Oakwood Cleaning Service

Everything smelled fresh and was sparkling after they left! Mika is very easy to work with and pays attention to details. She asked for my feedback right away and lets her cleaning team know of any changes or tweaks that need to be made in the services.

Oakwood Cleaning Services did an excellent job on a very dirty, very difficult clean up of a one time move out job. We where moving cross country and had to leave the house in there very capable hands. They came in after we had already set out on our grand adventure, came in and cleaned EVERYTHING, even though it took them 9 hours to do it. Very happy with there job overall, would ask them to do it again but sadly they don't make day trips to Seattle.

The ladies were on time and efficient. I had met with Mika the day before; she did a walk - through; asked about what I wanted, and gave me a price. I am thrilled to have a spring cleaning done during my "Spring Break" week. In fact, I am planning to have them come every other week. I have very hard water, and have to use straight vinegar on things in the kitchen from time to time. I had hoped the tub and tile in the bath would come cleaner....when I asked about it, one of the women went out to her car for more cleaning supplies and re-did it. She then suggested a spray I could use in between cleanings. I was very pleased.

I had a bathroom remodeled and the contractor did NOTHING to limit construction dust - it was throughout my house; upstairs and down, in closets, drawers. the drywall dust was so bad you could see it in the air. Mike and Michele cleaned everything. When there were areas that needed recleaning, Mika was out Immediately and took care of it. I am highly recommending her and her team. They were prompt, effecient and pleasant to work with.

I do not recommend this service. I debated whether to give them a D or C overall. Throughout the 4 months (9 cleanings) I had a number of issues, some major and some minor. I gave feedback to the owner each time there was an issue and she made adjustments each time. However, she was never able to correct the primary problem which was inconsistency of service. The bottom line was that because of the continued issues, it required too much work on my part to constantly give feedback and ask for things to be corrected again and again. Here are the specifics: 1. First cleaning ? The team left areas in the Master bath in the corners where the tub meets the tile and the wall dirty and left dust on all of the towel bars. The rest of the cleaning was outstanding. I sent my feedback in an email and never received a response so I called the owner to give the same feedback verbally prior to the next cleaning. She assured me all would be corrected and it was. 2. Second cleaning ? I was home due to a snow storm (they came anyway, a plus) so I was able to observe. During this cleaning, the team lead ran over a large gel mat with a vacuum cleaner and damaged it (see picture). The team lead immediately informed me and told me she would contact the owner for reimbursement. I emailed pictures and also called the owner. I was able to get a new mat for less than what I originally paid and sent the paid receipt to the owner. The owner had me deduct the cost from the next cleaning but requested that she be able to take the damaged mat. I was ok with that but it seemed like she was questioning my integrity. Also, she never responded to my emails, only my calls. During the final call on this issue when she told me to take the cost off my next cleaning, she requested I put a review on Angie?s list. I did not at that time because I thought it was premature given that I had only 2 cleanings with one needing corrections and the other causing damage. 3. Third cleaning ? no issues. 4. Fourth cleaning ? The master bedroom was not adequately vacuumed. It appeared as though it was either a very quick vacuuming or the bag was full by that time. Additionally, I found a small rug in one of the rooms balled up in a corner. This time the owner responded promptly to my email. 5. Fifth cleaning ? A spray bottle with diluted bleach that belonged to me was missing (they supply all cleaning products except for bleach). After an email to the owner, they returned it at the next cleaning. 6. Sixth cleaning ? My wood laminate floors looked like they had not been cleaned at all or the cleaning was very cursory or with a dirty mop. The sweeping/ vacuuming had been done but not the ?wet? cleaning. There were footprints and streaks everywhere. I emailed (no response ? the owner said she didn't get the email) and called. The owner agreed to come out on the next business day (a Monday) and redo the floors. Also at this cleaning they had left a trash bag by the front entry which my son ended up taking to the garbage but not before it had leaked and left a small puddle on the front entry floor. 7. Seventh cleaning ? I left a hand written note at the sixth cleaning and then followed up by email. I sent two emails requesting a change to the cleaning date. I did not receive any response and had to call to change it successfully. 8. Eighth cleaning ? I again had issue with the laminate floor cleaning but this time there was an obvious residue on the floor. As soon as I walked on it (even though the cleaning had been done two hours earlier) I left footprints everywhere. I had guests that night and did not have time to do anything about it before they came. After my guests left, the floors looked horrible due to the residue and footprints. I did not address this with the owner because by this point I was losing patience. In its place, I left a note for the team lead the next time asking her to clean the laminate floors with my cleaning product and mop. 9. Ninth cleaning ? The team used my product and mop on the floors and they turned out great. However, the glass top stove was not cleaned properly and had streaks and residue stuck to it (see picture). My daughter ran here hand over my granite counters and found residue/food in several places. It was hard to see because of the granite but was obvious to the touch. It appeared that a damp rag had been run over the stove and counter but it was not a thorough cleaning. I contacted the owner by email. She apologized and offered to redo the counters/ stove the next business day but I declined. Also, my daughter had come over early after getting off work and observed the team during the cleaning. She said there were four people in my house cleaning. I was upset because there should have only been two. This may explain some of the inconsistency. The owner offered to switch team leads but I did not trust that this would resolve the problem. After the ninth cleaning, I decided to get another service, one that I had considered before but that had been a close second. In summary, of the nine cleanings I had cleanliness issues six times, other issues two times and zero issues only once. As I said upfront the inconsistency of the cleaning service was the primary problem as well as inconsistency in responding to requests. The events that occurred required time consuming attention on my part. One of the primary reasons I hire a service is to save time. Having to constantly address issues took too much of my time. My speculation is that this service has grown too fast due to the positive Angie?s list reviews and they have not been able to handle the workload or they may have hired inexperienced/problem people to keep up with the workload. I do not recommend using them at this time.

