I was impressed with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the company.

We got a nearly 10 x 24 deck cover to protect the wooden deck and get some shade in the summer and snow protection in the winter. Pricing is competitive and service is fantastic! Very professional and friendly. Came just in time for the winter and holidays. It looks lovely with lights and we deal with a lot less snow removal on the deck. I can't wait for the summer! Merit installed patio covers at both my old and new houses. I could not be happier with them. I highly recommend them for the quality of their work and materials and for their integrity.

They started when scheduled, very professional, complete cleanup. Kevin worked closely with insurance company and they covered the complete job.

The two man crew were very efficient, courteous, an cleaned up at the end of the day. They had the windows in an caulked the first day, and came back and wrapped the outside the second day. We could not be happier with the services provided.

I called to speak with some one regarding an estimate for an aluminum awning replacement on my mothers home. The phone was tersely answered "Merit". I said good morning and asked how his morning was going. He simply ignored my attempt to be cordial, did not ask how I was doing and stated "How can I help you?". Not a big deal for most people, I suppose, but I got the distinct impression I was a bother to him. When you are searching for a company to come to your home, particularly in a very competitive industry like home improvement, first impressions mean a lot. I answered "Nothing you can do for me today" and ended the call. Next.

Kevin was very detail oriented in his approach. He made several trips to our house for consultations and to demonstrate the available products. He made many suggestions that improved the overall appearance of our home. He was thorough and patient and always followed up with us. His pricing was many, many thousands of dollars less than Pella and Gilkey. The window installation in our house was particularly tricky since we had plantation shutters in nearly every window. These were custom made shutters for each opening. This required very careful measuring for correct fitment of the new windows and very careful removal and reinstallation. I'm happy to say that the gentlemen from Merit nailed it!! The shutters came out, new windows went in, and the shutters were all reinstalled without a hitch. After heavy damage to our roof as a result of a hailstorm in May 2011, we had to undergo the painstaking process of obtaining quotes from several roofing specialists. During this time, many unsolicited, out-of-town companies with hard-to-believe promises also came to our door to compete for our business. It was apparent that many of these companies could not be trusted especially if a possible warranty situation should arise in the future. However, it was Merit Construction who had won over our trust and confidence from the start. Their personalized service, fair pricing, and professionalism convinced us that they were the right choice for such a sizable and challenging job. They spent a lot of time explaining the details of the job and helped us work through the myriad of shingle and gutter brands, grades, and colors. They also went out of their way to directly communicate with our insurance company which made the entire claim and reimbursement process seamless for us. Because our home is a contemporary design with unusual roof lines and pitches, the job itself was very complex. However, the installation was completed quickly, thoroughly, and with little disruption to our daily routine. Most importantly, the quality of the work far exceeded our expectations. Overall, we are extremely pleased with the service Merit provided and will always recommend them for home improvement needs.

We researched other brands and theirs was the best. Even though it was a little pricey we fell we got a quality product and great installation and service.
