My spouse and I attend 3 days per week on a regular basis. The health club has all of the essential equipment for a complete workout. Exercise machines, free weights, treadmills, step machines and elipticals. They also offer ongoing exercise classes like dance aerobics, yoga, and zumba, A pool is available as is a short running/walking track. The only thing I do not like is the fact that once you join, you are often left to your own resources to design a safe and effective workout routine. They offer specific help via paid trainers that you can hire at an hourly rate, So, the membership fee does not get you free help from a trainer: that requires an extra cost. Many new members pay for the trainers services to design an exercise program, and this may be a better way to go if you are not familiar with the equipment or with the best strategies for weight loss and conditioning. Premier Fitness has about a half dozen locations and membership allows use of any of the facilities. The Woodman Drive location is ladies only. Overall, I have found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The members of the club are friendly and helpful as well. Many members meet workout buddies at the club and motivate each other to keep at it.
Description of Work: I use the Premier Fitness to work out and exercise. I have a 4 year membership and received a reasonable rate since this was a renewal of our membership. . We received a rate of $525 total for 2 memberships (husband and wife in this case) for period of 4 years (48 months). It was like buying a car. Some pay more, some pay less. I would encourage you to ask "What is the best price you can offer today". Current promotion is for $1 per day, which is $365 for one year or over $1400 for 4 years. You may be able to secure a better rate if you sign up for multiple years. Most people do not attend consistently, just as most people stop using equipment they buy for the home. Like dieting, a health club membership requires motivation to get the best value by scheduling regular workout times and attending classes, which are free for members..

The whole business is a scam. Intially they lure you by announcing that you won one month membership. And you think, great, I am going to go get a one month pass and try out the place. Wrong! They are selling you a 3 year contract. During the whole interview, the word contract was never mentioned nor the fact that it is 3 years. So you go by what they say and sign up. But what you are actually signing is the contract. On top of that they are charging you interest on the monthly rate because they treat it as a loan that you have to pay off. Don't get duped!!! It is a big scam.
Description of Work: This is a big scam to sell you a 3 year fitness contract with interest on it as well.

Humiliating Treatment? Sue? Today- My daughter joined and was initially pleased. When she started, patrons were allowed to sign in at the tanning booth, go work out and come back when their name was at the top of the list. She did so, but evidently the policy changed approximately 3-4 weeks prior to her next visit. The policy change was posted on a very small sign, which unfortunately she did not notice. She worked out, came back to the tanning area and her name was at the top of the list so she proceeded to go into the tanning booth. After she had undressed, she heard a knock on the door. The staff person insisted that she get dressed and come out! She had evidently "jumped the line" unbeknownst to her. How humiliating! The next time she came in, a large, readable sign was posted. In addition, she was NOT informed by the salesperson that a one year contract was available and misleading information was given about using the freeze option for her contract while she was at college. When I went in to voice my concerns, the blond haired woman at the desk was not receptive in the least. I stated that it seemed that they were only interested in collecting people's money. She proceeded to lean across the desk, get within 6 inches of my face and raised her voice stating her opinion rather vociferously. Another woman with short black going gray hair came up and used the *expletive* word! Yikes! When I stated that I had not leaned over their desk, gotten in their faces or used profanity, the gray haired woman replied that she had no problems using profanity. Whew! They refused to give their names and said they would revoke my daughters contract. Wow! Amazingly awful behavior. They called my daughter a liar, etc. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau, Ohio Attorney General, etc. People should be able to express a complaint to a business and be listened to respectfully. I did not raise my voice, but I was upset. I would strongly advise others to avoid them!
