We had a complete tear off on our roof. They Attempted to rebuild PARTS of our porch by replacing trusses and DID NOT use a level, they actually put joist hangers up to secure them and didn't level a single one, when asked why he said because you didn't tell us to. They put the trusses right under the window sill and didn't leave any room for the OSB, shingles, OR flashing so they had to take them down again AND STILL did not level them. They used brand new 2x4's and cut them too short and instead of cutting a new one they shimed pieces in. They piled 1600 pounds of shingles on our stucco pillar, it collapsed. They put flashing on our house incorrectly and did not couter flash. We had to call him EVERY day that work was done on the porch and had to tell him that is was wrong. He refused to take responsibility for the damage he casued to my home, promised things and would then say he never said that, but he would figure up a price. They didn't even cut the shingles straight along the edge of my house. The underside of the porch looks like a massacre with a nail gun. They shot the nail gun all under the decorative part of my roof without any thought. Nails are EVERYWHERE. he put deck flashing OVER my window sills and used clear silicone...my roof is sticky! And it shines like a disco ball. Chuck asked us for money one day on the porch and my husband said, is this coming form insurance, he said yeah, then 2 days later when we were tying to settle some money he said oh that wasn't insurance, that was from your pocket. This guy is a piece of work, he showed us a "portfolio" and his credentials, BBB and all that jazz. When it came down to the damage that was done to our house we requested his insurance and bonding only to be told he has no idea who insures him! REALLLLYYY??I believe this guy was a total rip off artist. We ended up kicking him off site, he claimed that the work was done and that we still owe him, not true. We attempted to call him for a week and then he showed up to my house and accused me of taking money out of his account, threatened a law suit, claimed that the job was good and then asked if he could finish .....but he said the last nail was in a week ago. I have had 2 companies out here after what he has done and they are baffled. The work was called amature. They said probably the first job they did. We are now trying to find someone to complete the work. This guy was asking for about 17,000.......there is NO WAY the work he did was good enough for this. His sons actually did the work....thank god one is in college, he should NOT do this for a living. We took it to the BBB and told them what has happened. It took me forever to find someone to do the work and then I pick this guy. I feel like an idiot! If this guy goes out of business it would be a blessing. They are horrible contractors. I can't even imagine the work they have done elsewhere.
