"Thanks for the review! We're grateful here at Merit to still be doing business in our own neighborhood after so many years. It always begins and ends with people like you!"
"Thank you Mr. [Member Name Removed]! It was a pleasure working for you and we sincerely appreciate your trust in hiring us for work on your home. Thanks again for your business and please don't hesitate to call with any future home improvement needs"
"What a great review Mrs. [Member Name Removed]! We are happiest when our customers are happy, thats for sure. Thanks again for your business!"
"Mr [Member Name Removed], It has always been our company's policy to answer our phones and greet customers and clients with our company's name. Regretfully our telephone services can be a bit spotty and sometimes will take a few seconds to register. In general we like to answer the phone "Good morning/afternoon/evening Merit" As for the question "How can I help you?" We aren't sure why that caused an immediate issue. You will find the same question asked among much of the service industry and until right now, we have never heard a complaint about it. As for a 'terse' sales person trying to address the nature of your phone call, I can almost guarantee that 'what we have here is a failure to communicate!' Please let me explain. We average approximately 15 solicitations per day in the office and most of the time, they greet us on the phone much like you and other customers do. "Hey how are you doing today" and even now with all of the information available on the Internet they will even ask for us by name. Just today I answered the phone to a telemarketer saying "Hey is this Richard? How have you been man? I heard you weren't feeling well last month." I assumed then that it may have been a previous customer or one of the manufactures we regularly work with but sure enough it turned out to be someone else trying to sell us credit card processing. While I can't tell you that this was the exact reason for what seems to be unprofessional on our part, I am trying to explain the sometimes 'hidden' nature of our business. This isn't an excuse because we don't really believe in excuses here at Merit. And though I am certain that you genuinely felt our first impression was unsatisfactory, I can assure you that as a customer who lives in the same Miami Valley as all of our salesmen and contractors, we meant no disrespect towards you in any way whatsoever. We hope that you might reconsider us again in the future and we do apologize for any possible misconception that your business wasn't important to us."
"Thank you for the sincere review Mr. [Member Name Removed]. We always want to make sure that we get your home exactly how you'd like it and we have been doing this for such a long time that our work staff often try to make suggestions based on our experiences in the field. We're happy that you're satisfied with our team here at Merit as much as your product and we hope you call us with any other future home improvement needs."
"Thanks for the review Mr. [Member Name Removed]. Unfortunately the brand of retractable awnings that we sell are the 'Cadillac' equivalents of their competitors. Since retractable awnings are more of a luxurious commodity, we refuse to sell any product that is inferior because they are a repairs and service persons nightmare when they don't work right. We actually brought the retractable idea to the Miami Valley years ago and since then there have been many many different brands that we have seen come and go. We have sold the same brand for over twenty five years simply because we haven't found one better yet. Ultimately we're happy that you're satisfied with your awning and we hope that you contact us any time in the future for more of your home improvement needs. Thanks again"
