduled. He assured me he would do the work. Today a member of his crew arrived without a firm idea of what was supposed to be done. He started asking me exactly what areas to break up and I stated he needed to call Tony to find out. He could not contact the owner and left the job. No rescheduling no assurance (not that those are worth anything from this company) nothing. I wish I could say that it was a nice guy with bad help; but this company is horrible and I blame it on the unavailability fo the boss Tony Rice. I felt good about hiring a veteran at first. Now I regret ever starting this project. NEVER HIRE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY WORK! YOU WILL REGRET IT!

The "waterproofing" lasted about one year, and then we began to see the exterior waterproofing concrete sperate from the foundation. We also began to see more water in the basement as a result. I had Quality Waterproofing back out, they claimed that they were asked to do a band-aid job by the previous home owners. They informed the home owners the job would only last one year, to which the home owners said they would have it done correctly the year after. The home owners instead sold the house to us, and did not have the remaining work done. Quality Waterproofing informed me that they will not warranty their existing work, as our concrete driveway and sidewalk need to be excavated, and re-made to push the water away from the house. They provided me an impromptu quote, which was about $3200 to do said work. They did say they would come out and redo one of the interior cracks in the basement wall. This was some help in reducing water seepage into the basement. They would not redo the existing concrete which was separating from the house foundation along the sidewalk and driveway. I found this to be a bit absurd, while the previous homeowners certainly were dishonest in their dealings with Quality Waterproofing. Quality Waterproofing took the money, performed the shoddy band-aid fix and they put an equally shoddy warranty on it. The home inspector should of caught this poor work and informed me, and Quality Waterproofing should of not performed such a poor job if they could not warranty it. It is not my fault the original home owners lied, and it is not my fault they performed such poor work. I will have another contractor out in March to quote the job and fix the issue with an actual warranty worth something.

Fairly well but they didn't communicate well with me. They left and never followed up with me although I thought they were going to. I had family in house while they were working but I was at work. My family told me they would come back or call but no one every contacted me again. They did a sloppy job of the digging the drain. Instead of cutting the sod out and replacing it over the digging area, they just dug and left open dirt there making the yard look bad. I needed more drains attached to gutters and buried but no way I would hire them to do it they way the did the original work.

He was very kind and informative, gave me some very good advice.

The work was completed quickly, and when there was a problem Tony came out and fixed it.

It worked out fine. Nothing in particular stood out to me; they were fine.

Left house a mess, mud tracked all over basement and up the stairs, buckets of leftover concrete were obviously cleaned in my yard and debris was left behind. Initial install was completely wrong, the guy that came back to inspect admitted this right off the bat and arranged to have it fixed. During the course of 4 or 5 more visits we also discovered the exterior portion of the work was also done incorrectly and had to be redone. Over the course of my experience with this company our basement flooded several times due to the poor workmanship and absolute boneheaded workers from this company.

Toni was very good to work with. He was quick in giving an estimate and did not try to oversell. He looked at our basement and came up with a solution that would work for us. He was very nice to schedule together with our plumber so we did not have to dig into the basement floor twice. While digging the inside trench he also took out an old fireplace and removed all the debris from it. he came back to finish the floor drain after the plumber was done and poured concrete on his and the plumbers floor "job". He filled in the cracks and agreed to add an additional one that we missed when getting the initial quote. Cutting the window was a little more tricky and he had to come back to clean the corners for the window to be square. Initially the sump pump waste line leaked but he came back out and fixed it immediately. i would use him again. We did recommend him to friends who then ended up using him before he started the job at our place.

Tony from Quality Waterproofing was the first of the 3 contractors I contacted to call me back. He scheduled an estimate at my convenience, in the evening, the next day. He looked thoroughly at the wall crack, asked questions about what was previously done, when it was done, dug under the garage floor to view the materials underneath, etc. He provided a written estimate the following day via email. When I called him back about 3 weeks later, he was able to schedule my 2-day job for the following week. The contractors showed up on time, went straight to work, were very courteous and explained what they were doing. Tony was available the first day in person and via cell phone every time I called to ask a question. They charged the same price as the estimate. Great experience!

Very punctual and professional. We simply chose to go with another company due to price.