I was extremely pleased with the cleaning service at my home. They were very efficient, professional, pleasant and worked very hard for several hours. The results were above my expectations and I would recommend this service to anyone. They have been in business for many years and have an excellent reputation.

Mika and her crew are AMAZING. If you want someone who has attention to detail, personal touch, and goes above and beyond with your house, this is who to call. I have had cleaning services before and have always had concerns about the details and the services. Not with OCS. They took care of everything!!! For the deep clean they hand washed, not just dusted everything in my kitchen. They even cleaned the stove and refrigerator! They swept, mopped, dusted, santized, polished the entire house. They remember the little things like the backsplash of the sinks, wiping soap and toothpaste stains away. It is no wonder they still have their very first customer. I will be passing their name on to everyone looking for cleaning. Thank you OCS!

Two, sometimes three cleaners cleaned the house according to my instructions in one hour. They do a great job and do any cleaning I request. Mika, the owner is a joy to work with. I had used Liberty Maids before and was very unhappy when they would not let me keep the cleaner I was very satisfied with. Oakwood has provided the same excellent cleaners each time.

I was very pleased with all aspects of the cleaning. They do a very thorough job and pay attention to details at what I believe is also a great price. I was also very impressed with the management and their follow up. There was one item I was disappointed in after the first cleaning, but the owner called to check in and after I informed her of the one area that was missed she has made sure it was taken care of in future cleanings. I switched from a franchise cleaning service to Oakwood Cleaning Service because I wasn't satisfied with the quality or follow up from the franchise- I am very pleased with Oakwood Cleaning Service and plan on using them for a long time to come!

Mika and her staff are always punctual, professional and do wonderful work! If they can make my Bachelor pad shine like new then they can definitely do it for anybody. Every time I speak with her or her staff, they are always so very friendly and accommodating. Additionally, any time I have had a special request, they have always risen to the occasion and performed above and beyond my expectations(Which isn't easy as I am very tough taskmaster). So take it from some who who is very particular and sometimes hard to impress, this is the cleaning service you want to use!!

The girls who came were very professional. They did all of the nitty gritty work. I had hurt my back about 3 months ago and hadn't been able to do a good clean in awhile and they did an excellent job.

Hired Oakwood Cleaning based on Angies LIst reviews. Excellent service and excellent people. We have several antique pieces and they were very conscientious around these pieces. They didn't mind that I was home working in my office while they were here. They did an excellent job. The A reviews are all correct. We will be using Oakwood Cleaning going forward.

I tried another service - very small company with very personal touch. They came out and spent 5 hours cleaning instead of 2 hours that Oakwood cleaning usually took to clean 4700sq house. The house was spotless. The picture is of my floors right after the Oakwood cleaning ladies left.

It went great ! The deep clean was real work, as it had been a little bit since we had really deep cleaned. There wasn't a thing i could complain about. They did a great job on the hard places - bathrooms, kitchen. The nice touch was, they actually MOVED the little knick knacks and dusted properly (unlike a previous service). The first regular clean - we had a glitch, but it was really my fault. I gave them the code to the house, and didn't actually have them try it. Our lock works differently than some, and it didn't open for them, because of the difference. But - they came back, and all was good. The house looks great, and we're going to continue service. Great job !

More than anything, I love the owner. She is on top of things and makes calls to check in occasionally. She makes it feel like I'm getting personal service.
